The same switch design has been used for over 30 years now. I got a set of both front left and right switches off ebay for less than $6 free shipping. Turns out the same thing is also used on a lot of scooters too. Some not exactly the same shape on the outside but still fit and works fine. I had to dig around for the official Honda part number and some sites want more than $25. It's on the parts fiche for the front brake lever. The official part is discontinued. Most things I like to keep original Honda parts when I can. But for things like this or a choke cable, why not save the money and get a aftermarket part at near the same quality.
I'm building a 08 for my brother while hes deployed in Afghanistan, the brake light worked when I started now it dont work. O put a metor on the switch and it seams on but wont light it up? Wires all seam ok? I jumped the plugs together and still no light.. what should I try
Building a bike for your brother...that's being a good brother....!! That's the same thing I was doing on the bike in this video, for my brother too. Anyway, make sure you check all your fuses under the seat. Also might want to check out another switch...just to confirm that the one your using might have gone bad suddenly... believe me, this can happen. Let me know...thanks!
Headlight low and high beam stopped working. Then worked and stopped working again. Checked fuses and bulbs. Both good. Lost as to what could be causing it not to work. Let me know what you think
What's the purpose of that box? Anyway I resorted to watching your video to remember that the blue wire is facing out. I replaced my killswitch/start button box thinking it would fix my headlights bot working. But it didnt
Hey on the two wires that plug in there is a red wind go towards you and the other one towards the front tire or vice versa or does it even matter? I'm doing mine right now I can't remember which one was where
Yeah make sure that blue wire is plugged in on the "outer" right side. Not sure if it matters, but just to be sure... I'd say do it this way. Thanks for the question 😊
Was looking all over for this. Perfect!!!
Very informative video! Thanks for uploading. You should do more of these.
