In Bible college, a Ukrainian couple were leaving to go back home. Our teacher asked a few of us to lay hands on them and pray for them and share any words they felt were from the Lord with them. Each student had really great words of knowledge for them. I had nothing so when it was my turn to pray i just silently prayed in tongues. Well i just could not keep praying silently i kept getting louder and louder... well it turned out that i was praying in Russian (I dont know Russian) and the Lord used my tongues to tell them of people and places they needed to see and talk to when they get back home to the Ukraine. They are now full time missionaries to Russia!
Now this is the gift of tongues. Speaking in an actual language that can be understood by others. Speaking in a trance that can’t be understood isn’t having the gift of tongues. Amen. Tks for sharing that. You should share that with more people. Bec people who are speaking in a trance that can’t be understood are speaking for God’s opposition. Trust yeshua!
I never tried to mimic others, couldn't even if I tried to. I received the gift from God when I got Baptise in the Holy Spirit. For me I will keep praying in tongues.
@@davidhess1019 He's not denying that people speak in tongues. He just has a problem with when people are taught or peer pressured into a false tongues.
I heard a testimony of someone who went to a mission trip. He was praying for the people, got filled with the spirit, started speaking in tongues and the people understood everything he was saying in their language.
I believe that that is the biblical way of speaking in tongues. Sometimes God will allow certain people to speak in a language they don't know in order to speak to a group of people. Something similar has happened to me before. But this charismatic churches' idea that speaking in tongues in a language nobody understands is okay, it's not biblical.
@@ellenpereira9521 Idk. My cousin and I were praying then out of nowhere she started speaking this strange language. Afterwards she said she felt weak and was shaking. When I asked what happened she said she didn’t know and that it felt like something took over her mouth. Wouldn’t that be considered speaking in tongues?
That’s the Biblical gift of speaking in tongues! It’s literally speaking a language you don’t know. Anything other than that isn’t Biblical, at least from what I see in the Bible.
The most important point you made is when you said you started reading the Bible for yourself. We can’t recognize a counterfeit if we aren’t familiar with the real one in detail. It’s so crucial and valuable to be in a strong and sound Bible expository church!
I just think he's now being pressured by the Baptist and has gone overboard to the other side now rejecting the gift of tongues altogether without rightly dividing the word of Truth
I'm so glad that many in the comments are testifying the truth!! I got baptized by the Holy Spirit when I was between 11 and 12. I was never forced to speak in tongue.
Same experience. I had two experiences where I was at bible camp where I went forward for prayer to draw closer to Jesus. I spoke in some tongue I did not understand, I could not stifle it. I don’t speak in tongues otherwise.
I never felt pressured. It simply happened the first day I accepted Jesus. I didn’t even know what tongues were … it just started coming out of my mouth uncontrollably….you can never tell me it’s not real.
You should've just called this video "I STOPPED SPEAKING IN TONGUES BECAUSE I WAS FAKING IT FOR YEARS AND IF YOU KNOW YOU'RE FAKING, YOU SHOULD TOO!" Because some of us were blessed with the gift for real. And if you think we should stop using it, you should take that up with God. This is why it's a must for people to study the Word for themselves, because some well intentioned people can wax eloquent and be in complete error. Study your Word, the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truths.
The reason that I mainly think tongues is no longer a gift, is because no matter who I see speaking *tongues" or a personal prayer language, is because all of it is then exact same. I've never once heard anyone speak anything different than the person on their left "who also speaks tongues". If it's a personal prayer language, then why is it the exact same with no differential?
@@giavonnaramirez Always! His name is Jesus! That's who I'm talking to when I speak in tongues. I'm not one to speak in tongues publicly to show off my gift. But even if there was no interpreter present in a public space, doesn't mean it's not real.
I was 17yo when I first spoke in tongues. I had a traumatic experience that cause me to pray really hard because I was so afraid and concerned about my soul. I was praying so hard and loud. Suddenly it turned to a language I couldn’t make out. Even others around me were shocked. Someone told me “You sound like my mom” But I didn’t care it was just me and God. I’m 29 now and never spoke in tongues since then. That’s an experience no one can EVER take away from me. I truly believe it’s something that is not forced. You MUST be filled with the Holy Spirit and it flows seemlessly.

