First thing you need to do is get it running, before ever laying out money to buy new parts. I think in the end if you plan on going the way you say you want to go, will cost you a whole lot more than you're expecting to lay out on a used generator. In the end, it could cost you as much as a new generator and you still end up with a used one in the end. I'd get it running first to see if the whole system works.
No no. I got good experience from working on this one. It waS intended for others to view the rebuild that I showcased. This generator will be staying with me, I just thought of a perfect usage of it. This video and all others contribute to the world of small engine repair. Cost is not an issue, my regular job pays for these rebuilds.

Yes it was. I got it running. Took a few new parts to do it. But I'm happy with my results
