Nice video, i really liked it, i don't know why i find it relaxing to see the world shapeshift after each boss. anyways i had a weird Terraria challenge... remember the vertical world? how about you do the same but horizontally, it's a flat and wide world with all the biomes and stuff necessary, if that idea does not work for whatever reason, i have a secondary idea which i will call "Layered World", in which the world is separated by layers depending the biome, the layer is flat and wide, and very little vertical, vertical enough for stuff to work, sounds fun for me, a Layered Cake world... i hope you read this idea and like it. anyways good work as always :)
Its really cool seeing the world change and evolve and see all the things that change especially the spider nests constantly getting more webs. But its also sad seeing everything starting to fall apart and some areas barely holding together like the ocean being bubbles keeping the ocean there but eventually the water dropped. I really want to try this because it seems like so much fun.
this was a surprisingly somber episode, just watching the world fall apart more and more with each block type going missing over time. but no matter what the world kept looking absolutely amazing and so seeing this gorgeous world slowly falling to ruin was beautiful but as I said. somber
2:12 Him:i dident know small worlds could have 2 shrines Me:Has 0 Shrines in a Large world only a small shrine I wanted enchanted sword for zenith but..... It gave me terragrim
Thank you again for all the amazing videos! It’s been super fun to see all the new “biomes” that formed and died, and even if it was just random chaos, it was beautiful random chaos, and I was happy to see it through to it’s end. I loved this series, and I’m sure the next terraria series, no matter what it is, will be great; for now, I’m more than happy with all the content, terraria or otherwise, that you’ve made, and am ready and excited to see more
I don't know if you realize this, or you've made an accidental pun by placing SotN music when you found a sword shrine, because the Arkhalis is a reference to one of the most annoying swords to grind for in SotN. Speaking of, I'd enjoy any Castlevania content.
arkhalis was replaced with the terragrim (even bigger reference to crissaegrim). can still get arkhalis with arkhalis' dev set from hardmode treasure bags
I once used a seed from a steam guide which had 2 sword shrines around 50 blocks near each other and got 2 terragrims then after that I played something else and got a uncommon item when there was a 99% chance to get a legendary
Terraria, But the world is flooded (Water, not Lava) And underworld is Honey also, letting you know, in Tedit, you can brush over other liquids, no need to fill each cave individually with a bucket, and if you click, and then shift-click somewhere else, it paints a straight line between those 2 points
This playtrough was great. It had kind a of nostalgic feel to it, especially how you did world tours after every boss you killed. Overall i loved it, keep up with the great content 👌
TBH, Most Terraria challenges (Okay, Video Game challenges in general) feel like a sweaty attempt to milk it until it's drier than a bad sense of humor. You, on the other hand, feel fresh, and fun to watch.
That second phase Blizzeta music caught me so off guard, such an amazing track. I love how often you use the Twilight Princess OST in your videos, it feels like nobody else uses it except for a few songs.
Man, this is more of an apocalypse than the corruption overtaking technically is, or could ever be. This is a dying planet, slowly crumbling beneath you, the core dying, then the water vanishing, then finally breaking apart. Kinda awesome.
The music choices for this vid are incredible, it really fits the mood of the rapidly changing and disappearing landscape. Definitely one of my favorite terraria vids!
I've checked out many of your playlists about entertaining Terraria playthroughs. The limited and surreal runs like "prototypical weapon class", minimal width world and skyblocks appear *way* more grindy/painful yet also fascinating to watch and even try myself... compared to just bypassing half of the game/game's challenge with randomly generated cash money blocks, that look fancy but don't significantly change the base game playthrough. Long story short, it's fun to watch you do different stuff when adapting to different worlds instead of grabbing THE SAME 6 items (WoS, Sunfury, Space Gun. Deadalus Stormbow, Repeater and Lunar Dragon) again and again and again.^^
have to agree on the preference of challenges adding and changing, not limiting. that's the best way i've ever heard it put. that's also exactly what i prefer watching since they're just so much more fun
My god your music is perfect, I don’t know if it’s intentional but late game really creeps me out with so many blocks gone combined with music! Love it!!
