This is a great interview with some great questions as well. Claire has certainly taught me a lot, too. It seems like everyone is still on board with making more seasons of Outlander, so I wouldn't be surprised if it went for 8, 9, or 10 seasons (with some books being condensed). As Cait says, the show is about an aspirational love story, and that's why so many people connect to it. Claire is very passionate, and that has kind of rubbed off on me, too, after reading the books and watching the show. Thank you so much for posting both interviews! interesting cos Rami Malek went back to Mr Robot after winning an Oscar and Golden Globe. These two have real integrity and I also know they have lots of other opportunities which they limit so they can do the series. I don't think anyone would think ill of them if they did call it a day.
This is the most riveting series ever. It transcends fandom but it’s a relatable series. I know that having Scottish ancestry it has opened my eyes. Keep watching. Do not let it end.
As much as I admire Claire's contribution since the story is supposedly based on her and her time travels, which actually have ended, one cannot leave out Jamie, for let's face it, there are very few if any modern men that could go through what he has and will! I truly hope we will have a season 7 although some of book 8 should be included in season 7's story line to end this fascinating journey.

I have read all the books, some twice! I don't think we have a problem, the essence is there. Where there are changes they make sense dramatically. Agree that it is a drama series on TV. Different genre to novel that being said, I hope that Diana Gabaldon keeps writing more.

Honestly I hope it’s cancelled this series has become a shit show if I’m being real honest. And this Super Claire bs has ruined the story for me.. they’ve made no difference to the story and Sam thinking Jamie wearing a redcoat is an utter disgrace to who and what Jamie is as a character. Shame on him...
