For me the lesson is: you have to have something meaningful and exciting ahead of you in order to start moving
How true 👌👍🏻
You have very right. Without meanungsful vision there is no moving on...
We can agree to disagree. A goal is better. But let not "having no goal" be an excuse to be lazy. A step towards no goal is a step to nowhere but it's a good start to making a journey of one step or a thousand miles.
One needs to find his "ikigai" - a reason for waking up everyday
@@arlenecimafranca3222Well said, Arlene. Various Disciplines have their variations of "takes" on goals or ikigais, for simplicity's sake. E.g.. A Christian would claim, "God knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb." (Jeremiah 1:5). Another example is Dr. Chopra: "Grass doesn't try to grow. It just grows." I'm just grateful for the experience of being able to watch the same video. The words convey different meaning to the "consciousness behind the eyeballs."

🔥THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age in which God is saving man from the imminent destruction of this old world"
(God incarnate is called Christ, and Christ is the human body clothed by the Spirit of God. He is the incarnation of the Spirit. He has both normal humanity and full divinity. Whether human or it is His divinity, both of them submit to the will of the Father in heaven. The Spirit is the spirit of Christ, which means the divinity. This is what all people must understand. The spirit of the work of the Holy Spirit is to save man, and for the sake of God's own rule. Since God became flesh, He realizes His spirit within His human body, that His human body is sufficient to carry out His work. Whether it is the Spirit of God or whether it is Christ, both are God Himself, and He does the work He should do and fulfills the ministry He should perform.)
Almighty God said
GOD incarnate is called CHRIST, and CHRIST is the flesh clothed by the SPIRIT of GOD. 🙏
This human body is not like any human being in the flesh. This difference is because CHRIST is NOT made of FLESH and BLOOD; He is the incarnation of the SPIRIT. He has BOTH NORMAL HUMANITY and FULL DIVINITY. 🙏
No man possesses His divinity. His normal humanity sustains all His normal activities in the human body, while His divinity accomplishes the work of God Himself. Whether it is His humanity or His divinity, they both submit to the will of the Father in heaven. The SPIRIT is the SPIRIT of CHRIST, meaning the GOD HEAD. Therefore, His SPIRIT is GOD HIMSELF; this SPIRIT will not INTERFERE with His OWN WORK, and He cannot possibly do anything that would destroy His own work, nor will He utter any words that are contrary to His own will. ☀️
Therefore, God incarnate will absolutely never do any work that interferes with His own governance. This is what all people should understand. The INTENT of the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT is to SAVE MAN, and for the SAKE of GOD'S OWN RULE. ☀️
Similarly, the work of CHRIST is also to SAVE MAN, and it is for the WILL of GOD. Since GOD HAS BEEN INCARNATED, He REALIZES His SPIRIT within His HUMAN BODY, that His HUMAN BODY is SUFFICIENT to CARRY OUT His WORK. 🙏 Therefore, ALL the WORKS of the SPIRIT of GOD were REPLACED by the WORKS of CHRIST during the INCARNATION, and at the CORE of all the WORKS during the ENTIRE INCARNATION was the WORKS of CHRIST. ☀️
It CANNOT be MIXED with WORK from ANY OTHER ERA. And SINCE GOD BECOMES FLESH, He WORKS in the IDENTITY of His FLESH; since He COMES in the HUMAN BODY, He thus FINISHES in the HUMAN BODY the WORK He has to DO. ☀️
Whether it is the SPIRIT of GOD or CHRIST, both of them are GOD HIMSELF, and He DOES the WORK that He should DO and PERFORMS the MINISTRY that He should PERFORM. 🙏

Success is dependent on the action or steps you take to achieve it. Show me a man who doesn't have an investment and I will tell you how soon he'll go broke. Investment is building a safe haven for the future: with the right choices of investment that has minimum risk and with an Expert guidance, profit and interest should be guaranteed.
Exactly ! That's my major concern and what kind of profitable business or investment can someone do with the current rise in economic downturn.
I have been investing in stocks for over 10 years now and I have made a lot of money. My portfolio has grown exponentially and I can't thank stocks and Laurel Dell Sroufe enough for such an amazing way to make money.
@@TomD226 Please how can i find the lady you mentioned?
@lowcostfresh2266 Cant divulge much, her name is Laurel Dell Sroufe, most likely, the internet is where to find her basic info, kindly research.

you've remind me of what someone once said "The mind is the man, the poor is in it and the rich is it too". This sentence is the secret of most successful investors. I once attended similar and ever since then been waxing strong financially, and i most tell you the truth..investment is the key that can secure your family future.
Starting early is the best way of getting ahead to build wealth, investing remains a priority. I learnt from my last year's experience, i am able to build a suitable life because I invested early ahead this time
yeah investment is the key to sustaining your financial longevity but venturing into any legitimate Investment without a proper guidance of an expert can lead to a great loss too