God this absolutely must be the most beatiful Terraria playthrough videos ive seen! After each boss it Felt like Going into an alternate dimension, And even if some of the biomes were mess, some were absolutely beatiful to see I must thank you for doing the world Tours for showing me more of this beauty
The selection of music is perfect… most of these songs are from my childhood, like Mario Galaxy. Thank you for letting me know that I’m not the only one with a great taste of music. :)
i honestly got so excited when i saw this in my feed. it was a great run honestly seeing how you adapted to each change. perhaps next you could do an item randomizer of some kind? like it randomizes your gear or randomizes the loot tables of stuff
I think is funny how at the end your equipment is a combination of seemingly random stuff (solar chest plate and helmet, titanium boots, stardust wings, a vortex weapon and luminite bullets), just like the world itself
Ah 8-1 of new super Mario Bros DS, I remember being like 10 sitting in a library playing it, not being able to cope with the volcanic cloud chasing you.
This series was very interesting because the grind was way different and a lot of shenanigans happened. I’m glad you went and explored the world because it was interesting to see what happened to the world and what changed to what. Also, I’m pretty sure New Super Mario Bros was one of the first games I played too. Maybe after Donkey Kong Country.
Man those world tours are the most interesting aspect of this playthrough haha! I loved it when the caves were glowing dark blue due to the shroomite bricks! How about a playthrough were you play with maximum zoom? I havent seen much use of the zoom function personally, but I feel like that could change the gameplay a lot haha Keep up the great work!!
the first time i played through terraria, wall of flesh took forever, but i eventually killed it with the minishark and night's edge. Then, harmode destroyed me due to me not finding any hardmode ores, my hellevator being in a desert biome, so desert elementals would wreck me, and pirates spawned first thing, dropped nothing, and i had to fight all of them from in my house, with a STARFURY. I eventually got a mechanical skull and a mechanical worm from random drops, which is probably because i am actually pretty lucky, but the hardmode ores just were not spawning somehow. I died to skeletron prime. I died to destroyer. then after some prep, i beat all of them, and got stuck finding the bulb. once I beat Plantera, though, it just got really easy. At least, until the solar pillar.
I absolutely love the randomized block runs! The world always turns into a series of fascinating biomes and interesting challenges. Your videos make me want to do one myself!
I was gonna suggest a no crafting playthrough (you essentially have to gather everything you need from the world itself, rather than crafting) but then i saw that last comment about limiting existing aspects of the game not being as fun as other challenge runs. Either way, I'll throw the idea out there for you to check out if you feel like it :) I'm currently doing a run myself and it's been pretty fun. It's possible to at the very least defeat WoF but hardmode might be a bit tougher, considering ores are basically useless. anyways amazing video as always :)) thanks for all the content and keep up the good work!
A moment of silence for how much the biomes have been destroyed by gravity-affected blocks, separate blocks getting the same new block, and invalid blocks that just disappear. It truly is amazing.
I have an idea for a terraria challenge, it's a normal playthrough just like normal however the biomes are flipped e.g. the underworld is now on the surface and the dungeon entrance will be at the bottom of the world. Also you spawn at the bottom of the world instead of the surface
I had this very epic idea in mind Terraria but every 30 minutes a random guy enters your world and tries to kill you. They have up to 5 or 10 minutes (you choose) to try and kill you >they can use any weapom they want unless it pierces (so no zenith, vile crystal ect.) >they can bring anything as weaponry, even traps or boulders >if they kill you or you survive, nothing happens >if you are able to kill them however, using anything even traps, you get to give yourself any item, weapon or crafting station (of course you aren't allowed to give yourself something hardmode if you are in pre hardmode) We could also make it so that the more bosses you kill, the more hunters can get in your world. And that numbers resests when you kill WoF. I still have to figure out how to "choose" the hunters, so once i do I'll edit my comment or smth
You absolutely crushed it with this series, every episode was fun and entertaining. You’re seriously a creativity inspiration for me. Keep up the awesome stuff 🤙🏻
Challenge: A small world divided into 8 vertical sections each is 525 tiles wide starting from the right and going left : Normal forest > Crimson > Tundra > Desert > corruption > Jungle > Jungle Temple > The Dungen. Build a border between them and once you cross a border you are not allowed to go back, the Tundra is the only section that has hell (the others will be filled with lava) so you will have to fight WoF there, the Desert section should contain a lot of caves to mine for hard mode ores, the corruption will be your last chance to get mechanical summons, ammo or anything else you want, you are allowed to Tedit the celestial pillars, or go back to other sections only to beat the pillars. You might want to add specific effects to every section like it's always raining in the tundra, always night in the corruption or 4x spawn rate in the desert :) I hope I didn't miss any crucial requirement to beat the game.