@@infiniteepoch8 that's what I see in the scripture as well. Just thought it was fun that Alan mentioned Japan as one of his examples and wanted to just give praise to God for grace to learn the language so quickly enough to be able to articulate the scriptures to the Japanese people. The Spirit makes groanings and utterance when don't know how we ought to pray. Paul said Spirit not spirit. Yes the gift has been abused innocent many circles but that doesn't mean the gift is null or void. It is the Holy Spirit that gives the utterance as HE wills. Paul said seek earnestly the best gifts and he operated in many gifts as he yielded to the Holy Spirit.
A friend of mine who is a spirit-filled believer had a seizure one time when he was in the hospital and spoke in tongues during his seizure episode. When he came to himself, the nurse that took care of him said that he was speaking perfect Italian and praising God. Speaking in tongues is a gift of God to minister to the world. And your anecdotal experience isn’t the end all be all of the gift. And just like Paul said in Corinthians, you shouldn’t forbid ppl from speaking in tongues.
as for me and my house we'll continue to speak in tongues. tongues are such a beautiful gift of the holy spirit why would anyone want to stop. There are so many things that the holy spirit does in advance, you could be in tongues praying over a situation months from now and not realise. All glory to Jesus
No one is saying people who truly have the gift of tongues should stop or want to stop. It is the fact that many people professing they speak in tongues are faking it. Lying about it. How would you not be able to realize you are speaking in tongues? Is there any Biblical example that someone didnt realize it?
Speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift; not something that's done casually and on a whim. It's a very serious, spiritual experience that happens when the GENUINE power of the Holy Spirit washes over you.
In my opinion the majority of charismatic Pentecostal brothers and sisters have received a counterfeit gift from the devil, satan, the deceiver, the liar himself....Why? Because they are following their emotions, their feelings... To follow Christ is to walk by faith alone, and to walk by faith we've to be equipped with the word of God which is the Scripture.
The oracle at ancient Delphi is where the pagans would go to worship and concult the oracle. They spoke in "tongues" (not another language) as a part of their pagan spiritual rituals. These same pagans brought this into the church. This was what Paul had to address. It is so interesting to find people wanting to continue to hold on to some of their pagan ways by attempting to spiritualize it. At the end of the day, what does this have to do with salvation and fulfilling the Great Commission?
I have asked the Holy Spirit for my prayer language for years. I didn’t receive it bc I was scared and fearful that what I was saying truly wasn’t it. So I prayed against the spirit of fear and unbelief, like my pastor told us and told the Holy Spirit that I receive His gift bc I know it builds me spiritually and for the first time this morning it was unlocked for me. Same way Jacob wrestles with God bc He wanted His blessing, I wanted to be closer to Him. Your prayer language brings you closer to God and even tho the Spirit gives gifts to whom He desires, I believe if we ask, God is faithful to give. I will never stop praying in my language, I’m so grateful and feel closer to Him.
Speaking in tongues is for the unbelievers, the jews. Jews seeked after a sign, all threw the bible. So, if you speak in tongues, a jew or jews must be present to be able to speak in his own language.
@@KingJames4life what you just said is not biblical in the sense that in Jude 20, praying in the Spirit builds US up in most Holy faith. Who? US . The Gift that paul, the disciples, Mary ( Jesus mother) ALL received in the Upper Room is a private prayer language that the bible SAYS the Holy Spirit only prays what he hears the Father say. Holy spirit speaks thru this gifted language. NOT ONLY can the gift manifest to speak foreign language for a specific person or persons, NOT ONLY can it be received in a public Church setting before the whole congregation with an intrepreter, BUT tongues is also prayed privately and the WORD says that IN THIS Application " you are not praying to Man BUT To God. Same gift, different uses but all Edify-- either the whole church, and Unbelievers, Individuals , ANd /OR the one individual praying privately to God, NOT man . Not talking about faking tongues or demonic tongues but the pure gifts of Holy Spirit which clearly are stated when one reads scripture are real and Holy by Gods design. Scripture is clear on this and bears witness when you ask and receive this gift by faith. While the body of Christ bicker and debate , the enemy laughs and , prospers when our Armor and weapons of warfare are being diminished by doctrines of demons. Many times Ive no idea what to pray by my human finite understanding about a situation, but Holy Spirit prays through us when we know not what we ought to say. Gods perfect will is being released by Holy spirit as we yield to Him. Again, if you discern this, you may can grasp the importance of paul saying he prays in his understanding ( human words) AND by Holy Spirit ( tongues) and wishes we all to do it. I was a child when I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues. The Holy Spirit just filled me. I was too young to articulate what was happening, but I knew it was God, and I have been speaking in tongues Ever since. And now, of course, I have the scriptures to explain what I already experienced. The ability to pray in your heavenly language when you don’t know what to pray is invaluable! You can’t put a price on it. I’m so glad I grew up in a place where we were taught about speaking in tongues. And I understand, it is difficult for some very intellectually driven mindsets to receive these things. The scripture says they are spiritually discerned. They aren’t understood with mere intellect. But I am sure that anyone who wants to receive this gift can when they fully surrender. And it’s easier for some. But there is no denying the existence and power of speaking in tongues, especially in environments where actual miracles are still happening. I am seeing it. And it’s a beautiful sight to see. I pray for all who are struggling to understand it. But hey, we all have our unique journeys. And speaking in tongues isn’t a requirement for going to heaven or being a believer. But it can make living life a powerful and victorious experience.
