Some pie fillings only have a single crust on top but no bottom or sides. Well, we’ve got these two delicious dishes fully covered for you to really appreciate.
    You can also serve and make either of these delicious fillings in a two-crusted layered dough (top and bottom crust) in your ramekin or pie pan. Just add a little more time to the AirFryer cooking process and you will surely get one delicious and flaky meat pie recipe.
    We even added a Wonderful and Delicious Sauce (Empanada) with roasted tomatoes and garlic that’s an amazing complement to dip these fabulous meat pies into. But they can easily stand on their own and eaten without the sauce.
    Our dough from scratch is simple and can be done well in advance. We cut the pies into 4 inch circles. Just use a jar lid or pizza cutter to get the results you want. It doesn’t have to be perfect.

    Tips
    All AirFryer cook times indicated in the video may vary based on the surface area of your AirFryer basket. Please see your AirFryer instructions for appropriate times.
    To make ahead of time, prepare the filling and store in the fridge in its own sealed container. Make and combine the pot pie with the dough right before baking.
    Refrigerate the filling in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Freeze for up to 2 months.
    Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days. Reheat in the AirFryer or Oven to retain the crispy pastry.
    Be sure to brush the edges of the pastry with an egg wash to keep the meat pie sealed as it cooks. I used a fork as the perfect tool for sealing the dough edges.
    Serving: 20-26 pieces in 4 inch meat pies.
    Tools: 6 quart AirFryer; stovetop for meat filling; blender or food processor to mix Empanada Sauce Ingredients.
