Update: A song is this video got a bogus copyright claim so I unfortunately had to mute a couple minutes of it (at 59:52). I've had this happen before, basically someone will steal a Nintendo song, almost completely copy it and add basically nothing, and then pretend it's their own song and copyright claim anyone who uses the real one. If you want to play the song in the background at that point, it was Stickerbrush Symphony from DKC2. Sorry about that! Also, thanks for the support on this video, I'm going to do more Stardew when I find the time :)
Anyway, here's the old comment, I want to have the copyright thing at the top for people that are wondering if their headphones are busted, Spoilers Below!
After checking the Stardew Predictor tool to see if I missed a garbage hat, I confirmed that I didn't. So we went 2,014 straight cans without finding a 1 in 500 drop. Over 98 times out of 100 you would get at least one in that sample size. Payment for our 95th percentile living hat luck I guess.

There's a challenge that I think would be pretty insane: Upgrading every tool to iridium as fast as possible.
It'd involve getting a bunch of money before spring 5 and also lucking out and getting at least one ore for Clint's furnace recipe, then rushing to get 25 copper in the first day. And then it's a race between getting money for more tool upgrades and trying to get to the Skull Cavern. I imagine that the earliest possible time would be summer 25

    • @Giggityxxgooo

I really have to admire the editing here, because if you told me pre-watch that you'd get the last hat summer 3 year 3 I'd have taken it as a massive, unqualified success. Holy shit, you did what I'd assumed was gonna take 4-5 in game years AT BEST, and done it just over 3? amazing. Dude, incredible job on this video. I always look forward to your Stardew playthroughs; the amount of work that you put into them is absolutely incredible. It's crazy that you were able to get the living hat but missed out on the garbage hat. Considering how those are seeded to the game seed and the day, there's absolutely nothing you could have done about that though. All things considered; had you gotten a game seed that guaranteed a garbage hat this challenge likely would have been possible, which is absolutely crazy to think about. Amazing job on the content as always; I was holding my breath while watching this video. Looking forward to what you have in store next for the channel 💜

Very cool challenge, and I'm a sucker for long videos so that was an extra treat :D In my own Stardew Valley Perfection playthrough (which consisted of nearly six in-game years and about 150 hours of playtime), I don't think I ever found the garbage hat, but then again I was almost never actively looking for it. I did however get the living hat, and was very amused to see that you got it in a very similar fashion
One day it was just in my inventory without me noticing 😂 I never once killed a wilderness golem either. Anyway, this was a very nice video to binge, so keep up the good work and I hope you have a nice day!

Love watching your longer videos, I can see why the more episodic style works better for youtube. But it is really nice going to look at the progress bar and see it only a little bit done

For a channel that doesn't speak a single word I have to respect the fact that you don't make any grammatical errors or any typos in your videos.

I always like how chill these playthroughs are. I'm sure the algorithm gods won't look upon the viewer retention of a 70 minute video that well, so I hope my watch time and comment can offset it a bit.

I love your stardew valley content. Your 2 year perfection is what caused me to buy stardew, and recently I’ve started a challenge run of getting as much perfection in year 1 as possible (I think 97.3% is the maximum possible in year one) and I think I’ve planned a good enough route to do it. I’m doing it with the Joja center because it’s so much more difficult doing it with the community center.

I absolutely loved this more long form content, at least personally. I feel like I generally enjoy longer, if fewer videos than the episodic style, but that's just me.

Why did this video feel so much better than all the others? They’re all amazing, but this one was just on a different level for some reason for me

I have watched them all multiple times :) looking forward to the next stardew challenge whatever it may be xoxo

fantastic as always! always a good day when a new wos stardew challenge comes out. it's a shame that they take so long to make compared to the viewcounts they get, but your dedication super pays off.
even with how the challenge turned out, I'd still say this run proves a pretty definitive "yes" for the title, where the only limiting factor was RNG.

Wand of sparking 2022: what if I do that again.... but with outrageously low drop rate hats

And people complain about the drop rates of the RoD or Slime Staff... Stardew Valley's RNG is next level. Props to you for sticking it out for so long!

This was such an awesome video!! A shame you didn’t get the trash hat in time, but what you did was still crazy impressive and you edited it in such an awesome way! I actually sighed irl when you got the wild hat lol.
This was awesome to watch and I’m looking forward to your next video! :D

57:53 Why do you "sound" so defeated, tho? Ahahaha! I didn't know about the Cave triggering during the day, but it makes sense. Maybe you should make a run looking for White Slimes? You have to breed them, so, lots of playing with the Slime Hutch.
Weird thing is, the Wiki lists the Party Hats as such:
First one: A goofy red hat that makes any celebration more fun.
Second one: A goofy blue hat that makes any celebration more fun.
Third one: A goofy green hat that makes any celebration more fun.
Yet, we've seen it's not the case at all in game. Like you said, the Wiki *is* wrong, sometimes!