I have a few ideas if you’re interested, not sure if they’d be good or not. - You could make it so that every time you kill a boss, the world loses blocks. Not exactly shrinking, more like the caves and holes get bigger and bigger until the world is air - The above, but instead of getting rid of blocks, you add them, so there is less air each time until the whole world is blocks - Another randomizer, but it’s just the walls. Or randomize both the blocks and walls. - If possible, you could flip a world on its side and do a sideways playthrough. Or, if it’ll work, an upside-down playthrough, where you’re either in reversed gravity the whole time or the world is just flipped so that the underworld is now in the sky, and the sky in the underworld, etc - A playthrough that could randomize a permanent buff, debuff, both, multiple, etc, either every time you kill a boss or after a certain amount of time (example: after you kill eoc, your effects are randomly “Happy!, Cozy, Poisoned, Blind, Swiftness” or something like that - Throwing class playthrough pog? - Some silly goals like “craft every furniture” or “get every accessory” or “make every armor set” or something - Similar to the block randomizer, but instead of the blocks themselves being randomized, their textures are. I don’t know if you can edit textures but it might be possible to do it if you find enough different types of paint that’ll significantly alter the look? - A playthrough where your character is invisible? - Similar to the previous one, but instead of just being invisible, you can’t see the inner 3rd of your screen ir something (so you’d only be able to see the outer edges of the screen… like wearing glasses) - After every boss, you lose some sort of other feature that isn’t blocks (i.e, you could lose 1 heart permanently after every boss, lose 1 inventory slot, lose 1 accessory/armor/equipment slot, like that) - A more blessed and easy-going playthrough where you play normal mode but the bosses drop treasure bags - A playthrough where there’s a rule that every time you come across a new accessory, you have to get rid of an existing one (even if you didn’t want it: if you have hermes boots and you come across an aglet you gotta replace em) or some other variant of this idea where if you come across something you HAVE to use it That’s all the ideas I have, dunno if they’ll be of any use or not, but in the meantime while you brainstorm I can’t wait to see how the other game playthroughs go!!! Especially the Subnautica one, and I can’t wait for the Stardew Finale!! I hope they both do super well :D
this plathrough was super fun to watch! i'm not good at coming up with creative ideas for things like this, so i can't give much suggestion in that regard sadly. loved the use of galaxy music, too. also hell yeah for geology, if i wasn't majoring in biology i probably would go for that. maybe i'll minor in it 🤔
Idk if this counts more as a geology joke or as a petroleum joke, but here it goes; Shale in most places: A soft flakey sedimentary rock, composed of various clay minerals and small flakes of minerals such as quartz and calcite Shale in America: _Oil rock go brrrrr_
Try inverted blocks, like the toughest block becomes the easiest block to break, hollow becomes solid, solid becomes hollow, rare becomes common, common is rare, etc. it'd take a while to think of the opposite of all the blocks, but it'd be fun.. i think
This might be my favorite Terraria series from you yet, mainly just seeing the worlds. You mentioned how the vertical world was an interesting one for you before, now an idea, let's see a horizontal world. EDIT: Albeit, maybe not right away since you did the shrinking world not too long ago.

honestly this makes for a far more interesting playthrough cause you pretty much have to plan out how many materials and items you need for every boss you gotta kill
You should try a challenge (if you haven't done before) where all enemies (and bosses, just for fun) can drop anything (and I mean ANYTHING) so you could get a terraprisma from a blue slime or a zenith from a skeleton.