Hello nice comments here please what exactly kind of investment are you talking about here, I'm really interested too
Break your laziness down, divide and conquer. You don't have to climb a mountain in your first try it even in one go. Set a 5 minute timer and commit to doing your best for 5 minutes. If that's too much then 3 or 1 minute. Start small and be victorious, use the momentum of your victory to set more small goals and pave the way forward with success and good habits!
Absolutely agree !! Great comment. To split all "big" things in small units, you can reach it and have a much higher motivation
Distractions internal or external are normal in life.
In between fruits of small efforts should be stitched.
Great way of doing things.. thank you.
😅 stay energetic
How do you eat an elephant?
I am sceptical, and I worked and continue pushing myself hard to do more, but sometimes it’s good to be little lazy. Life is not only about accomplishments and reaching goals. Sometimes we need to lay on the grass and do nothing.
Non action is something that is at the heart of a spiritual quest. To be able to come to a complete stop and watch what happens is something vital on a path of realisation.

I had failed all of my exams back in university days. I had felt no motivation to move one inch for years. Then out of nowhere an exam was tasked on me, and I decided to give it a shot. I prepared for it genuinely, and cleared on first attempt. People who I discussed it with told me how difficult of an exam it was. I signed up for another exam, in order to clear that as well and find jobs. I never felt this motivated to take exam and look for jobs before. I would always fall in imposter syndrome. But my 1 achievement gave me confidence to keep moving. It is necessary to achieve little and move ahead from there. It feels like magical.
I've followed the teachings of Zen for many years, and read many writings such as Zen Flesh, Zen Bones, but I've never come across a story less inspiring than this one.
Yes, the story comes across as slightly patronising. Like yourself, have read books like Zen Flesh, Zen Bones but find the most lucid comments are in a book entitled Zen Essence by Thomas Cleary, published by Shambhala books, Colorado, USA.
For most of my life I have felt like I am mired in the debris of creative ideas that I started with enthusiasm, but lost momentum and moved onto something else. Incredibly, after viewing this and listening to this story my procrastination is gone and I have completed all my unfinished projects. I am so motivated and organized since I saw this, I am volunteering to help the needy 3 days a week!

After climbing and descending the mountain to get the feather, the young man was challenged to row to another continent to retrieve an eggshell, and after that he hiked to Arabia to find a grain of sand. He lived busily ever after, never questioning the value of his pursuits.
😂 Exactly!!
Lol...
I once knew a very hard working woman around 1990/91 who had a daughter who was always very lazy. Sadly, the daughter died shortly afterwards, and it was only around that time that it transpired that the reason for her apparent laziness was from a lack of energy due to diabetes, which was not diagnosed until too late. The daughter also had other diabetes symptoms, such as complaints about poor vision.

@@alpark3024 So true and then people get depressed and live an idle life which resembles and feels like laziness. People need purpose.
The illustrations, the color scheme, they just evoke happiness and warmth ❤️
The moral of the story - do not listen to people passing by when you are enjoying being lazy, even if they are monks
To me, its about just starting somewhere...as long as you start and continue moving, you will accomplish tasks. And it is rewarding as you go along.
In my version the young man finds the cave and the feather. He then cleans out the cave and turns that into his lazy place and no pestering Monks or people ever bother his slumber again.
It's hard to move on and do sinple tasks when you too anxious or depressed because people don't understand at all. Take your time and remember that if you're not healthy you must take you own time. Don't give up, it's not laziness in your case! It's just hard to keep going beacuse you're tired, but you can do it. Things will get better.
Eat nutritious diet. Drink plenty of water.
Take liquid vitamins. These are easier to digest.

Peopel can only see what you present to them, they can only see and understand you when you See and decide to listen, love and truly understand you. That's the point dear.
In a world where multitasking, speed and hard work is over rated and rest/ sleep is kind of demonised, we should start with updating the real definition of ‘lazyness’.

This is about "pull" motivation (an exciting thing pulling you forward), as opposed to "push"motivation (having external forces driving you, or you learning to drive yourself). It seems we need pull until we can see the benefit of learning to push ourselves.
to me the lesson is to wait around long enough for someone to challenge you.
but what if there is no one around to challenge you? Only around to knock you down over again and instill doubt. Do i abandon that place? seek refuge where i do not hav to hear people discouraging me all the time? i have been my only positive voice in my mind for so long. all my efforts easily looked over. im the only one that sees my progress. i cheer for myself in each step to move forward only to be crushed everytime. im the only one that knows hard ive been trying with nothing to show.
He who lays in the grass all day under the shade with total peace of mind of himself is to be left alone. But the one that is trapped in shadows that deafen the light of the sun are loosing battles to the cold, yet fight to keep the fire within themselves burning so that they might see another day to try. Meanwhile those who walk in the sun see no one there in the illusion of the shadows. Greeted by warmth and sun, they live viciously in their rightful energy.
A wilted flower is not lazy.

