After 3.5 years of playing it took this one beautiful, summarizing lesson to finally get it. The way Mike is explaining the swing, it just makes sense. While I’ve seen so many videos about each aspect of the swing from rotation, shallowing the club (steeper to flatter in Mike’s terms), bowing of the wrist to square the club face and the circular motion of the swing, its really Mike’s way of putting it together that solidifies it. He explains why each result is a product of the components mentioned above. Thanks for sharing!
I think that this is your turning point! Almost saw a light bulb materialize over your head when hitting those shots. 😅. It has taken me 3.5 years of self learning to get to this point and you are getting this info within 2 months of starting, all due to great instruction. Thanks to you and all of your coaches! I’m following eagerly right there with you dude!

Way back in the early 1980's Mike was my college(UCSD) golf coach/teacher/mentor and during that time I learned so much from him. With his instruction I was able to go from barely breaking 80 to shooting par or better on a fairly regular basis. His knowledge of the golf swing and how to excel at the game is a result of thousands of hours of practice, study, and playing. Mike has a passion for golf and helping his students to get better and increase their enjoyment of this wonderful game.

Hands down one of the best explanations of educated hands/wrist conditions from TGM..what makes it so good is Mike explains the necessary body rotation needed in conjunction with the hand/wrists and then gives “faults&fixes”. This is one of the best instruction videos I have watched. That exercise which bow's the wrist first is the best advice I've ever seen. Most instructors only tell you to keep the wrist bowed at impact but never have an exercise for it. My handicap has plateaued at 10 for years and being a 69 year old golfer, I don't expect it to get any better but this will help me to improve my distance. Keep up the good work Jerome.

My chipping, pitching and bunker play have also improved as a result of Mike's teaching. I live in Adelaide Australia and LIV Golf was here recently. Mike is a great instructor - you definitely made a good decision in him. However, it's worth noting one thing about what he says for you to do, and what he does in his own swing. While he's telling you to get ahead with your body and hands, where your right foot comes up pretty early in your forward motion, he always keeps his right heel down through impact. It makes a huge difference in the hip movement. You should ask him about that. Thanks for sharing!

The stuff Mike is teaching is how to get to scratch. Obviously you want to go back to your old grip and swing that you had a little bit of success with but ultimately you will plateau at something like a 10 handicap with those short cuts and bandaid swings. Applying what Mike is showing is how you get a swing consistent enough to get to scratch.
