Thanks for the shoutout man. Glad you are enjoying it. You pointed out some of the same negatives that I did. Great vid. Keep Rocking those Watches Josh 🤘🏻
Awesome watch looks a lot more expensive than it is for sure. Matt is the man. Great video brother... Great to see the movement actually. Something that many don't do for a quartz.
It’s a great looking piece. Has been on my radar for awhile until Matt gifted me my Dan Henry. Need to get that reviewed as well. Didn’t realize reading the time was difficult. The date window is small. Mineral crystal is a negative you can see as you chipped it where a sapphire would’ve helped up.
😅 Yeah I was a little surprised when I looked down and saw the mineral crystal like that! I don’t even know what happened! Thanks for watching pal! Looking forward to your review of the Dan Henry! That’s a nice one!
I've been looking at this watch ever since I started watch collecting. It's a very nice piece, a bit overpriced though in my opinion. Great video Josh, how nice of Matt to send you this watch!
Very nice of Matt to gift to you, hes a amazing guy. Great video brother. I love the watch. Need a panda of some sort to add to my collection. Keep up great videos!
just fell in love with this watch again after changing the strap on mine - as i had a tan strap that didn't work for me (plus it tapered down at the buckle too much..)...just tried with a james bond nato and works great! my only gripe is that the hands are hard to see at times...
Congrats on the new watch. Matt seems like a great guy. I don't yet own a chronograph but I do like the look of this one. Would probably have to do something about that bracelet though.
@@TheTownWatch Also, just found out that the bracelets that Strapcode makes for the Mako II / Ray II are compatible with the New 70's ... I tried one of their bracelets for my Kamasu and I'm very happy with it, so once I receive my Neo 70 (yes, I could not resist it, it looks really nice) I will check it, and if I want to replace the bracelet, I'll probably try one by Strapcode
Nice review. The watch does look nice. I would not know for sure, but this movement is set up the same way as seiko’s VK75. It’s solar, and has the same sub dials. I had a Seiko Diver chronograph with the same layout. Also, its not mechaquartz. On a mechaquartz, the chrono hands snap back like on a mechanical chrono. On this, they reset slowly,, and clockwise, like a standard quartz.
Thank you for the review mate! I’m on the fence about buying it, especially since prices seem like they skyrocketed because of their popularity. Perhaps I might not buy this and buy something I like a bit more🤨
@@TheTownWatch anytime! Thank you for the lovely content! In Canada, these are selling around $400-$500 CAD...A bit unfortunate, given how as you mentioned, it’s not a sapphire crystal.

I agree with you it does look more expensive than it is and Matt is the man! 😅 Thanks for watching Chris!

Thanks Aviv! Appreciate you watching! You’re right, this is not the most affordable watch!
A racing strap would look really good on that thing.

Absolutely man!

I agree! The legibility is pretty bad with this watch. Thanks for watching!
Wow this is beautiful! I have the Orient Kamasu and might get this one as well. It's also 1/3 the price of the solar Seiko Speedtimers
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching! Hope you'll check out my full review video on it too!

Thanks for watching Ken! Yeah he really is!
I really like this watch! Very good looking!!!! It’s a keeper!!!!
Absolutely! A keeper for sure! Thanks Russel!
Movement is Orient branded version of Seiko V175 solar caliber. 1/5 sec chronograph.
🙏 Appreciate the information and thanks for watching!
I love mine. Not a fan of the bracelet but I goes great on lots of straps. Thanks for the vid!
Yeah I’m sure it looks great on a number of straps! Thanks for watching Bob! Hopefully yours isn’t as banged up as mine! 😅

Thanks for watching!
I need a chrono in my collection but struggle to make my damned mind up LOL!! nice review dude!!
Thanks for watching! So many great watches out there! ☺️
After seeing your review I believe I was pick one up.
How hard is it to get the white dial version. On discovery Japan only seems to have grey dial
I'm not sure. This was a gift from a friend. Thanks for watching.
Nice review. The watch does look nice.

Is this watch painfully slim? I’m thinking of fitting in a mechanical in this watch
It's slim but not painfully slim.
Can the AMPM subdial use as second time zone?
i don't believe so. Thanks for watching!
it have luminous ?
Yes it does. Thanks for watching!

@@dr.possible2399 Yeah, that seems steep! Hopefully you can get something you like with that money!
Hello do anyone know the new orient RA-TX0203S panda??!?☺️
The new Seiko Seiko ssc769p1 panda with sapphire crystal for under $250 us blows this watch away!
I’ll have to check that out!
Nice looking watch but I'm not sure I would pay $285 for this.
Thanks for watching!
Same steel bracelet on almost all orient watches are a big drawback ..
