I had the problem where the top thread was not fully wrapped round the bobbin to pull the bobbin thread back up.. Please look at Ralphs instructions on his posting Shuttle and Needle timing Toyota FSG235. I don't thing it matters if it is not a Toyota as long as the mechanics are similar as they were with my machine. He is signed in as 'lotathings'. You may have given up by now?
You had a problem where the upper thread was not pulled far enough around the bobbin case to pick up the bobbin thread. This may be fixed by altering where the needle lies when the hook passes it by loosening and manipulating the metal rod that holds the needle (don't know technical terms). This did not fix the problem for me and the video I suggested shows how to 'move' the casing that holds the bobbin and hook by loosening a nut inside the bottom of the machine, manually moving the housing. I have had to do it a couple of times (once a year) now as I think my (old) machine parts are wearing out and need a tweak every now and again. Try it?
moving the casing sounds extreme. my machine is perhaps 10 years old, but has not been used more than 2 times - actually we were trying to learn to use it trying to mend a pair of jeans when the needle broke a couple of times.
I have the same problem with my sewing machine. Please share how I can loosen the bevel gear and reset it. I unscrewed the little screw but it's not loosening. Thanks!
@@helenlee3643 There are usually two screws, rarely even three. Continue rotating the bevel gear and you'll see them. Look for a video on hook timing a Brother.
@@anilphilip546 most if the time, needle bar adjustments fix it. I have one that didn't work on. I was looking for videos when I found yours. Find the sewing machine repair guy. I fix vintage machines. He is my go to on videos for help. You have to catch that sweet spot. If you don't catch it, nothing changes. I think mine not catching is in the tension dial. I think ot needs replaced. My first things to check. Is it threaded right? Bobbin tension, is it right? Then top tension.( I did adjust top tension on the one I am working on, i think the knob is to lose and slips out of tension) then I go to the timing of the needle bar( I bet high money that is what's causing yours.) I have only 1 machine( the one I am fixing) that adjusting the needle bar didn't fix it.
@@anilphilip546 your timing is right. It caughtht the thread. If it is a new needle it could be wrong needle for the material. Being a plastic machine, I would chunk it. You may have a broken plastic gear.
@@anilphilip546 You have to disassemble the sewing machine. You must first remove the front plastic side. Then you have to remove the back plastic side. Find two gears on the back of the shuttle. Can you make a video of how gears work?
Hard to see when you have the name of the machine on top the whole time you are recording
How can we seen anything with that damn watermark dead center of the video!🤬🤬🤬

@@dvivian8009 how do I do this?
No, NOT those two screws!! It's underneath inside a bevel gear that needs to be loosened and reset properly.