Thank you so much for your point. your experience is similar to mine. i never force it or try imitate anyone but i was filled by the Holy Sprit and could not stop it. glory to jesus
I'm glad you were taught the problem with a lot of Church's over the last 40 years is forcing people down when laying hands on them and repetitiously speaking in what we assume as tongues but find out it's just a parlor trick like the dance everyone can do when the drums kick in or what we call "shouting.' I wish more churches would touch on false hoods and false teachings and other warnings, especially when new to the faith. We don't have people being sent out like Paul and Timothy who are openly correcting the body or its leaders. I like what you stated about surrendering and fully receiving. I was brought into prayer in college after a girl witnessed God using me, but she was moving ahead of God and wanted me to lead bible study and go into prayer with her and a pastoral couple. I was thrown of and its embarrassing when you're around people who go into repetition. I feel the Holy Spirit would not have told her to push me if she was truly aligned with God but yet again something we aren't taught about, a spirit of religion. The church in the early 90s spoke on it but these new Church's won't say anything, they are too scared to even denounce false sects of Christianity. If it happens in a personal moment with God, I receive it but not for show.
Well said glory to God, I pray God opens everyone eyes to see the importance of praying in tongues to live a victorious christian life, the Holy Spirit pray through us with word that cannot be uttered with groaning He helps us in our infirmities
I totally agree , the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit gives the utterance . A.P did not experience this truth he believed what others told him in a church and some kind of pressure that is no biblical .
My experience was different. I never faked my tongue speaking. The Holy Spirit words came out when I was praying for revival with some friends when I was 15 years young so about 15 years ago. And no! Nobody was speaking in tongues here but me. It wasn’t like everyone was speaking in tongues and I felt like a peer pressure reaction. Like I said I was the only one who had this experience and I wasn’t thinking about tongues, it was never forced on me, and I never even knew that there was a doctrine that taught you need to pray in tongues to have the Holy Spirit. We were praying and the spiritual words came out. Let me say that after this experience I grew in holiness, I was able to end the porn addiction I had (I haven’t watched porn for years) My evangelism is more effective, I can’t go a day without reading the Bible because I actually have a genuine desire to read the Bible and just my love for Jesus and His people increased. And tongues can be used and should be used as a privet prayers language unless there is an interpreter. The key verse is 1 Corinthians 14:28 “If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God.”
Thanks for sharing this. Just like my own testimony..All my Christian life I have praised, prayed and talked to the Lord in tongues up till this morning. Most part of the tongues in prayer I understood by the Help of the Holy Spirit and am amazed at the assistance the Holy Spirit gives us in prayer!
I had a near death experience. Yes I saw God in all his power and glory. He told me I was his and he loved me. When I woke up from cardiac arrest. I spoke in tongues for the first time in my life. Sorry but speaking in tongues just means speaking in another language .. not gibberish . Only the few in acts spoke in tongues to address the crowd in the Bible .
that usually happens when there is some damage to the brain like psychosis. I believe I spoke in tongues ones to the devil when I was under the influence of drugs. to this day im still healing from that demonic experience. when the vail is open( this happens through drugs or damage caused to the brain due to almost dying) you are becoming weaker therefore more prone to being attacked by the devil.
Sigh. I got into speaking in tongues because it was a very spiritual atmosphere and I actually tried not to because it was wierd and tried to hold my tongue but I knew it was coming so I just released myself to it. And never stopped since then. You shouldn’t because of peer pressure and you shouldn’t try to say anything by force. It also doesn’t mean you don’t have the HolySpirit. As Paul wrote, there is order, so if someone prays in tongues we have an interpreter and we do it just as the Paul and the bible tells us to do so. Also pray in tongues with your Heavenly Father on your own time, amen.