anyways i had a weird Terraria challenge... remember the vertical world? how about you do the same but horizontally, it's a flat and wide world with all the biomes and stuff necessary, if that idea does not work for whatever reason, i have a secondary idea which i will call "Layered World", in which the world is separated by layers depending the biome, the layer is flat and wide, and very little vertical, vertical enough for stuff to work, sounds fun for me, a Layered Cake world... i hope you read this idea and like it. anyways good work as always :)
Its really cool seeing the world change and evolve and see all the things that change especially the spider nests constantly getting more webs. But its also sad seeing everything starting to fall apart and some areas barely holding together like the ocean being bubbles keeping the ocean there but eventually the water dropped. I really want to try this because it seems like so much fun.
i unironically love the way you edited this like where you kept going to repeating locations showing how different they were
this was a surprisingly somber episode, just watching the world fall apart more and more with each block type going missing over time. but no matter what the world kept looking absolutely amazing and so seeing this gorgeous world slowly falling to ruin was beautiful but as I said. somber
2:12
Him:i dident know small worlds could have 2 shrines
Me:Has 0 Shrines in a Large world only a small shrine I wanted enchanted sword for zenith but.....
It gave me terragrim
Thank you again for all the amazing videos! It’s been super fun to see all the new “biomes” that formed and died, and even if it was just random chaos, it was beautiful random chaos, and I was happy to see it through to it’s end. I loved this series, and I’m sure the next terraria series, no matter what it is, will be great; for now, I’m more than happy with all the content, terraria or otherwise, that you’ve made, and am ready and excited to see more
What a great end to this series! Randomizer challenges are always a guilty pleasure of mine, especially when you have to work with what you have.
Yeah I was checking the Terragrim drop rate and saw the reference in the trivia, so I used a SotN track.
Acknowledging a reference isn’t making a pun.
I once used a seed from a steam guide which had 2 sword shrines around 50 blocks near each other and got 2 terragrims then after that I played something else and got a uncommon item when there was a 99% chance to get a legendary
@@theterrarian5523 Luck is a pain... same with RNG.
0:41 Okay can I just say that Madeline is the perfect name for a Nurse
“I think that was the first game I ever played”? Mine too!! First game I ever 100%’d too, even though it was years later.
Terraria, But the world is flooded (Water, not Lava) And underworld is Honey
also, letting you know, in Tedit, you can brush over other liquids, no need to fill each cave individually with a bucket, and if you click, and then shift-click somewhere else, it paints a straight line between those 2 points
11:46 Those Trees Look So Good!
I love the music, it really fits the strange sight that is your glowing world of randomness
The music in this video is absolutely enchanting. I'm in another world of bliss watching this lol
At 17:03 I really resonated with Phantom Hourglass. I just get excited whenever i hear about it from anywhere.
This is my favorite terraria play through yet! Also, I know I already said this, but your music choices fit perfectly!
13:56 It will remain until you perpetuate the cycle of existence.
I don't really focus on the combat or bosses anyways, hence Classic mode. I'm more focused on the world. To each their own though.
My favourite part of this series has been you exploring the (often) beautiful world to beautiful music. Thank you for this!
have to agree on the preference of challenges adding and changing, not limiting. that's the best way i've ever heard it put. that's also exactly what i prefer watching since they're just so much more fun
My god your music is perfect, I don’t know if it’s intentional but late game really creeps me out with so many blocks gone combined with music!
Love it!!
God this absolutely must be the most beatiful Terraria playthrough videos ive seen! After each boss it Felt like Going into an alternate dimension, And even if some of the biomes were mess, some were absolutely beatiful to see
I must thank you for doing the world Tours for showing me more of this beauty
The selection of music is perfect… most of these songs are from my childhood, like Mario Galaxy. Thank you for letting me know that I’m not the only one with a great taste of music. :)
i honestly got so excited when i saw this in my feed. it was a great run honestly seeing how you adapted to each change. perhaps next you could do an item randomizer of some kind? like it randomizes your gear or randomizes the loot tables of stuff
Phantom hourglass is a wonderful game full of so many memories… it’s nice to know plenty other people got to enjoy it too!
I think is funny how at the end your equipment is a combination of seemingly random stuff (solar chest plate and helmet, titanium boots, stardust wings, a vortex weapon and luminite bullets), just like the world itself
Lol true
The songs in the backgrounds of each time you explored the world were all so amazing and fit the situation so much.
