The one who killed them with their own hand. The hand that opened was the same hand that was presented to her as empty at the beginning of the test but opened up to show a candy at the end. Beato- no, Yasu was the narrator. Why? Well, reflecting upon the whole story up until this point, it'd make sense to me if this was a story Yasu wrote while waiting for Battler to come back to Rokkenjima. It'd have truth and lies mixed in that were rumors passed around by the servants and small snips of conversations that Yasu overheard from the family members. The witches stuff comes from Maria and Yasu hanging out and Maria sharing her fascination of witches. The mystery stuff comes from her interest in mystery novels that only bloomed further thanks to Battler. She'd write this all down on her off time from her work to express her worries of Battler not returning as well as the state of the Ushiromiya family and its members. She'd make fake personas in the story of herself and make it a murder mystery to vent her frustrations on the characters constructed half by rumor, half by truth. She'd also make friends and enemies to have more companions as well as someone to blame for all the misfortune the family and servants bear. Then she'd write a happy ending hoping the member who rarely ever shows up would never have to face these horrid possibilities for her family and build a future of her own. So within the story-- this reality, it is in fact magic. N then in reality Battler and the rest come for a reunion and it'd turn out none were half the beasts the rumors made them out to be, and while there is some problems in with money it was not nearly as severe as it was played out in Yasu's book. People say this ending is like "Disney plot armor", but i don't see it as such. I think the ending is two sides to the same coin. Like, both happen together. *SPOILERS* In the magic ending, battler escapes but goes back with beatrice, signifying that he believes in magic, and that he (PROBABLY) died on the boat, or jumped off, Or that he wasn't himself anymore, like his body was simply a shell. In the trick ending, ange decides to skip going to rokkenjima. That way, no matter what, she can still keep hope. My theory is that battler escaped, he wasn't himself anymore, after the events of rokkenjima. Ange wanted HER battler back, not who she got, the shell of battler. So she investigated. when on the trip to rokkenjima, she realized it didn't matter what she found, cause she got her brother back. It may not have been the one she remembered, but it was still her brother. That's just my thoughts anyway.
Who's a good character and who's not is not your decision. I had Frederika Bernkastel as an avatar before. Does that change anything? No. So calm down and grow up before you try to flame me. Thank you. Have a nice day
Jo Thatch Hmm? That fight is in the story - it's just not in this video, that's all. If you search for "Featherine vs Lambdadelta", you'll find a video of that.
Harlequin No. In the visual novel featherine only wrote Lambdadelta's death and said that she would bother writing a fight scene when she felt like it. That's what he means, he wants to see the fight that happened between them
So,Bernkestel was the pet of Aurora? And I thought she's the strongest! What happened to Beatrice did she just fell for Battler? Bernkestel lost I wonder how Rika feels?
Bernkastel's screaming moments mad here sound a lot like Mine from Akame ga Kill. because they have the same actress. After hearing Christina Kelly, I can easily tell.
Frederica Bernkastel As much as I like you, it seems to be the destiny of a troll villain.Win 97% of the time, fuck up with everyone's life until the last minutes and then lose in the final battle because "main characters have to win", happens quite frequently(Seriously, to me this would have been a much more dramatic and powerful ending if Bern had won, rather than "Yay, I can revive everyone, main characters have to win, yaaay, let's go to candy golden land!"). But hey, at least you're still alive. Perfectly fine... Almost.
Lavender Ai Let's rewind the ending, shall we? somewhere...around... Aurora's Guards unleashing their attack at Battler... Thank you for the support. While I do not believe in miracles, the fact that Battler was revived was one unto itself. What is also a miracle, is that the possibility of my victory went above Zero, meaning it will happen.
They can. It even has been heavily implied that the witches were all acting at some point. In the end ''boredom is the only poison that kills a witch''.
So Umineko, Ange is more the protagonist than Battler like in Higurashi, Rika is actually the protagonist than Keiichi? Note: only watched Higurashi and Umineko anime. Just recently stumbled upon this rabbit hole.
Ange is like an outside observer of the Meta World who was promised a miracle by Bernkastel where her family will finally come home. Needless to say, the cruel witch simply wished to toy with her grief and tragedy. I highly recommend reading the Umineko VN or at the very least its manga adaptation (although you'll be spoiled with the solutions).