If you actually had the real gift of tongues you would NEVER want to stop and you definitely wouldn’t encourage others to stop either! It’s a supernatural gift given by the Holy Spirit. It absolutely edifies your prayer life and helps in intercessory prayer for others. I got this gift on my own during prayer. No one taught it to me or prayed over me. I didn’t even believe this gift was for me. It’s an entire language that you can turn on or off like any other language. It doesn’t sound like gibberish either. I think people make fun of or reject what they don’t understand. I believe you’re upset because you had a bad experience at your old church and that is interfering with your exegesis of scripture when it comes to this topic. Ive studied and read all the scripture on this topic and see the use of tongues both as a prayer language and as a corporate gift that needs an interpreter. I also had a bad experience with a church and know exactly how it feels to not fit in when you can’t pray in tongues and you’re pressured to do so. I refused to pray in fake tongues because I knew it was wrong. I was looked at as less than and a JV Christian so I know how that feels. I also don’t believe you can teach someone the gift of tongues, so that we can agree on. I believed in the gift, but just thought it wasn’t for me. Then 10 yrs later during a time of spiritual warfare, I got it during prayer and it’s been life changing for me. I don’t know why God waited so long to give me this gift, but when He did it was at a time when I really needed it. God gives us all different gifts when we need them and we’re told to pursue the gifts of the spirit. It’s up to the Holy Spirit to give us the ones that he has for us and I believe he does that in his timing. I believe the gift of tongues is a possibility for every believer. Meaning you won’t know if it’s for you unless you seek it. You have a great teaching gift and I usually enjoy your videos except for this one. I feel like everyone is attacking charismatics right now and you just used your platform to tell everyone that has the REAL gift of tongues that it’s fake, the Bible doesn’t support it, and you should probably stop it because it’s not real. You’re also teaching people not to seek this gift which is a contradiction of scripture.
Thank you for this excellent response. I completely agree. This video is very unfortunate. Scripture wholly supports speaking in tongues and for Allen to say it doesn't is just false.
@@suzanneobrien781 Yes, you have to do all kinds of exegetical gymnastics to make scripture not be clear on this subject. Where is your faith in this matter? Could it be that speaking in tongues is more complex than maybe you think it should be? Could it be that because there’s not as much clarity about this gift of the Spirit and there are people who fake having the gift, you dismiss it being real? Perhaps you should let faith take the driver’s seat for this topic? Alan, I would challenge that maybe you have never received the gift, but an imitation and without power. I’ve met and heard of many people who, alone and by themselves, started speaking in an unknown tongue, before they even heard of it. Their thirst for Jesus was so strong that it was spontaneous and life changing. Praise God! You, being a RUclipsr, have a great responsibility and to dissuade people- God forbid- to receive such an extremely wonderful, life giving and change gift, is very dangerous. God bless you with a true and powerful experience in Him🙏🏼💞
He's talking about his experience, and explaining why he stopped forcing himself to utter what were forced meaningless sounds. That kind of false show is certainly not what God wants. His reasoning is based on the Bible, which is what we should all do: go back to the Bible instead of relying on "he says", "she says". I also know about the example in Acts where the apostles spoke in the languages of the people who were present in the city. So each one got the Gospel in their own language. For the non-understandable tongues, we can hardly say anything, when we do not understand a word. None of the churches I have attended practice this. And I think that just like Allen did, many do it without being prompted to do it by the Holy Spirit, just like many pretend they can heal and people will get on the floor and get in a trance but no healing occurs. There are many false pastors, teachers, prophets. We need to test everything.
Brother, as a 61 year old male I was taught that you didn’t have the Holy Ghost unless you spoke in tongues. So I know what peer pressure is all about. I no longer speak in tongues and have seen people fall away because they never spoke in tongues and felt they weren’t saved. Brother Pearl, The Door had a great teaching concerning this. Thanks for sharing.
Sir you misread, all believers have the Holy Spirit but there is a subsequent empowering of the Spirit that comes after salvation. Acts 1:8, Acts 8:17, Acts19 1-6 confirms this. This guy is telling you his view, who will u listen to him or Jesus, Peter, and Paul. His teachings are in serious error on this subject
To all my Sisters and brothers in Christ If you have received the gift of tounges KEEP speaking/praying!!! This was his experience therefore don’t take all he’s telling/sharing. Not to bash him but as for me I’m going to focus on my OWN relationship with God ❤
Sad that some people just do not have the right Spirit to discern, even after all the biblical teaching has been explained. Basing your faith on something that is your experiences, rather the clear teaching of the Word of God. Your speaking and praying in tongues, is not in accordance to the Scriptures, but according to some erroneous teaching by false teachers.
