One thing I didn't mention is that Sanhua can generate her forte circuit and gains some buffs after using her 5th basic attack, so she has some advantages to playing on-field even though I think her best role is a buffer!
Already set my eyes on her from day one but right now I don't see a future where I will ever level her. I have just now got 4 chars levelled and I need 5 more for the whale tower. I wouldn't waste months of resources on her when likely all other 5 stars will be better. Kind of sad though, one of the few things Genshin does better than this game. All chars are valid and buildable. Here there is too much work to just get one character up to speed.. Hopefully they can change that in the future.

She is great like Verina, all Sanhua does is, Intro, Ulti, ResoSkill, Forte, Outro. (You can slot in summon echo) Very fast, not even 3 seconds. Great for activating buffs or Intro for your main DPS. On top of it she easily deals about 20~30k damage just from the above. My Sanhua Echo is just whatever for now. Failed echo from Zhezhi, i gave it to her. Probably at echo level 15 or 20.
You should totally do this for each 4 star considering the majority of WuWa RUclipsrs are always talking about the new shiny 5 star. I'd love a dive into Chixia's potential or Danjin's smoothness of being both very proactive and reactive or how Yangyang just feels satisfying to pull off.
S6 Danjin deals more damage than any of the standard 5* characters, and has *almost* the same damage as some of the limited 5* characters. That's why many players call her the hidden 5* of the game

Okay..... So I main her and have always felt guilty about it. It's like....I got Jinhsi and Changli and even pulled for Jianxin because 5 stars are supposed to be so powerful. But I actually ENJOY clearing floors with Sanhua. Skill -> Burst -> HA -> enemy go bye-bye. Throw in Lampylumen for CC just for good measure. I happened to S6 her and she has my luckiest echo build. I guess it's just written in the stars.
With her S6 giving a whopping 100% critical damage on her forte... I think you're good to on-field her. She has some of the most insane sequence nodes I've seen and they genuinely just seem better than other characters.
I liked Sanhuas playstyle from day 7. Shes lvl. 80. And I will max her out one day. I just need a few more sequences,, two i think. With changli s outro she deals oubout 35 k with her burst. Its not bad.
I would only feel bad if I levelled a char I didn't have any use for or enjoyed. Like my Calcharo and Jianxin. Resources are too scarce to waste, you pick your team and stick with it and die with it. It's gonna take another 7 months at least before I can level a character just for fun as I rather want three good teams for the whale tower first. Normally I wouldn't pull for shorekeeper if going by looks but at least she isn't a loli so, she'll have to do. Not a fan of wedding dresses or overly cute characters.

She was my first sub DPs for a reason - super quick cicle, really good damage, and also really good on the overworld where stuff is not that based around rotations. She is currently my sub dps for chixia since i do not have changli, but i think she will get scary good the more basic attack 5 stars we get. She is also perfect for using to counter since the counter window is usually enough for her full rotation and also intro into skill into ult into detonate is just a wall of attacks that keep her really safe. The only "Downside" is her weapon sometimes being sword since in the beginning there where many good sword users so she always got the leftovers more or less.
True, but in the endgame spiral abyss equivalent, you can swap Weapons between Units if you so feel it necessary. So having the 1 copy is always good :D
Kuro always makes a character that would be 5 stars become 4 stars, it also happened in PGR with a Watanabe who would be S and became A, In both games I see that they kept the difference between 5 stars and 4 stars minimal, it's good that if you want to play with a 4 star you can.
In CN there's a saying that in PGR you play 5 stars for the numbers but 4 stars for the gameplay. Kuro doesn't want you to feel punished for playing 4 star characters so they usually give them more interesting mechanics. The upcoming Youhu will be a lot of fun.
A good tech to mention is that Sanhua's forte circuit attack has a lingering hitbox So she can activate her resonance skill after correctly timing her forte circuit, and it will still detonate the generated iceberg For maximum damage: intro skill -> resonance liberation -> forte circuit -> immediately use resonance skill This results in 1 forte circuit activation detonating 3 icebergs in about 2.5 seconds Insane burst damage

I play her as a main DPS and she clears the tower's central floors with more than half a minute left lol, I love her so much, she's been my main since day 1 and that won't change. Pulled Zhezhi to augment her damage further, now she does more rhan 300k damage every time she enters the field with the strongest singular hit being her Liberation doing 100k, her damage is also really good for a 4* character and shouldn't be overlooked! I just recently leveled her up to 90, and I have her wielding the 5 star standard banner sword that was originally reserved for Havoc Rover. I’ve always wanted to play her since I saw her trailer long before the game released, and now that she’s able to handle bosses by herself, she’s perfect.
Another beautiful thing about sanhua is that you can swap out when she’s doing the dash in order to save her concerto energy and set up your rotation properly
Im glad Im not the only one seeing sanhua as a 5 star. Her design is just to good, really felt like a secret agent assassin, add the grappling, its perfect.