@@lambdadeltasfanclubmanager9078 I like to experience the VN if I possibly can. Tho I'm holding myself delving into the Higurashi/Umineko universe and series connected to it, but I do want to dive into them if only possible lol xP
@@saruwatarisa Well for one, you can buy the series (Umineko and Higurashi) on Steam. The only downside is to the Umineko Steam release is that there is no voice acting and the sprites used are Ryukishi07's original designs and the Pachinko ones (which are god-awful) instead of the glorious PS3 ones. I'm not saying that the story can't be enjoyed without these qualities but they significantly enhance the entire reading experience (for me at least). You could always try patching it with the PS3 sprites and voice acting though. 07th-mod.com/wiki/Umineko/Umineko-Part-1---Voice-and-Graphics-Patch/ Good luck and may you earn the favor of Rokkenjima's Golden Witch.
I really didn't finished this so can someone explain to me how a powerless humans like battler and ange defeated a being above multiversal level? and I've also seen battler and ange as one of the most powerful fictional characters, some even ranked them above bern and lamda. So can someone kindly explain how?
CEE JAY From what I understand, Battler in the beginning was defended by the Endless Nine, a resistance that absolutely blocks out all forms of magic. Also, he was the "protagonist" of the games (Its an in-universe thing, not just literally), so he couldn't be killed just like that. Come his fight against Erika, after got impaled, and he quickly understood the "game", becoming the Endless Sorcerer, which is why he could fight against Witches evenly. I'm not entirely sure about Ange, but its likely she had similar circumstances (Haven't read all of Umineko, so I'm not 100% sure.) As for power, Umineko is absurd. The whole of Umineko takes place in a Fragment, which is basically a massive multiverse with infinite dimensions. There are many many of these Fragments, and Umineko's one isn't that big in the first place. Its events are only able to fit into one book (probably a huge book, but only one nonetheless). Witches have the ability to freely traverse the Fragments as they please, putting them at Outerversal Level, due to them not being restricted by the Multiverse or dimensions as a whole. Keep in mind that this is only a minor witch, the small fries. Top dogs like Battler, Bernkastel, and Lambdadelta are way above them, putting them at High Outerversal, and Featherine Augustus Aurora makes them all look like children, so you can imagine her power. Even the Theory Goats are ridiculous, as their births collapse the Fragment they are from, and Battler killed 100 of them in one attack. Although Battler isn't (under most circumstances) above Bernkastel or Lambdadelta, seeing as Lambda herself said they wouldn't last even a few seconds, and Battler only got the upper hand with a sneak attack.
Battler was on the same level of Bernkastel due to them opening up the gameboard at the same time. Battler could've outright defeated Benrkastel with his Golden Truth, but he threw the fight so Ange could understand what he was trying to tell her. Once they were both game masters, Battler was amped to Bernkastel's level and stomped her with his superior fighting abilities. If he was serious, he could've one shotted Bernkastel with his Golden Truth just like Ange from the beginning. This is the strongest incarnation of Battler and the only one who can beat Bernkastel.
Don't take the fight scenes in Umineko too literally, this isn't a battle shonen. Witches are personifications of concepts and ideas. In this case, Bernkastel represents the cold, hard truth of the past that haunts Ange and prevents her from having a normal life. That's why she's also called a witch of the past and Battler says something like "I'll free Ange from the spell that you represent" (and why she only attacks Ange with truths instead of just throwing a universe at her). Ange defeated her by getting over her family's death and moving on with her life, that made her immune to the red truth because she already accepted the fact that everyone is objectively dead, but for her, they're still "alive" in her heart. The manga explains this part better than the novel, when Ange says: "I will create it within my own heart, a place they can all rest in peace" "You cannot break my heart with red now that it has overcome the truth". In other words, Ange is basically fighting against her depression in loli form.
There are at least two variations of this song if I remember correctly. The one playing at 34:22 is called "worldend(bp)". If you search for "worldend solo" on youtube, you'll get it.
Spoilers for Higurashi/Umineko: I believe Battler punching Bern represents Umineko as a whole rejecting the main theme of Higurashi. Higurashi is all about finding the truth no matter what whereas, by the end, Umineko is saying "is the truth even important?" That's why Battler got so angry when Bern insulted Lambda. If you know Lambda's role in Higurashi then it makes sense because thematically he's on her side, the "magic" side. This VN has so much depth it's crazy.
@@DeathLore I'm not too sure about that, Didn't Sotsu get lower ratings than the Umineko anime? And even if we are possibly getting an Umineko anime in the future, I would call that a miracle because at the moment Higurashi is getting more stuff

And now I take this comment as canon, I don't care what others think about it.
Loved this scene from the original! Though the CGs makes it even more epic!
People say this ending is like "Disney plot armor", but i don't see it as such. I think the ending is two sides to the same coin. Like, both happen together.