I am MESMERIZED by every tour of the world, the music you pick each time also helps creating an amazing ambiance
Very good series, thank you
Ah 8-1 of new super Mario Bros DS, I remember being like 10 sitting in a library playing it, not being able to cope with the volcanic cloud chasing you.
I’m not sure why but I find this series to be really entertaining. Good work.
5:11 easily one of the prettiest worlds
Man those world tours are the most interesting aspect of this playthrough haha! I loved it when the caves were glowing dark blue due to the shroomite bricks!
How about a playthrough were you play with maximum zoom? I havent seen much use of the zoom function personally, but I feel like that could change the gameplay a lot haha
Keep up the great work!!
Max zoom, sniper scope???
No, max zoom as in you’re fully zoomed in on your character
the first time i played through terraria, wall of flesh took forever, but i eventually killed it with the minishark and night's edge.
Either way, I'll throw the idea out there for you to check out if you feel like it :)
I'm currently doing a run myself and it's been pretty fun. It's possible to at the very least defeat WoF but hardmode might be a bit tougher, considering ores are basically useless.
anyways amazing video as always :)) thanks for all the content and keep up the good work!
I really loved this video, even with all the chaos and destruction it felt kind of relaxing, even comforting at times. Keep the good work my man
A moment of silence for how much the biomes have been destroyed by gravity-affected blocks, separate blocks getting the same new block, and invalid blocks that just disappear. It truly is amazing.
I have an idea for a terraria challenge, it's a normal playthrough just like normal however the biomes are flipped e.g. the underworld is now on the surface and the dungeon entrance will be at the bottom of the world. Also you spawn at the bottom of the world instead of the surface
i was literaly thinking the same thing, cept the entire world was flipped
That was my idea too, I just couldn't figure out how to word it properly because I'm pretty tired XD
Someone has already done this
Oh ok, thank you for telling me
Yay more of this series! This is probably one of my favorites on your channel.
I had this very epic idea in mind
Terraria but every 30 minutes a random guy enters your world and tries to kill you. They have up to 5 or 10 minutes (you choose) to try and kill you
>they can use any weapom they want unless it pierces (so no zenith, vile crystal ect.)
>they can bring anything as weaponry, even traps or boulders
>if they kill you or you survive, nothing happens
>if you are able to kill them however, using anything even traps, you get to give yourself any item, weapon or crafting station (of course you aren't allowed to give yourself something hardmode if you are in pre hardmode)
We could also make it so that the more bosses you kill, the more hunters can get in your world. And that numbers resests when you kill WoF. I still have to figure out how to "choose" the hunters, so once i do I'll edit my comment or smth
Wand of Sparking; Major: Geology. Minor: Oceanography. Professional Terraria and Stardew player
You absolutely crushed it with this series, every episode was fun and entertaining. You’re seriously a creativity inspiration for me. Keep up the awesome stuff 🤙🏻
Challenge:
A small world divided into 8 vertical sections
each is 525 tiles wide starting from the right and going left :
Normal forest > Crimson > Tundra > Desert > corruption > Jungle > Jungle Temple > The Dungen.
You might want to add specific effects to every section like it's always raining in the tundra, always night in the corruption or 4x spawn rate in the desert :)
I hope I didn't miss any crucial requirement to beat the game.
I have a few ideas if you’re interested, not sure if they’d be good or not.
- You could make it so that every time you kill a boss, the world loses blocks. Not exactly shrinking, more like the caves and holes get bigger and bigger until the world is air
- The above, but instead of getting rid of blocks, you add them, so there is less air each time until the whole world is blocks
- Another randomizer, but it’s just the walls. Or randomize both the blocks and walls.
- If possible, you could flip a world on its side and do a sideways playthrough. Or, if it’ll work, an upside-down playthrough, where you’re either in reversed gravity the whole time or the world is just flipped so that the underworld is now in the sky, and the sky in the underworld, etc
- A playthrough that could randomize a permanent buff, debuff, both, multiple, etc, either every time you kill a boss or after a certain amount of time (example: after you kill eoc, your effects are randomly “Happy!, Cozy, Poisoned, Blind, Swiftness” or something like that
- Throwing class playthrough pog?