When the game was about to come out i checked out the roster. After seeing her badass design i immediately set out to give the game a try solely to play Sanhua. Now a bit after the games release i am proud to say she has never left my team since day 1 and does fantastic damage as well. Love this girl. Also her menu pose where she is using her hand to force a smile is just so cute for this otherwise serious character.
She is the stamble in my jinshi lineup, because verina doesn't have variation so she is very clunky for me, so i swap her with sanhua and she speed up my rotation so hard, while also contribute a lot of forte stack with her not being spectro.
I've fallen in love with Sanhua's playstyle the first time I got her!! Unfortunately, I never got to raise her at first since I focused on the 5 stars. When I did, however, SAME! I regretted not building her sooner but I'm kinda glad I waited until S6 to do it. She makes rotations so much easier and she does slot in so many teams. Not to mention, those animations, man!! I currently run her with Encore in my third team. However, I'm a Changli main and there are other ways to play Changli, but rn I'm thinking about possibly switching my teams and running her with Sanhua and the Shorekeeper (when she comes out). I feel like Sanhua will bode well with the Shorekeeper's kit to maximize her buffs through intense quick swapping. Lol.
I got blessed with S6 Sanhua, Danjin and Taoqi. They make quite the crazy synergistic team with crazy fast concerto rotations and 100% uptime of the beefiest shield in the game
I noticed that you use liberation into skill when you should be doing skill into liberation for faster rotaions, since that way you cancel her long e dash back animation with your ult animation. And also you can hold her heavy attack while in liberation animation aswell for instant heavy attack after you finish casting your liberation.
I use liberation first because I prefer the energy regen on casting the resonance skill over the slightly faster rotation timing; it just means that Sanhua's ult is back up a bit sooner for the next one.
You can do intro > ult > burst > skill. The moment the pillars are being destroyed, you use the resonance skill, the skill will be destroyed anyway. Doing this not only is more smooth to see, but also helps with the skill's relatively long animation
@@saintontas Your method is preferable if you use the Critrate weapon but if you're using the ER weapon you'll have enough ER to not need to Ult before E.
@@Read_What Ye. If you're using the Overture weapon, you'll have enough concert energy to cancel the little backflip Sanhua do with the heron, if not, you can cancel the E with a jump if I remember correctly
Sanhua is the most pleasant and fun char to play for me, haven't subbed her off the team since I got her in the first week and use her as a main dps (although having Changli on the team made it harder to use her as a main dps).
Video idea: What IF scenarios were 4-Stars can become SS tier or a one-trick to something and be useful. 1. Aalto C6 IF we get a pistol banner that buffs heavy attacks. 2. Yuanwu C6 IF we get a gauntlet banner that turns def% into something else like crit or atk. Overall I think would be interesting to see theory craft videos

right now sanhua+verina+ any dps is the only team comp i enjoy playing with most of the time no errors in rotation specially in TOA. for solo team Danjin is my go-to. really enjoying this game a lot because of them. they're fun to play and also challenging to some extent.
Whenever I'm waveplateless I usually do an IR with her, I'm planning to build her after I'm done with Xianglee, she has captured my heart during the Moonlight chasing event. There's a rumour that she will get a free skin, more reasons to play her in my book.
Sanhua is also crazy good if you have Zhezhi, going with glacio "DPS" with her signature, which in totaly gives Zhezhi 74% Basic attack dmg while shes out and alot of her things is basic atack dmg, my Zhezhi already crits for 10 to 15k per basic attack and her E skill 30k+ mostly X)
My very first main, and I still have a huge crush on here XD. I don’t have Changli, but I have Genesis so I am definitely gonna use her with some more teams.
It’s crazy I had so much trouble getting through scar on TOA, but as soon as I dropped in a level 40 Sanhua on moonlit cloud, I 3 starred with time to spare.

I haven't used Sanhua from the start, but while I was rolling for Jinhsi I got her rc6 and some time later after some leveling I started using her, mostly with Encore though. Her concerto generation is truly amazing and buffs from outro, echo and rc combined are potent. Now I'm also using her in mono glacio with Zhezhi and rc6 Baizhi and it's a pretty solid team.
I incorporated Sanhua in my first ever team and still use her for ToA and hologram. She’s so fun to play and so gorgeous!!! One of my all time favourites ❤❤❤❤ I didn’t get lucky this patch and wasn’t granted any more copies of her 😭
Zhezhi also has most of her damages counting as Basic Attack damage. Sanhua keeps shining bright! Also her drip and moveset are amongst the coolest in the whole game. I'll die on that hill.
The credit (or whatever the coin currency is called) bottleneck made me ignore this character. I will keep her in mind in the future though. Hard though when its this early in the game and so many things are competing for whatever you can scrape together.