Although I disagree with him being in error, I do agree with your statement for us all to be accountable unto God by reading, studying, and praying to God for ourselves. THAT PART!!! When we belong to Him no matter what end of the debate we are on we can trust that the Giver of gifts the Holy Spirit will lead and guide us to all TRUTH. God bless us all today and Lord we just desire to be pleasing to you in word and deeds. ❤
Very well said. There is no edification without understanding. I have found that people who are emotionally driven or young that, really don't know the word are the ones who fall victim to this false teaching.
Tongues is a beautiful gift but should not be glorified above the rest For all those who believe in this non biblical doctrine of Baptism of the Holy with the evidence of Speaking in Tongues You have fallen victim to the Apostasy that has been foretold in 1 Timothy 4:1 This doctrine of Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of Speaking in Tongues IS NOT THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST This is a man made new wind of doctrine created by Charles Fox Parham who was a Mason that began this false teaching in 1901 that glorifies tongues as the only evidence to recieve the power of the Holy Spirit, this was later developed into his own denomination called Pentecostalism. The Truth is In the book of Acts there were some that received the Holy Spirit & spoke with tongues Acts 10:44-46 and there were some that received the Holy Spirit & DID NOT SPEAK IN TONGUES ACTS 8:15-17 Either way with or without Tongues they & we recieve the Holy Spirit As Jesus Himself being filled with the Holy Spirit never prayed in tongues or spoke in tongues & promised us in John 7:37-39 that if we BELIEVE in Him we will recieve the Holy Spirit He never named Tongues as the "only" evidence But He did name Spiritual Fruit as evidence in Matthew 7:20-22 & 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 And also As Jesus said in Acts 1:5 we are baptized with the Holy Spirit we become REGENERATED in the Spirit as it reads in Titus 3:5-6 which says the moment we are saved we recieve the Holy Spirit in that self same moment & Ephesians 1:13 reveals the process of recieving the Holy Spirit 1. You heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ 2. You believed the message of Truth 3. Then you received the promised Holy Spirit Simple as 1,2,3 After the grand entrance of the Holy Spirit from heaven on the day of Pentecost beyond that there is not one scripture when anyone has ever needed to tarry, wait, beg, cry, agonize or struggle to be filled with the Holy Spirit, as it was instant upon hearing & believing, Before 1901 no one not Jesus nor the Apostles never taught such a false doctrine as Tongues being the only evidence of the Holy Spirit this doctrine was designed by devils & given to Charles Fox Parham to divide the church & cause many to fall from the faith of the True Gospel of Jesus Christ
@@lovefaith1714 I agree, mostly. Thanks for sharing. But I do believe it IS evidence, but I agree with you that it is not the ONLY evidence. There are MANY “gifts” of the spirit and many manifestations of the Spirit. We sometimes just choose to highlight this one as you said, “glorified” above the rest. 👍🏽
🤷🏾♀️ 2010… someone laid hands on me @ campus fellowship and prayed for me, Holy Spirit took over from there. It shocked me, like an eruption from my belly, but it was the happiest day. And it never ceased ever since.
That's the river of living water Jesus talked about in John 7:38. Speaking in tongues is for all! It's the sign you have been filled with the Holy Ghost.
That is an unfortunate lie@@alexanderh2345 , the gift of tongues was only ever present in a group of people from different language backgrounds. The apostles in Acts had at least one instance where they laid hands and the Holy Spirit descended and tongues was NOT present because it was not needed (Acts 8:17). Be enlightened
I had the same experience but let me ask you something can you do that outside of church? I’ve seen people speak on “tongues” outside of church but that made me question weather it was real or not. The Bible says : “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
I think a lot of people would be afraid to admit that they are possibly just copying the sounds others are making verses actually receiving a gift from God. I believe the gift is possible but not all doing it are legitimate and it’s sad when people do it out of pressure. I think it should be between the person and God. Thank you for sharing this
I still do. Its been nothing but a blessing in my prayer life. I didnt have peer pressure. I was praying the Lords prayer in my room on my knees before the Lord. That's how I first experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gave utterance.
