hii jake do u remember me? i was the 13yr old whom u talked to at the a1 premiere who had a passion on tech. u have hearted many of my comments. if u remember me i will be so happy or ok lets be new friends.
This is incredibly helpful. Looking to add just a little bit more weight to the overall rig. My option right now is Titla Advanced cage and the 28-135 PZ lens.
I’m really you did not automatically go for V Locks, you showed the standard batteries also. Many RUclipsrs go straight for V Locks (for looks) without mentioning the substantial cost of the batteries and the additional V lock chargers.
Make a video on upgrading the Tilta Float lol.....I'm having a hell of a time getting it to be stedicam reliable (as in it not hitting other things on the rig while operating)
I see the portkeys offers camera control features but I cannot find any video showcasing this. Do you know what can be done with this monitor and the Fx6? Thanks !
Hi, I really enjoy your videos, thanks for all the info. I am really struggling to find an FX6 here in France. I wonder how availability is in the UK? Also when I do get one I will contact you regarding the DJI Ronin set up. Thanks again.
question, so it looks like right now the FX6 is about $6,000. can you tell me about the estimate cost of the other needed gear - mics, mounts, lenses that one would need to buy in addition to operate this camera? not the extra things, but just the other things that is necessary. would it be an additional $3K - $5K? Thanks
Can you clear up why the Shinobi SDI was taken off the market? There is no mention anywhere about if it's just temporarily gone or if it will be replaced or why.
@@juranicolas7129 I’m still shooting with an FS700R with a Shogun, Atomos has moved those into “Legacy” products. I think all R&D has gone into the Ninja as it now offers all possible options, plus ProRes RAW via the newest firmware. I hope that helps.
If only it was possible to buy this cam...! out of sale since january in france, preorders only, and big french camera sellers told me sellers from january are still waiting for their FX6. this would be due to two japanese factories who were destroyed, by fire i believe (not sure).
@@CVPTV well I'm looking to sync timecode ideally wirelessly but i sank money into the mixer and the only way I've found was the tenticle sync e. is there another way you've heard of? and if thats a bust i guess just how would ya'll set up the fX6 to work with a mix pre 6
Thank you for this and many other reviews. I'm actually looking at shooting a Pilot with the camera but have never used it. I have a Ronin RS2 and would love to know how you would rig it. I was thinking of purchasing the "Tilta Advanced Ring Grip for DJI RS 2 Gimbal" for more rigging options and control. I will be having a first AC so I will need wireless follow focus for this rig. What are your thoughts?
@@CVPTV I’m looking for documentary cinematic camera. Why do you think FX6 is better choice over eva1? I know it has bigger full frame sensor anything else
What lens have you got on the FX6 there when it's on the RS2? Is it the 18-105 lens (so it doesn't change length at different zoom lengths)? If so, whats the autofocus like on that (since it's a slightly older lens)?
Funny enough, that wasn't the question... I'm after a budget lens to use on a gimbal on a Sony mirrorless B camera, so was interested to know whether that particular lens is any good with its autofocus.
@@videoeditorbloke oh my bad I thought you had the fx6 yourself. Jeah its really good, af also and the fact that it doesnt extend is a really good thing for a gimbal
@@user-dh5fp4gw1b Thanks for the info... I've actually had an FX6 on backorder from CVP for a few months now (massively delayed by global shortage), and intend to use more expensive lenses on that - that's why I'm looking at a budget lens for my other camera at the moment!
@@videoeditorbloke nice dude! Whats your b cam? Ive heard that lens was the best allround lens for everything basically, i myself have the tamron 28-75 also REALLY good
HA ha- by the time you add all that stuff you will have spent the cost of the camera again and missed the shot. And it will weigh more than my 10 year old PDW 800 XD Cam
Thanks for the well put together video guys! I'm eying the FX6 at the moment for documentary work.
I would really love to see how you rigged out the FX6 with the DJI RS2!
I really miss REMOTE TOUCH FOCUS OPERATION via Content Browse Monitor (the Sony App!) we NEED this function guys!!
FX6 state of the union
Useful on fx6.
Thanks for the vids. Been giving you lads a fair bitta business since buying my fx6 and gear 🤣

Jake you are looking fantastic recently! Also great video as always going through a lot of detailed options, keep it up!

Hi, Is there a FX 6 setup video for beginners that you recommend?
it looked like those shotgun mics were still wobbling a heck of a lot, even with the spacers :/

There's a graphic where I mention it saying that it's been discontinued now :( sorry Jake

Awesome video! What is the rubber spacer that you used to fit the Rode videomic NTG into the shotgun microphone holder?
Many thanks!
we want FX6 ver 2 in one piece camcorder style
Can we get a C70 version of this video!?
Absolutely, it's next on our list! Jake
Can someone finally do one of these videos for the URSA Mini Pro G2? I'm at my wit's end trying to work around the EVF!
Hey Eddy, I will add it to the list of cameras we have for the Upgrade series! Jake
@@CVPTV Sounds like you got some on there. Would love to see something about the BMD 6k Pro, especially with the sometimes weird formfactor

which EVF would you recommend?
What accessories do you support for the A7s3. If I want to use the cameras too end recording capabilities.

FX9? :)
Are there any audio input adapter options if you remove the top handle? 9
No there is not. Jake
When I dont have the top handle on mine, my fx6 still records audio
It has scratch audio, but you cannot plug a audio source with the handle off. Jake
Is the the Panasonic AU EVA1 better than FX6?
I would suggest the FX6 over the EVA-1 for most people if you can get hold of one! Jake

How to upgrade the FX6: Step 1: Get any other camera, done.
Intriguing take given its back ordered everywhere and probably the most talked about and highly demanded camera we sell currently!