Maybe, like in other gacha games, I can imagine that one day there will be an alter version of Sanhua. I'm just thinking. There are many games in which a character appears 2 or more times, with different looks and more power, so I think Wuthering Waves is no different. Example. There is such a game. (Counterside) Which includes a character that has a 4* and a 5* alternative, and a 6* variant in which the three characters play almost completely different roles. Another gacha game. There are also things that have similar elements. (Nikke) Sometimes a character has two or even three variants. Such as the summer variants. SR characters sometimes get an SSR variant during such an event. Etc. Since some of Sanhua's battle animations remind me of a different game, I think Sanhua needs more power... 😏
I agree with most of your analysis, but not with her having a high skill ceiling. You can pretty much just intro -> skill -> ult back to back and instantly detonate everything by starting to hold her heavy during the intro, and releasing during the ult animation. You then simply swap cancel the heavy, do the support rotation, and come back before going to the main DPS to proc her Echo and Outro. This way she's completely skill-proof with no risk of interuption at all The only flaw of that attack sequence is that you'll be a little bit short on forte if you dont directly connect with some attacks, but this issue is completely solved if you use the Concerto sword, or if you have her S5, which somewhat increases her concerto regen. If you have her S2, she even gains superarmor on top, which lets you fill in with extra attacks completely safely if need be
I simply liked her role in the story so I blindly maxed all stats out without a second thought lol. I know I'm not supposed to, but I tend to treat her more as a DPS character since in my case, she regens her ULT awfully fast and it's normally around 50k damage with good crit rate. The buffs just happened to be a cool side effect🙃

VINDICATION FOR THE SANHUA MAINS! ..... Not to mention even with one of the most garbage 4-cost in the game, playing Sanhua as a main/subdps actually still SHREDS. I love her to death.
Verine + Sanhua + Zhezhi is completely busted. I have like the worst echo set on Zhezhi with no attack percentage and no crit rolls AT ALL and yet I easily 11/12 star’d one of the towers. It’s actually such a fun team I love playing it!
The real issue is the assumption that less rare characters should be bad. what wuwa has done so well is not making all the 4 stars completely unusable.
I built her even with separate main dps echo, but the game decides to give me other 4 stars instead. Till now my sanhua is still s2 while the rest are s6. I do use the other 4 stars but for buffs only
my one & only ice queen, fav character since beta. no other character give's me the same satisfaction (got all limited 5 stars). my hope/dream is she get a 2nd awakening & will be able to do an AOE freeze similar to "Haicma" from PGR than Shatter them :3 PLZ KURO THEN MY SOUL IS YOURS!

I got blessed with S6 Sanhua, Danjin and Taoqi. They make quite the crazy synergistic team with crazy fast concerto rotations and 100% uptime of the beefiest shield in the game
I noticed that you use liberation into skill when you should be doing skill into liberation for faster rotaions, since that way you cancel her long e dash back animation with your ult animation. And also you can hold her heavy attack while in liberation animation aswell for instant heavy attack after you finish casting your liberation.
I use liberation first because I prefer the energy regen on casting the resonance skill over the slightly faster rotation timing; it just means that Sanhua's ult is back up a bit sooner for the next one.
You can do intro > ult > burst > skill. The moment the pillars are being destroyed, you use the resonance skill, the skill will be destroyed anyway. Doing this not only is more smooth to see, but also helps with the skill's relatively long animation
@@saintontas Your method is preferable if you use the Critrate weapon but if you're using the ER weapon you'll have enough ER to not need to Ult before E.
@@wildcrown340 Can you use heron echo to cancel the E animation? If so I'll use your method instead.
@@Read_What Ye. If you're using the Overture weapon, you'll have enough concert energy to cancel the little backflip Sanhua do with the heron, if not, you can cancel the E with a jump if I remember correctly
Sanhua is the most pleasant and fun char to play for me, haven't subbed her off the team since I got her in the first week and use her as a main dps (although having Changli on the team made it harder to use her as a main dps).
Video idea: What IF scenarios were 4-Stars can become SS tier or a one-trick to something and be useful.
1. Aalto C6 IF we get a pistol banner that buffs heavy attacks.
2. Yuanwu C6 IF we get a gauntlet banner that turns def% into something else like crit or atk.
Overall I think would be interesting to see theory craft videos

You forgot to mention how Impermanence Heron could also give some attk boost after casting the Echo, so that's 3 BA boost in one unit
right now sanhua+verina+ any dps is the only team comp i enjoy playing with most of the time no errors in rotation specially in TOA.
for solo team Danjin is my go-to. really enjoying this game a lot because of them. they're fun to play and also challenging to some extent.
Whenever I'm waveplateless I usually do an IR with her, I'm planning to build her after I'm done with Xianglee, she has captured my heart during the Moonlight chasing event. There's a rumour that she will get a free skin, more reasons to play her in my book.
Sanhua is also crazy good if you have Zhezhi, going with glacio "DPS" with her signature, which in totaly gives Zhezhi 74% Basic attack dmg while shes out and alot of her things is basic atack dmg, my Zhezhi already crits for 10 to 15k per basic attack and her E skill 30k+ mostly X)
My very first main, and I still have a huge crush on here XD. I don’t have Changli, but I have Genesis so I am definitely gonna use her with some more teams.

