Great for small press jobs like bearings. Enjoy! Arbor Press www.harborfrei... Replacement Steel Lever Collar Climax Metal MC-22 Steel Set... www.amazon.com...
I wanted to get one for awhile. The Harbor Freight 1 ton model appeared to be better quality than the ones on Ebay and Amazon. I waited for the rare 25% off Harbor Freight coupon. Got to the store 5 minutes before they closed and they had 2 in stock.
Nice add to the shop brother! Seeing the MIP 3.0 reminds me that you need a special tool to add! Printing begins whenever I get my lazy ads out of bed tomorrow 😂😂 By the way, I talked to Mike Taylor a few times today… it’s on! Thanks for the nudge
Hell yea brother you got one ! N I love my arbor press !!! Great tool !! Best tool I bought!!! I even use it for bleeding my IRC shocks 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🔥🔥🔧👍🏼
Out of curiosity, is 1-Ton capacity sufficient for pressing automotive wheel studs into a hub? U-Joint caps into a yoke or driveshaft? Ball-Joint into a control arm? I've wanted a hydraulic press for a really long time, but the space required is tough to deal with... if this 1-Ton arbor press can do those basic jobs it would be big WINNER for me!
Yeah. Just like the 8 ton air powered long ram and the 20 ton air powered bottle jack. They seem to be getting rid of a lot of really useful items. Quickly becoming just another tool store with tools like everyone else has for about the same price. A lot of tools in HF aren't even a bargain anymore.
@@CrucialRC Wow! I really appreciate that. I found some specs, and mine is a 1/2 ton press. It is about 10.25 inches high and weight about 24 pounds. I bought it in 2011, $30. I have not used it very much. I used it to assemble wood pens. Thanks for the reply, cheers.
if you go to 8:27 of this video by Brothers Make (ruclips.net/video/WJnVAQqkdcQ/видео.htmlsi=osucCfitsaLibqia&t=507) will this arbor press do the same thing as this video linked above? in other words if I'm trying to put hdpe plastic into a mold and flatten it like these guys, will this arbor press apply enough pressure to flatten it in a mold?
I would say no because it's not hydraulic. It is only arm strength pressure so there would be no way to achieve a constant prolonged pressure with it like a hydraulic press would.
It's whatever you can pull down. Lol. The better the leverage the more pressure you can exert. I keep an old jack handle available to slip over the stock handle if I need more force.
I have been wanting to invest in one fo a bit now. Save me the frustration of pressing crank bearings in my vise.
Yeah it has been used many times already and I just got it. Definitely beats a vise or piece of wood and a hammer 😂
@@CrucialRC 💯 💯. Harbor freight is my favorite store 😂
The washer rectangle metal goes behind the 2 adjustable bolts . To keep from messing up the post.
Gotcha. Makes sense now BGM. Why they didn't send 2 of them tho?
One shim for each side. One for the front two screws and one for the side two screws.
Had that thing for about 2 years works amazing! Must have in the Rc life forsure!
You aint never lied there, Philthy Rc👍🏽

That piece of metal goes between ram and 2 front bolts so they don't wear groove in ram also will slide better.
Thank you
Perfect for rc like the size gona have to pick one up good look 😎
Glad I could help out John💪🏽👍🏽

Unfortunately, I think they are discontinuing this item in HF.
Yeah not sure why. It's a great tool. Glad I got mine in time.
Now back in stock. Just saw a new item ad for it.
Ok crucial you need to get the Metts mod bearing tool for one way bearings and other bearings.
Thanks Elite. How can I get one? Been looking all over for one
@@CrucialRC a lot of this rc shit comes out of st. Louis ill text you a link to his messenger

I haven't tried but there's definitely not enough leverage with this handle. Plus you would have to seriously bolt it down.
I’d think this could handle u joints, I’ve used small vises for u joints so I’d hope this would work for that
Yes I think it could handle ujoints
Seems to have disappeared from the Harbor Freight website.
Yeah I just checked and you right. That sucks

Agreed
Thanks for doing the video. I have one of these presses, but I think mine is a 1/2 ton. The ram on mine is 3/4 x 3/4 inch. Is yours 1 inch x 1 inch?
Thanks for watching. It's more like 7/8" x 7/8"
