Urbansketch.. liked the way you hatched from light to dark side of the street, very nice..I did utube research on my ink question, I'll refill them with water proof ink..but now I have to have water soluble for ink wash,I need more colors too.. Ck-ing on skillshare a lot of urban sketching people on there.. bye'eeee..
Skillshare is indeed filled with great tutorials and urbansketchers. I hope I answered your ink question now in your other comment, sorry for the slow reply I've been away on holidays ☺️ Art does often seem to need more of something! It's hard to sit still and not go out and buy more toys ...
Hi Toby..I have a fountain pen question kaweco lilipnt ,I saw a video where the ink after dry water removed it from the paper,do thy not have Indian ink for those pens that water would not take up?
Hi there! I think there is a typo in your question so I'm not sure I understand but I'll try and answer. There are pens with India ink and other types of waterproof inks - most fineliners for example are waterproof. You can also get waterproof ink for fountain pens, putting India ink in a fountain pen will, however, destroy it. If you're after water soluble pens then fountain pens are a good place to start, but others like optiflow fineliners produce the same effect. I hope that helps!
How do you not loose the outline of an object by hatching, I draw the outline of a object by the end of hatching there is no longer distinction between shade and outline, I get the idea of a cube and simple shapes but on more complex form it’s a inky liney mess

Sometimes you do and you have to redraw the outline, mostly it's about being delicate and working out what works for you
Hi Toby, just caught up with this, unfortunately I found the sound so muffled I couldn't understand a lot of what you were saying.
Apologies Don - this is an older video before I upgraded my soudn - hopefully you'll find it much improved now.