It’s crazy I had so much trouble getting through scar on TOA, but as soon as I dropped in a level 40 Sanhua on moonlit cloud, I 3 starred with time to spare.

She and chixia is the reason I pulled on zhezhi banner. Instead I got s6 baizhi and s1 calc.

My favorite Illusive Realm character, I get to enjoy only her for a long time
I haven't used Sanhua from the start, but while I was rolling for Jinhsi I got her rc6 and some time later after some leveling I started using her, mostly with Encore though. Her concerto generation is truly amazing and buffs from outro, echo and rc combined are potent. Now I'm also using her in mono glacio with Zhezhi and rc6 Baizhi and it's a pretty solid team.
With Baizhi's Glacio buff at later nodes I can see how that team could be powerful!

The credit (or whatever the coin currency is called) bottleneck made me ignore this character. I will keep her in mind in the future though. Hard though when its this early in the game and so many things are competing for whatever you can scrape together.

They generate concerto so fast that I can constantly swap into yuanwu and absolutely delete vibration meters.

Maybe, like in other gacha games, I can imagine that one day there will be an alter version of Sanhua. I'm just thinking. There are many games in which a character appears 2 or more times, with different looks and more power, so I think Wuthering Waves is no different. Example. There is such a game. (Counterside) Which includes a character that has a 4* and a 5* alternative, and a 6* variant in which the three characters play almost completely different roles. Another gacha game. There are also things that have similar elements. (Nikke) Sometimes a character has two or even three variants. Such as the summer variants. SR characters sometimes get an SSR variant during such an event. Etc.
Since some of Sanhua's battle animations remind me of a different game, I think Sanhua needs more power... 😏

I agree with most of your analysis, but not with her having a high skill ceiling. You can pretty much just intro -> skill -> ult back to back and instantly detonate everything by starting to hold her heavy during the intro, and releasing during the ult animation. You then simply swap cancel the heavy, do the support rotation, and come back before going to the main DPS to proc her Echo and Outro. This way she's completely skill-proof with no risk of interuption at all
The only flaw of that attack sequence is that you'll be a little bit short on forte if you dont directly connect with some attacks, but this issue is completely solved if you use the Concerto sword, or if you have her S5, which somewhat increases her concerto regen. If you have her S2, she even gains superarmor on top, which lets you fill in with extra attacks completely safely if need be
I build Sanhua because she's my wife, you build her because she's a staple in your teams, we are NOT the same you casuals.
60 pulls into Zhezhi, no Zhezi but maxed out Sanhua and Baizhi. Had to stop because need the guaranteed for Shorekeeper but definitely a big W.
I simply liked her role in the story so I blindly maxed all stats out without a second thought lol. I know I'm not supposed to, but I tend to treat her more as a DPS character since in my case, she regens her ULT awfully fast and it's normally around 50k damage with good crit rate. The buffs just happened to be a cool side effect🙃

I wonder if you plan on covering Mortfei and his future potential. I think it could be really fasinating discussing certain characters and their potential for future characters or how overlapping kits might help or improve them.
I think Mortefi is a super interesting character that's worth exploring. It's a shame there aren't more heavy attack focused characters.

With Sanhua you can freaking dance with the enemies. IDK how I misheard her liberation line which is "Like frigid depth" I heard her say, "Let's freaking dance"💃 💃 💃
Shanhua is amazing, damage, utility, rotation time, energy , she has no flaws. Skill issues can be fixed by playing more, thank you for this video, more players need to know about our glorious Glacio queen!

Verine + Sanhua + Zhezhi is completely busted. I have like the worst echo set on Zhezhi with no attack percentage and no crit rolls AT ALL and yet I easily 11/12 star’d one of the towers. It’s actually such a fun team I love playing it!
The real issue is the assumption that less rare characters should be bad. what wuwa has done so well is not making all the 4 stars completely unusable.

I built her even with separate main dps echo, but the game decides to give me other 4 stars instead. Till now my sanhua is still s2 while the rest are s6. I do use the other 4 stars but for buffs only

no one talks about yang yang even thought he forte generation is just as good as sanhua, and she even generates energy for the selected resonator, the only thing sanhua is superior at is her basic attack dmg buff which only benefits encore
