oh, old oil is so stinky!! Well, that wasn't nearly as bad as what I invisioned. I thought you hid a sandbar and when flying out of the boat! Or a hill side bottle dump burried you. The Chevy emblem looks like one mounted on the grill. Yeah, google had some images for that brand of beer and their bottle openers and they were really odd looking. And you even found a critter!

One jackass throwing an oil filter into the stream caused all this havoc. WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THAT!!!!!! Spark plugs?? Whatever, and I don't even understand why every stream in America is littered with spark plugs, but an OIL FILTER??? What a mess. Gasoline will get that off, but who wants to coat themselves with gasoline. Naphtha maybe, but I would not want to coast myself in that either.
You reminded me of one of the critters from the Exxon Valdez disaster in 1989. I believe they used Dawn dish soap to clean up the oily otters 🦦 and birds 🦅.
Chigg, I'm sure you know the story about all the US silver reserve being used to make wire and tubing for the Manhattan Project. But the economy was pumping and we had to have coinage. So the silver mines operated at full capacity. Yes, WW2 silver is very special.
Good days can turn bad , and that oil situation was bad , but worse things could happen , When I first saw your face the other day I thought to myself Chigg fell face first into something , I'm glad that wasn't what happened, thanks for telling us what took place , either way I'm glad you were okay, Thanks Chigg.
The things we do for fans 🤣 My wife and I absolutely love your videos. Sadly, we have binged them all and have to wait for your new videos drop to get our fix. Excellent work Sir! Thank you for your time
You'll like this Beau. i was a mechanic . We ha a mobile drain trolley for draining oil. It has a basin on a tube with a one way valve in the bottom It has an inlet for the airline which normally has an adjustable pressure valve to drop the airline pressure down to 5 psi from a 120 psi and another drain hose to drain the oil into the waste oil tank. It uses the 5psi to drain the tank into the waste oil tank. What you do is open the valve on the drain hose and then open the other valve on the airline to pressurise and drain the tank. Some bastard took the pressure regulator off the drain tank to use elsewhere and didn't put it back So... Im talking to my boss and listening carefully to what he was saying and plugged the airline in with out the pressure regulator in line and wore the contents as it over came the one way valve in the bowl and i wore it all of the used engine oil at 120 psi. Not one of my best days . Nearly as bad as you encounter with the poison ivy while cutting your neighbours trees. LOL My day included a trip to the hospital to get my eyes flushed out. I didn't do that a second time. what a mess.
"The Original Old German Beer" something is a slider bottle opener from the 1930s. You'd push a button to slide out the bottle opener from the sheath like a box cutter. There's a couple examples online.
My first thought was OH NO!! What happened this time!. Then I thought,, Wow, he looks like Batman's Joker! Sorry for what you went through. Not fun but you did find some great stuff.. And you shared your bad and kept it real as you always do.
I am so relieved to see that you are okay. First thought was that you had some kind of accident involving your face. It really looked like two black eyes. What a relief. Take care and God bless you.
Due to a heart valve replacement, I have to take blood thinners. I was out treasure hunting the river and caught my cheek on a briar. I scratched me good, but I was bleeding like crazy. My shirt had blood all over it. I also had a shovel and backpack. Well, along comes the girls rowing team, going up the river. They seen me and I think they towed a lot faster. I bet they set a new record getting back. I looked pretty crazy when I got home. The scratch wasn’t even that bad, but it bled and bled
What a mess. Sad to see all the rivers edge dumps. You have to wonder what people were thinking back then to just dump everything in rivers abd streams. Guess they weren't. Loved watching the cat walk back and forth on the porch rail. This would of been a great video to insert linda blairs exorcist photo in while our eyes were glued on the creek bed looking for treasures. Have a good one.
Maybe it's time to spend a little more time at home amoungst your treasures? I'm working on some conservative conservation work on an 1864 Union light cavalry sabre...maybe you could do something like this for awhile? Curious as to your swords & sabres collection, would love to see them sometime! Take care, Beau...