- Some silly goals like “craft every furniture” or “get every accessory” or “make every armor set” or something
- Similar to the block randomizer, but instead of the blocks themselves being randomized, their textures are. I don’t know if you can edit textures but it might be possible to do it if you find enough different types of paint that’ll significantly alter the look?
- A playthrough where your character is invisible?
- Similar to the previous one, but instead of just being invisible, you can’t see the inner 3rd of your screen ir something (so you’d only be able to see the outer edges of the screen… like wearing glasses)
- After every boss, you lose some sort of other feature that isn’t blocks (i.e, you could lose 1 heart permanently after every boss, lose 1 inventory slot, lose 1 accessory/armor/equipment slot, like that)
- A more blessed and easy-going playthrough where you play normal mode but the bosses drop treasure bags
- A playthrough where there’s a rule that every time you come across a new accessory, you have to get rid of an existing one (even if you didn’t want it: if you have hermes boots and you come across an aglet you gotta replace em) or some other variant of this idea where if you come across something you HAVE to use it
That’s all the ideas I have, dunno if they’ll be of any use or not, but in the meantime while you brainstorm I can’t wait to see how the other game playthroughs go!!! Especially the Subnautica one, and I can’t wait for the Stardew Finale!! I hope they both do super well :D
this plathrough was super fun to watch! i'm not good at coming up with creative ideas for things like this, so i can't give much suggestion in that regard sadly. loved the use of galaxy music, too. also hell yeah for geology, if i wasn't majoring in biology i probably would go for that. maybe i'll minor in it 🤔
Yoooo I started watching your vids like a week ago and man you’ve already reached the top of my favorite creators list, keep up the good work man ❤️
11:10 reminds me of when you get memory issues in NES or SNES games
I love seeing the odd world gen after every randomize, especially the alien looking ones
Idk if this counts more as a geology joke or as a petroleum joke, but here it goes;
Shale in most places: A soft flakey sedimentary rock, composed of various clay minerals and small flakes of minerals such as quartz and calcite
Shale in America: _Oil rock go brrrrr_
Try inverted blocks, like the toughest block becomes the easiest block to break, hollow becomes solid, solid becomes hollow, rare becomes common, common is rare, etc. it'd take a while to think of the opposite of all the blocks, but it'd be fun.. i think
agree with your closing thoughts, i think the challenges where you're having more fun with them are also more fun to watch!
I love how chill everything is the Legend of Zelda music in the background no crazy intro just a really cool channel, keep up the great work!
"its still holding the ocean even though the block isnt solid"
bubble block: silent sobbing
This might be my favorite Terraria series from you yet, mainly just seeing the worlds. You mentioned how the vertical world was an interesting one for you before, now an idea, let's see a horizontal world.
EDIT: Albeit, maybe not right away since you did the shrinking world not too long ago.
How does this channel only have 147k subscribers? They should have wayyy more then that with the variety of content, upload schedule, and original content. Keep up the good work man :D
ikr
I mean he does speak through text for some probably personal reason which doesnt mix well with the word "popular"
But i like it so i dont mind
Sometimes when I'm not sure about starting a RUclips channel, seeing you and the progress you've made, and the unique quality content that you put out is very inspiring. I haven't done it yet, but maybe one day!
I have to say, the SOTN music choices this time were on point. The kind of oddly familiar sense of recognizing the layout but with different blocks
11:45 This living tree colour combo is pretty nice.
For the algorithm!
It's kind of insane just how... Empty, a world becomes after being randomised so often. Also that final echo block dungeon looked fun to explore XD
Your house at the beginning:
Normal starter pack house
Your house at the end:
I dunno man it looks like the empress of light gave you her blessing
5:11 the nostalgia hit so hard there
honestly this makes for a far more interesting playthrough cause you pretty much have to plan out how many materials and items you need for every boss you gotta kill
16:55 i think that was the first game i ever saw my friend play, specifically that level too 8-1 on NSMB is actually quite hard in my opinion
Probably my favorite series so far!
you being a geology major makes a lot more of this series make sense LMAO. love it!!
You should try a challenge (if you haven't done before) where all enemies (and bosses, just for fun) can drop anything (and I mean ANYTHING) so you could get a terraprisma from a blue slime or a zenith from a skeleton.