*SPOILERS*
In the magic ending, battler escapes but goes back with beatrice, signifying that he believes in magic, and that he (PROBABLY) died on the boat, or jumped off, Or that he wasn't himself anymore, like his body was simply a shell.
I didn't liked battler very much at the episodes 1-4 but since 5-8 i completely changed opinion, and that punch. That punch is just epic....
Still don't like him tbh
Call me crazy but Chiru made me go from being indifferent to him to disliking him
I loved Battler through and through. I just think he's a really good character. Plus, he undergoes one of the best character arcs I've ever seen.
@@lambdadelta6140 you also have a dumb my hero academia profile picture. Imagine actually liking good characters.
Who's a good character and who's not is not your decision.
I had Frederika Bernkastel as an avatar before. Does that change anything? No.
So calm down and grow up before you try to flame me. Thank you. Have a nice day
We still haven't seen how the the fight with Lamda and Auaurora took place.
They should release it as an extra story or something. :D
That's what he means, he wants to see the fight that happened between them
Ooo so he meant it like that. Thanks.
Should be Rika I guess? Higurashi is Rika's tale. Well unless Auau give K1 extra seat as main character as well.
Beato, beatoff, beato, beatoff, beato, beatoff xD
A monster, she says..... quite a compliment for one such as I *huhuhuhuhu*
Even Bernkastel is no match against power of anime bullshit. But that's expected
i just love 小野大浦‘s voice!!!!!!!!!!
3:50 battler en su forma Dios, golpeando una bruja de 1000 años en forma loli
Yo también esperaba uno de esos de Battler
When the Battler punched Bern, I was like, "Take that you fucking cat!". So epic with that CG and BGM.
So,Bernkestel was the pet of Aurora?
And I thought she's the strongest!
What happened to Beatrice did she just fell for Battler?

Why is she look so similar....
Wait a minute
*_Is that furude Rika ?_*
Yes, she is
She is and she isn't.
Yep
She's not Rika. She's a witch Frederica Bernkastel. Watch Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei anime episodes 2-4 to understand why.
She is the amalgamation of Rika's grief and despair manifested into one cruel being bent on tearing the guts out of stories.
38:30 name of the song pls?
Bernkastel's screaming moments mad here sound a lot like Mine from Akame ga Kill.
because they have the same actress. After hearing Christina Kelly, I can easily tell.
Ange's being meeeaaaan!!!!! D:
Rika shouldn't had been talking that shit.
What's the music at 16:07
It's called Spiral
Awww I wanted Bernkastel to win..
I wanted to win, too.
Almost.
Ragna The Doomed Edge Give me three hours and a fanfiction account, and I'll make my own ending.
Ready...Set..Go! We believe in you!
Anyone knows the song title from 50:09 onwards. I have been trying to find the track of it... can anyone tell me its track name or number.

Can someone please tell me the track/bgm playing at 21:30 ? I have been looking everywhere... it’s one of my favorite tracks.
a little late but it's called "goddess gardena" :)
Could featherine do anything against endless nine?
She is omnipotent for this pathetic ability
They can. It even has been heavily implied that the witches were all acting at some point. In the end ''boredom is the only poison that kills a witch''.
Think of it as Every witch are Saitamas

42;34 what this theme?
Bernkastel please stop screaming
Does anyone know which song plays at 35:36?
"The Sin"
I'm not entirely sure about Ange, but its likely she had similar circumstances (Haven't read all of Umineko, so I'm not 100% sure.)
As for power, Umineko is absurd.
Because he ate his vegetables
Honestly, don't believe what a small minority of fans are stating really lol.
What is the song at 34:22 ? its sound beautiful
There are at least two variations of this song if I remember correctly. The one playing at 34:22 is called "worldend(bp)". If you search for "worldend solo" on youtube, you'll get it.
Dang, there's probably no one here to answer this, but can I get a link to what ost where they defeat Bernkastel
Spoilers for Higurashi/Umineko:
I believe Battler punching Bern represents Umineko as a whole rejecting the main theme of Higurashi. Higurashi is all about finding the truth no matter what whereas, by the end, Umineko is saying "is the truth even important?"
That's why Battler got so angry when Bern insulted Lambda. If you know Lambda's role in Higurashi then it makes sense because thematically he's on her side, the "magic" side.
This VN has so much depth it's crazy.
tfw Deen fucked up Umineko's adaptation so bad that we won't have that epic showdown animated :[
Oh don’t worry after Sotsu we are getting Umineko again.
