I am from Texas and live in New Mexico. I love red bud trees. They are so pretty and not red. 😂 The blooms don't last very long. People plant them here in New Mexico because they are drought resistant. They were brought here in 1598, but the story is debated.

I am from Bemidji, Minnesota and I have seen those trees before.
There is a place in the Minnesota National Chippewa Forest that is called the "The Lost 40." Remember those tall pine trees were used for masts in the old days. The rumor is the surveyors got drunk and messed up the numbers. Any who, those old pines are HUGE, old growth, for centuries. m

They used to have machines that would draw out birthday cards. I had one made in the Dan Marino/ Miami Dolphins style. I had it signed (Happy Birthday James, Dan Marino)
Omg he was so thrilled. He cryed he was so happy. I often thought I should tell him the truth, but never did. It made him feel special. Kina like the Santa thing... Malted grain is used to make beer, whisky, malted milk, malt vinegar, confections such as Maltesers and Whoppers, flavored drinks such as Horlicks, Ovaltine, and Milo, and some baked goods, such as malt loaf, bagels, and Rich Tea biscuits. Malted grain that has been ground into a coarse meal is known as "sweet meal".

And here's a tidbit of useless information.... Do you know who bought RoBee's House of Beef restaurant chain then turned it into Roy Rogers restaurants in 1968? The Marriott Corporation. Yes, the Marriott Hotels, Marriott Corporation. The company began as a 9-seat root beer stand in 1927 in Washington, DC. In 1937 they added an in-flight catering business for the popular, up-and-coming commercial airlines and became the world's leading supplier of airplane food. And in 1967, they purchased the iconic Bob's Big Boy restaurant chain. (Sorry, lots of Marriott tidbits. I made it to just under 30 years at the company - thanks COVID.)

Funny this video popped-up. I just spent the afternoon going through 2 large Antique Malls and bought NOTHING! Most Dealer's are absolutely INSANE on their prices! Items that sell on-line for $10.00 (as an example)...a Dealer might be asking $50, $60, $70 for the exact same thing!! I saw several items that had a layer of dust on them and even some faded price tags....that's how long they've been sitting there! The other thing is the fact that most of these items are not needed...they're bought for display, etc. Dealer's....quit with the crazy prices...you're in the business of selling stuff and not a museum

Those trees look like Jacaranda. You see towns full of them in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
