@@tilL_I_AM_Famous I tend to prefer picturesque courses, and courses that don't have a chance of crossing fairways or walking paths (so I will definitely visit this course). Fox Run Meadows is #1. Ed Headrick, Maple Hills, Harmony Bends, and Brewster Ridge are all after that. I should say that I haven't played courses in MI, but I'm fixing that later this month. Maine courses are rated highly, and so are FL courses, but they're both pretty much, seen one course, seen every regional course. Courses in the Appalachia areas are really scenic, but often poorly laid out.
@@tybarnes895 I just updated my wish list! Haha I went to one at Tampa and it was awesome. I love my MA courses, but making a trip for some cool scenes is what it’s all about! Thank you for the list.
@@tilL_I_AM_Famous Nice. If you go up into Vermont, then I would also recommend Black Hills. If you go up into Maine, my favorite course was Augusta Disc Golf. Down in Florida, the only course that is really unique is New World outside of Jacksonville! Have fun!
Simons definitely my favorite pro disc golfer. He’s always so positive and always tells new and even experienced players to make sure to have fun with the game. It’s not all about earning money from playing. Also is very good at the sport might not be the best but still up there in the ranks and is always humble
Ive played football/hockey since very young age but I have to admit discgolf has the best community without a doubt. Everyone is so friendly, love the video Simon. As usual!
So freaking glad someone told you to play that course! It's the best one we got in Utah besides Base Camp in Moab. We just played Solitude on Saturday!
This course reminds me of my childhood back in the late 60's and throughout the 70's. I grew up exploring the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior with my family [using a 26' cabin cruiser] when it was still mostly uncommercialized. The unspoiled views and total connection to nature was a large part of my childhood! Oh to breathe in that pure, aromatic and soothing air again!...It would be Bliss!
Absolutely loved this video even before the disc golf started. Looks like a 10/10 afternoon Simon and company! I have always hoped to run into you fellas on the course some day, and still hope it happens. Until then, Stay great. p.s. I think that would probably be an Aspen grove of trees you were walking through. Do yourself a favor and return to that course in late September/ early October when the Utah sky is deep blue and those Aspens are vivid yellow. You won't regret it ;-)
Why can't I just make putts? That's not a put, it's a throw in! Don't be so hard on yourself, you're one of the best disc golfers ever. Keep it up and rock on. Cheers mate. 🍻❤
@@dylanfernandez2022 I worked up at Solitude 5 yrs. (ski-bumming). I've hiked all through there, but never golfed it once 😂. Now I'm hooked on disc-golf for about 2 yrs. Need to get back out there to give it a try.
First time live coverage was awesome and the standard is no lesser than espn or starsports … switching camera angles and replay during live is nota game … u guys did great job
Soli Sundays, Baby! Love that course. Played it last Sunday after World's. Great ending to a week of AWESOME disc golf with World's in UT. Grip it and rip it, son.
Glad to see you enjoyed Solitude, & I'm curious as to what you shot score wise... Our local players anxiously wait 8mo every year for the 4mo window where it's open for play. Also, Eagle's shot was just a safari hole from 6tee-8basket. Solitude vibes are always soul enriching...
I have played the course and it is epic. On 18 I put it within 60 feet. Unbelievable, it was in the air for Sooooooo long it looked like it was going over the lodge and landed within 60. By far the longest airtime I've ever had. Took me quite awhile to hike down. I've also skied this resort many times and it is a great ski area too.
The disc golf course at Mount Crested Butte is named 10-3 because the first hole starts at 10,300". You take the ski lift up to the first hole and throw your way back down the mountain. I only took a few discs and lost them all on the way down, mostly in tall grass. On nice days the hang gliders are soaring high above. Sweet!
Sad to hear all the players say they didn’t like the course. That was my favorite disc golf to watch of all the courses they have played. Love the right gaps. There were six people in contention at the last day. What more could you want?
I love the mountains of Utah, were you staying in park city? I used to live there for a bit, and man do they have amazing outdoors. Sadly I didn't play disc golf then. :/
My first round ever was at solitude. apparently there is a ski lift to the top on the weekends, but we were there on a weekday. we had to hike up to the top too. i was exhausted before we ever started.
Hilltop in Alaska was the best ski hill dg course . Just ask Avery , Paige , Feldberg and Chandler . Dave considers the Toboggan course as a easy Hilltop
For anyone curious, you don't have to take the hike into the course. There is a chair lift that costs like $10, or they have season passes. Simon probably wanted to hike, or it wasn't operating yet. Also this course is insane, beautiful, cool in the summer, really difficult, and you'll lose a lot of discs if you're a scrub like me.
Jeff is superb for the DGPT, the tour is in good hands
the problem is pdga
Let Paul McBeth be in charge.
Exactly. Jeff sounds just like Heavy D from Diesel Brothers, sounds just like him
Simon: *Doesn't play disc golf during vacation*
Me: *Plans vacations around disc golf courses*
Same. I've been to all of the best courses East of the Miss.

