This is really great advice. We sometimes get stuck learning tricks, but the best way to build true control is to but challenge our stance in slightly uncomfortable position until we build the muscle memory to handle all sorts of awkward positions.

This is a good video. The traversal with the hops is a really great concept.

Sometimes going downhill or being outbalance my bodies reaction is to lean back and i start to gain more speed and lose control. What is the best way to recover from this?

Don't panic and lean back when gaining more speed, alivisersi. Practice your turns on easy runs first and when you master them, take them on steeper slopes. Also practice riding with speed without losing control of your board. You should always be able to control your board !

Keep calm and try to think straight. What you generally want is to have your weight centered so try doing that and then try doing an aggressive slash to scrub off that unwanted speed! That's what I did when I started learning how to snowboard, hope it works for you. Going fast in the beginning is scary and could be fatal not only to yourself but to others as well! Good luck!

No, that’s not Kevin. They are both based out of Whistler though, so I’m surprised they haven’t done a video together.
