Thank you guys , couldn’t be more happier with this video. Helped me and Rafa for the installation of this. Also the blinking thanks heignasio for that.
Hi Edgar, I am lucky my UK model has this installed but your video on installing the Sony radio really helped me. It gave me the confidence to install my new radio myself. Keep up the good work and thank you for making these videos.
Really great video guys. I'll add some details that I think it misses. The part numbers for the Prius servos are 063700-7440 and 063800-0240, it's cheaper to get those at a local auto wrecker, they're abundant. The interior temp sensor (the foam lined one with the hole by the clip) actually screws to the dash trim plastic, there's a little grill vent thing if you're looking at the steering wheel in the drivers seat it's down and to the right. There's also a hose that's supposed to go on it, it goes to the other side of the car and you have to make a hole for it to clip into. The recirculation servo mount is also fairly doable and definitely worth it
Great 👍 for the 1st time someone guided via video for conversion from manual to auto Climate control in Celica Gt/Gts... loved it... m gona do it... thanks alot buddy
I'm a girl and I'm watching this. I do all the work on my Celica myself. Thank you for this video, very informative. I think I'll just keep the stock unit, way too much work, but way cool.
Μine is digital too.I bought my celica t-sport from Germany.I don't know why some models have digital and some other no.It's about the European version or about the year of model. Can someone explain that to me?
I think, digital HVAC was an optional equipment back then, some kind of a premium packet ;-) My Celi was purchased in Czech Rep. and made in Japan... may be in some countries they didn't have digital HVAC as option, but I'm not 100% sure.
Hi Edgar, I unfortunately do not have a celica but your instructions were clear enough to allow me to do this conversion in my Nissan Xterra. I was able to get everything set up but now my temperature dial changes the radio station. Any recommendations are appreciated. p.s my nissan is a right hand drive so i dont have to worry about celsius conversions.
Digital climate control was also available in left hand drive celica's for example Spain, Germany, Netherland, and so on. JDM kids don't know but 95% of the world drive on the right side.
Your vids have been killer for doing at home mods and fixes on my celica like the door actuator replace vid and the digital touch screen infotainment video 💯🔥
Hi can you list all the things needed to make this happen? I have a digital unit but auto mechanic doesn't know how to do it. Maybe a list of all the items it can help me figure out where things go
ive been watching all of your videos lol im about to get my first car which is a toyota celica gts and your videos helps me alooot thank you your awesome and whens the next video?
It's a great video just two things... why not split the cables on the thermistor cooler? it's the same signal you need right? And the black interior sensor goes screw to the grill like part on the trim panel located on your right knee.
Idk what the names are for each part so I’m not sure what you’re referring to lol. And I also don’t know which panel you’re talking about bc I don’t see a grill-like panel by my right knee...
@@equinoxgts lol... the sensor you name on 1:16 I believe you can split the signal instead of add another one. And the panel that I refer to it's the one that's located right next to your right knee when you are sitting on the car. That panel it's called instrument panel finish end and in that panel you'll see a little hole. In the back of that hole you can see the place where the sensor 1:24 goes screw.
@@interceo8213 ohhh, well according the thread on the forums that’s what they did and I just followed, it works. Also I do believe I screwed that sensor somewhere in that area, I’m pretty sure I show it in the vid somewhere haha
Hey Edgar most definitely a great video only got one question what year Prius did the servos come from thanks guy I've got the dash all hung open and had the wrong ones
Well done on the install, my 00 Aussie model didn't come with the high end air controller unit so would love to upgrade it too if I can find one in good nic.
Really struggling to understand where and how the servos are mounted, the rest of the video is great but the servo mounting locations needed more emphasis, im still stuck figuring out where they fit in my car now
Hey I'm not sure if you're still having trouble but I can explain it. There are two screw spots that are shorter and higher up, the servo ending in 7440 screws into those, the plastic arm part faces towards the outside of the car and it looks like the servo is sort of pointing to the top and back of the car. The servo ending in 0240 screws into the taller screw points that are slightly lower than the other one, with the plastic arm part facing towards the inside of the car and the servo points to the floor of the car. The recirculation servo goes on the blower motor assembly and requires some Dremel work to make space the plastic arm fits into the JDM metal arm and the connector part points roughly towards the cabin when in the car. The screw mount that you have to glue to the blower assembly is roughly in line with the ridge that's in the photos in the guide on the forums. Hope that helps
No I didn’t care for it too much, there is a write up on how to do it but I’ve always kept it on fresh air anyways. The car came with that mirror from factory.
Any idea why it goes from really hot on passenger side to cold on drivers side. If I close passenger side. Drivers side gets warmer. Did complete heater core flush and bled all the air from the system. Have 2 celicas, only problem persists on the one
I cannot understand for the life of me why my celica here in America does not have the same climate control. This car was not cheap when it was new and it seems like a real shitty move by Toyota.
Hello very informative video would love to do it on mine but I can’t do any car installs in my parking lot I was wondering if you guys would install it on mine 🥹 would gladly pay you guys if you’re in the LA area much love 🫶 I got the UK Havc conversation kit

Life saver man i accidentally bought the wrong servos in the past having the right part numbers helps a lot
How do you do the recirculation servo mount and do your have to buy another servo for that or only the 2 Prius ones
@@ashtont24 You can cut and relocate it i used a soldering iron and made it work