Laziness can be honed to a skill. I have improved every job task because of laziness, increasing productivity and company profit because I dont like to do anything that wastes time or has procedures that are slow and silly.
Thank you ❤❤
The story shows the young man being motivated by the sense of accomplishment, making it all worth it.
This, however, is not a given. In my first semester of university, I pushed myself above all limits, studying every hour I could without burning out completely (roughly 80/week). By the end, I had a 3.4 GPA. This was not what I hoped for and left me burned out for a while with a reward not big enough to spark any lasting desire for more.
Thus, it is important to have a reward big enough to make it worth it or your brain will not wash away the hardship.

Inspiring. Yesterday afternoon as I walked back up my short driveway after checking the mail, I noticed a Blue Jay feather laying on the ground about half way up to the house. I just went back and picked it up. I named the little feather "Zen". I put Zen on my dresser and I feel so much better now, I believe a short nap is in order.
If a monk ever asks you to climb a mountain, wait a day and then give it to him
I feel alot of what was said as the moral was tacked on then an understanding. The monk used the young man's curiosity ro start the journey which he found the beauty in the environment as he went climbing and once he was on the other side he knew he did the climb once he knew he could do it again.
So what I understand of the story is one must be interested in the world around them to overcome laziness and what has been done once can be done again.
Thank youu❤
We don’t need to know everything especially in this day and age. We just need to know what works for us.
👍👍👍
1/The story begins with a monk coaching and inspiring: a teacher.
2/There are setbacks in life caused by hatred, sabotage, falsehood, destructive minds from people towards life itself. (like war situations and soldiers getting to suffer from ptss for example).
Even if we get loads of difficulties and people trying to pick on and on and on and on on us, for selfish, mean or just fulish and certainly stupid reasons (is there a war that is not stupid?), we still must go on, though the system gets tired, not willing to give up, but depressed and in different ways concentration and focus hurt. By the anger of other peoples´ ego..you then get an overload of stress and problems to deal with, which or not even your own problems, not even your own ´lazyness´, but that of others and more.
Depressed might look lazy, it is not that simple to deal with...
In this story and advising ´mind-blowing´ wisdom is nothing about how to get rid of the lazyness that some people overcome by hurting and violencing and disrespecting someone who works hard. To get rid of the setbacks created through people who trying to bully and sabotage and make war for no reason at all, whom do so to try to steal energy and spirit and getting ´life´ at the costs of others.. a not natural setback, but from low: much lower then lazyness, namely wicked, the setbacks coming from cowards, the wars from idiots.. at the cost of time and soul.. at the cost of LIFE
Mind-blowing Zen to me starts always with 1/ Teacher-coach (help from higher), 2/ To practise what we have learned.
Simple and powerful technics are not discussed here, nor any secret.
Protect life as much as you can!
You are feeling happy, interested, succesfull, strength, self confident while working which u totaly forget b4 starting.
2.when we push ourselves to achieve we discover a strength and resilience within ourselves that we never knew
3. Feather's meathaphor and end are tied badly
Powerful message

Thanks- I needed this today. Beautifully told except for one tiny mistranslation in the captions at 3:13: "Now he knew that he had the strength and determined Asian to overcome any obstacle..." You write stories within story.dont you?
@@nawatime_titha Yes :) Because in movies, characters do things "offscreen" as well as "onscreen". The monk could only know a feather was in that cave if he had placed it recently- and in a spot where it would not just blow away!

wow. real mind-blowing. 😴
Perspiration.
You dont need energy to get busy.
Once you get busy, you get energy.
It's easier to do a task for someone else than to do something for yourself :P
What do you get from doing something for someone else? Can you give that to yourself?
Every single progression of our species is the fruits of our laziness, We started agriculture to provide easy and sustainable food without having to hunt and gather, we dug wells so we didn't have to travel miles each day to fresh water sources. We reared beasts of burden and then developed machines to do all the manual labour and assist us and expedite travel. We consistently strive forward to make the burdens of living less.
A modernized analogy of this proverb would be the old man owns the mountain, he demands 80% of all the feathers you find and if you ever find enough feathers to do more than sustain yourself the government starts taking more of the remaining feathers away. So, be sure you really enjoy collecting feathers as your screwed either way.