In the beginning of the final quest, a man descended into the River Dump, a place of forgotten things and forsaken memories. And lo, he beheld the waters, clear and inviting, yet within them lay the hidden and the forsaken. And as he labored, a disaster came upon him, a calamity unseen but foretold by the shadows. He plunged into the river, seeking the relics of a bygone era, and the waters whispered secrets of the past. Yet, amidst the treasures, there lurked a harbinger of woe: a great and ominous blob, a false trove of riches. With a mighty strike upon the rock, he sought to reveal its bounty, but behold, a dark and noxious substance flowed forth. This was no treasure, but an ancient oil filter, sealed for decades, now unleashed. And the man tasted the bitterness of the past, as the oil seeped into his mouth and eyes, marking him with the stain of history. His vision was obscured, his body enshrouded in the slick, oily essence of bygone years. The lens through which he captured the world grew dim, a testament to his plight. Yet, with steadfast heart, he continued, his resolve unwavering, even as the hunt was cut short by the relentless grip of the oil. And so, he returned to his abode, seeking purification. He anointed himself with WD40 and Dawn soap, scrubbing away the sins of the river. Emerging cleansed yet marked, he surveyed his findings: a dog tag from 1953, a button from the time of great wars, and a silver quarter from 1944. These relics, born of conflict and memory, were now his, their tales intertwined with his own. And he recounted his journey, reflecting on the trials and the triumphs. Despite the suffering, the river's secrets were revealed unto him. And he vowed to return, for the spirit of discovery burned brightly within him, undaunted by the trials of the deep. Thus, the tale of the River Dump continued, an eternal testament to the dance between man and the hidden histories that lay beneath the surface. And so, let him who hath an ear, let him hear the tale of the River Dump, where the past and the present collide, and where the brave seek the treasures of yore, amidst the trials of fate.

My brother lives near Falls Creek PA. And people for years after the company closed doors would go out there and dig there dump looking for stuff with flaws that was thrown out in there dump. We’ve drive by it dozens of times when I’d go over to visit. He’d always tell me about there China! He has whole sets he bought over the years. Hey Chigg Dawn dish soap works great for removing grease from you and your clothes! But I suggest finding someone with garage shop rag washer for the first run cause you don’t want to use your washer at home! Leaves them a mess usually!! Great video!!
I have a spot on the river I hunt like that. They use to dump automotive crap in the river, It stinks to high hell when disturbed :( Not good for your health either. Thats why I where waders :)
I would believe if he got attacked by a family of beavers and one single octopus. I think what happened was he was snorkeling in a creek, found some good sounds and treasures, but he found himself in a massive beaver mansion. He started to escape, he would have got out without anyone know but the daughter beaver (mature age) was taking a bath while eating a clam, she seen him and thought he was there to harm them, so she screamed. The whole family of beavers came out with clam hammers and clam axes. They beat him pretty bad, but he escape, but before he was able to escape the father beaver got his pet octopus to ink/pee on his face and clothes. After he escaped, he found himself surrounded by skunks and one duck, the duck was a general commanding an army of skunks, those skunks had saved their "fluid" for so many months for this exact attack. He got sprayed by 12 1/2 (the ½ was a baby skunk) skunks that day. Moral of the story is, something happens to someone because of someone else doing something else.

WOW not what I was expecting. From the finds looks like it wasn't just a dump but maybe a wrecking yard as well. Hope there was a way to report the oil even if it was only a small amount as it continues to pollute
Question I’ve been subscribed for about 7 years at least ,I’ve never noticed what you wear on your feet when you do the creek or river hunts.i live up by the Philly airport in the suburbs and I’m going to start hunting the creeks in the area but unfortunately I know there is a ton of broken glass ..I figured boots would be to heavy once soaked ,but sneakers might not be enough protection from glass bottle bottom ,any recommendations?I respect your knowledge
Blue Dawn dish liquid works great getting oil and grease off. My grandfather always used it. You should put a bottle in your boat in case of emergency.
13:10 Dawn dishwashing detergent also works. I understand they use it to wash crude oil off of wildlife following spills. Never mind, it seems you did that!
Oh boy, I think I am losing it. What a mess. But at least I found some cool stuff! (quietly sobbing)
