Over the last year I've been shaping and influencing the musical palette of my 15 year old son. Today he tells me to do myself a favor and give Skinshape a listen. He's on the right path.

Parents are supposed to shape their kids - and if the kid now has a love of music, which is a blessing a parent can share with a child, then the kid will end up exploring different sounds in his own time. He's 15. Dad is bonding with kid over cool music, which is normal. Its not like we are talking about intense life choices like a career or personality development, or lifestyle options like marriage or societal contribution - its just musical taste... how does one "make mistakes" when exploring preferences, or really doing ANYTHING as they grow in life? That is so odd you would apply that criticism to this sweet father-son bonding moment, you weirdo.
This is brilliant for those long chill nights during the weekend while everyone is asleep, and, out of the sudden, you have inspiration to create, or motivation to do some random things. Have a great session.

I've never heard of Skinshape before. Saw this album suggested over on the side while listening to the Breeders' "Pod," thought the name and cover were intriguing and gave it a click. This is intoxicating music. I've found my newest musical rabbit hole.

I can't understand why this amazing man isn't as big as he deserves... A lot of hmmm, not good music out there is the proof that people are crazy about their musical taste, but well, there are genres for each and every one of us.
It all has to do with marketing. When the majority of people have crap music shoved down their throats it's almost impossible to find and appreciate music like this. It's very unfortunate

I love the mixing of old sounds with new. The mixing of surf guitar effects with dub bass lines. The low-fi feel and the production.