Thank you for posting my shot Simon✊ I'm a big fan!
That was a pretty wild shot. Well done.
Sooo sick dude!!
Thank you for also posting my shot.
I’m the one who actually threw in that ace, not this phony
Dude seems super humble for having the disc golf world on his shoulders
He is a good dude...but the " disc golf world on his shoulders " part is highly debatable ...:)
This is so calming. Love from Finland

7:55 "why can't I just make putts?" Only Simon would consider it a putt while standing in circle 4! 😆
Lol yeah
That is such a beautiful place. Wo. Nice to get a peek at it with Simon and friends.
“And he’s a happy man in the woods.” I think I now fully understand my love for the game. Thanks Jeff and Simon.
I was really hoping for, Shot of the Day - James Conrad

Jeff is good people, love having him on the blog, thanks Simon!!!
So glad I got to see you in person for the first time at Worlds! Glad you're enjoying the mountains of Utah!
Got Simon's ol' Herby Hancock at worlds. Nice nice dude, a line a mile long and 100°. Thanks for being so fan friendly and taking the time out.

Took me back to the good old days playing Aspen mountain. Great video.
Yes, I'm so glad to see this. I play this course weekly during the summer and there's not a more fun course then soli.

Gotta check out Crystal Mountain, Washington. One of my all time favorite mountain courses.
Beautiful course! Quite the hike before your first throw. Great job with the camera.
Simon, thanks for being so cool to the fans at worlds!
Love. Love this course! The hike up to it is great!!
You need to be getting some tour vlogs in man! But it's awesome Natalia joined and helped film
This is such a ridiculously fun course. So happy the baskets are back in this summer.
Eagle's shot is fun to watch. Another great one from Solitude is Jere Eshelman's throw on hole 18. 1500 feet!

wow, great content! That little trickshot at the end was really nuts too! O.o

The video coverage is fantastic.
8:17, smooth.
If you go on Saturdays in the summer, you can usually use the chair lift to get to the top.
Love your content Simon! Swing by North East Mississippi sometime to get your state ace here!
Great course! Glad you got up to play it!
Simon: "Why can't I make putts?"
Eagle: "Maybe you're afraid of life."

Mt. Bachelor in Oregon has a similar course. I shredded a pair of shoes navigating down the talus slopes.

Played that during a conference 2 years ago (I’m from AZ). Super fun course, especially with the LLOONNGG additional 9 holes up top.
I didn't know Jeff Spring was such a good disc golfer--putting especially.

Mulligan's was super disappointing to me. I really liked The Fort though.
Yessss! We hit the first round of the season here 2 weeks ago
Check out Nordic Centre at Canmore, Alberta, Canada. Maybe the prettiest course you’ll ever play!

4:21 What did pro's not like about the fort? I thought it looked like a great choice for worlds
Why did you not use The new P2?
