Thank u for all of this valuable info! I’ve been searching your channel to find the video where you show now to convert a paper pattern to a pdf pattern on the iPad. Do you have a link?
That was really interesting but I would need a step by step approach to a lot of it. I keep my pdf downloads in my iPad but don’t know how to organise them so a lesson on that would be really helpful to start for me.
I’ve just received my new iPad Pro and can’t wait to start using it for my sewing. I store my sewing patterns in airtable but the free version is very limited to number of records so will check out Trello. Waiting for my Apple Pencil to arrive. Thank you for your suggestions and will have to check out your projectors series as well. X
So far, I have not seen a way to print layers. When I used to print layers, I just always printed them all. But with a projector, it makes it really tough to see what you are doing if they are all there.

I never thought about using my iPad Pro this way. Thank you. How much space does your iPad hold? With all that you have on it, does it slow the processing down?
I have 256, I store things on google drive and clean up files often. The program data like Trello and the patterns app take hardly any space with their databases.
I took pictures of the front, back, and sizing for all my paper patterns and added them. My program is Airtable, but the database is called Sewing Patterns. Do you know if Love Notions is going to automatically update the Boyfriend Cardigan for those of us that already purchased it? Thanks. Glad to see you're feeling better.
You can create a croquis by taking a photo of yourself and draw around the image, fill the shape with your skin colour, you can always leave your head visible to check hair colour against different fabrics. That way your arms and legs will be in proportion, more accurate than taking measurements.
I have tested the My Body Model concept and it is great if your body is fairly even. But some folks have uneven shoulders, one high hip or a tilted waist and the app doesn't seem to accommodate those variations as well. I think there is definitely a place in sewing for both choices. If you are choosing to do your own croquis with a photo, wear a dark colored leotard and hosiery if possible so that you can define your shape more easily and put 1" elastic around your waist. You may also want to mark your bust points with some white sticky dots. And don't forget to get a side photo in case you do have a tilted waist.
I should make more use of my iPad. Thanks for this.
Lots of good ideas. Thanks I only used my iPad to watch movies while I sew. Thanks again.

I love your cardigan, Kim!

Wow Kim, great video. I recommend the the SCHMETZ needle app for anyone who is confused about which needles go with what fabric.
Wonderful info. Sounds like fun and also practical. Thanks.
So glad you did this I was just thinking about this very subject
This is so helpful. And I'd love to know what kinds of books you listen to when you sew - I'm an avid audiobook listener too.
I need to start using Trello. I signed up a long time ago, but haven't used it. Love the idea of storing patterns on Google Drive. Thanks!

Hi Kim. Very good vlog thank you. When you print out on the iPad can you get layers, I only seem able to print all sizes?

I put my pattern instructions in the app goodnotes. Once they are in it, I don't need wifi to look at them.
Is your pencil an apple if not can u link it
It is the Apple Pencil. There is a link to it in the description.
