That's a fantastic job on building a installing that door. People doesn't understand the skills and the time it takes to do such a fantastic door for the right price. 👍👍👍
Really pretty set of doors, great work. I'll have to remember this if I ever get around to building my own. I'd want to laminate a foam core for a bit of insulation, but that veneer design is awesome
Dear Sir , I have came across your web pages today and your Joinery skills are second to none , I am looking forward to see more of your Brilliant works Thank you for sharing your Expertise , your piece de resistance was for me the veneer pattern for the front door . Cheers from down under
At first I thought - considering the amount of work - that I would order this door just out of solid timber and how stupid it would be to veneer such a piece. But at the end with the black handles I realised that I am the stupid one. What a well thought of beauty of a door. Well done! And thank you for showing! Regards, Etna.
So Glad to see you back (as we say in the States) Brother! If you continue to do trim and speciality pieces you will never be out of work! Just a talented Carpenter! God Bless!
Thank you for sharing your process in such detail! I'm veneering with walnut on an oak stave door blank very soon. It's also an exterior door. I'm curious why you used PVA cold press glue instead of epoxy.
Wicket shop work, superb detail. By the way, to an old man . . . in regards to the table saw . . . "I know what I'm doing" . . . famous last words. Cheers.
Joey, I think you have out done yourself this time! Don’t tell me the “crazy spiral staircase “is going to be better than this. Good to see your joiner is back working to. Thanks from Adelaide.
I've been excited to see these since hearing about them on Shopstool. Brilliant as the doors are my favourite part was the 2-sided finishing jig... that was super cool and practical. Top stuff. I don't watch a lot of 'professional' makers because skills like those on display here remind me of what hacks most of us really are 😁
I like at the very end where the guy points at a hole in the non-fixtured door and you point at the vertical bar on the completed door. I could hear that whole conversation play out in my head.
Great vid Mr.J looking forward to your stairs having done a couple of helical stairs all I can say is you will finish ( a lot longer than you guessed) and don't forget to breath lol! Btw my brother is a painter and a good tip I got from him while needing lots of tape was to tear off ten or fifteen pcs and just tab em onto your shirt works a charm and doest leave that funky taste in your mouth.
The stair frame in the background brought back some good and bad memories of making up stringers for the treads/risers..... fifty odd years ago now.....
What a treat, thanks Joey. The thought, (plus blood, sweat and ?tears) has produced a magnificent looking set of entry doors and the video is one of your best with a smorgasbord of ideas and tips. Cheers, David
Hy Joey, how often do you use your miter saw? As I see the quality level of your machines, maybe 'Graule' might be an interesting manufacturer to check out! They can also be upgraded to a cnc miter saw. It brings your miter cuts from the level of a job site miter saw to that of a real stationary miter saw.
Outstanding craftsmanship as always! Great video and dialog explaining your process. I always pick up a few tips, not that I can accomplish them but good to know. :^). Thanks for posting
symmetrical front door leaves look good, but are not good to use because the main leaf must be at least 80 cm wide. This is a fact known to all manufacturers.
This is so much more than a door. You've created a piece of art that will be a focal point of the house for the next 100 years.
It’s wonderful to watch a master tradesman at his craft. That door is a piece of usable art built to enjoy for many years.
Nice work. The chevron pattern on the door is brilliant and looks great.

Great t see you back in the shop mate. Awesome door too
Good grief, Joey! That door is off the charts beautiful! Great work, dude!
Nick work Joey. That chevron pattern was a real time intensive element of the project. In the end end, it was well worth it. Beautiful!
Thanks Guy, was all a bit nerve wracking until it came out of the vac bag.
This door turned out great! Nice work! Congrats!

Nice clean look and still looks special.
That is gorgeous Joey! Thank you for sharing your talents in design and execution!
Excelentes profesionales , excelente trabajo
I love how you used bookmatched pieces where the doors meet in the middle. nice touch.

Beautiful work Joey
It's always a pleasure watching you create Joey. Beautiful doors!
Great work, looks really nice. I appreciated the tip on hand rubbing the finish and the bit of hardware in the bottom of the door is so cool.
Yes exactly; The hardware in the bottom of the door is so cool. Any idea what's its called?

Beautiful doors Joey. Did you think about using Schloss type hidden hinges?
Awesome work. Thanks for sharing this.
Did you purchase the black handle online? I am looking for a similar handle for a door that I am building. Thanks
Hi Joel, was wondering where you bought the vacuum press bag from?
Welcome back Joey - beautiful doors! "not caressing the plastic bag," - right! :)
Those are spectacular! I wouldn't expect anything less 😉 Glad to see you're hard at work despite the Corona virus.
