Metra & Amtrak Action @ Roosevelt Road Bridge, Chicago on 6-21-17

  • This is probably one of the best train viewing points in downtown Chicago; the Roosevelt Road overpass in the South Loop. It is located immediately south of Union Station where most trains are seen arriving and departing for various different endpoints. Also, the two coach yards that serve Metra & Amtrak are immediately south of this bridge. This is a great place to see continuous passenger train operations. Also, I saw the 2 F59's again and a Metra SW1500 doing some yard duty. A day in a nutshell. Enjoy

    Impressive the amount of trains in a single day ... congratulations for the assembly ... who lives to the left side of this camera that records the images is very damaged by the smoke of the locomotives but anyway it is part because to live in a big city is to be exposed to pollution of Every kind of combustion engine in the United States and around the world!