Baptized in spirit doesn't means speaking in tongues rather it's the time when you're accepted JESUS CHRIST Lord as personal saviour that's the moment you baptized with holy spirit soo don't keep wrong mentality by saying speaking in tongues give you the assurance that your born again
@blessmon1997 there's a difference between being immersed into the body of Christ through regeneration in the New birth by the Holy Spirit and being in filled by the Holy Spirit empowering you for ministry and Christian witness and living. Jesus Himself made this distinction when he told them that they would be baptized with the Holy Spirit shortly after His ascension. Everyone in the upper room on the day of pentecost was already regenerate. They were already born of God, having their sins atonement for by the shed blood of Christ. This is the law of first mention in scripture that establishes what we believe on a certain doctrine.
Those aren’t tongues, there’s other spirits around that take advantage of Christian’s that don’t even know a THING about what they’re doing. There’s a reason possessions are ON THE RISE. Don’t speak it tongues when to begin with you’re not supposed to even be religious to begin with.
I agree with you brother now everybody just say staff in church and the leaders will be like everybody pray in tongues .. the make it sound like it's a must
I know a friend who didn’t know much about tongues and she on her own in prayer began to speak in tongues. She still does. It’s hard to deny what experience a person has with God. Someone can’t tell me I didn’t experience something with the Lord because I was there. I know what happened and nothing was influenced.
Like your friend, I started speaking in tongues on my own in prayer. Unlike her, I had already prayed several times for God to teach me how because I was learning from church that I wanted this unique 'prayer language.' I thought God answered my prayer when I gained the ability. I was so excited!...Later, as I was studying the Bible specifically on speaking in tongues, I came to understand that I was not doing what the Bible described as speaking in tongues. With scripture consistency and commands as my guide, my experience failed to prove to be from God. It hurt but I let go. I'm sharing this experience in case it helps encourage a closer look at the Bible on this. Either way, all the best to you and your friend :)
@@ladieqhill07See…the opposite happened to me 😂. I use to believe that tongues was only speaking in a different language but I came across 1 Corinthians 14 and the Holy Spirit corrected me. I do believe tongues is both a heavenly language and the ability to speak in a different language since there’s scripture to backs up both! But I suggest that you read the scripture yourself and have the Holy Spirit guide you! ❤
@@ladieqhill07 Tongues is not taught but given. Your reason to argue that tongues is not a real thing is because of your assumption and experience. Sorry you assumed that you had tongues. 1 Corinthians 14 talks about tongues and there will always be some people who pretend like Allen Parr. Some people receive it and some don't.
I am keeping and using the gift(s) God gave me. That is why we have a relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ. I dont think speaking in tongues or not will keep one out of Heaven. But Im going to keep using mine in prayer.
Praise God. I am right there with you sister. When I pray in tongues the Holy Spirit definitely leads me in what to pray for. It’s next level prayers and gets my will and flesh out of the mix.
Me too. Whenever I pray in tongues I realize I am more perceptive and scriptures just jump out at me. It's one of the best gifts. I love having a language the enemy can't decode. It must drive him insane😂
Speaking in tongues is the evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit and more but it isn't required in addition to our salvation In Christ Jesus. Though, I also have been baptized in spirit n water I mostly just read my Bible and pray these days.
Amen, I'm with you. It is amazing to see or hear things pop up in the spirit with speaking in my prayer language. God is so good. Sometimes, I just don't know how to put into words what I'm feeling or what to pray about something, the Holy Spirit helps me out, for sure.
Thank you for this! Been searching for answers since 2012 when I was being pressured to pray in tongues. I could write a novel on my confusion but your video was/is the first I’ve had that I 100% agree with & gave me PEACE! So much so I just bought your book too. Keep making videos bc you do have the gift of teaching! 🙏🏻🕊
Speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift; not something that's done casually and on a whim. It's a very serious, spiritual experience that happens when the GENUINE power of the Holy Spirit washes over you.
Amen and not everyone can receive this gift just because they believe they can receive it. The Holy spirit Himself will choose which gift is perfect for each individual's 🙏
I don’t speak in tongues. & I’ve been praying for a few years for the Holly spirit to give me the gift and so far NOTHING! I put that in caps because I agree I think it’s an actual gift and it’s not meant for everyone. & for people who don’t have it that doesn’t mean that they aren’t really saved and should feel something is wrong with them. & for people who do have it people need to recognize it is a gift and that God gave them to do so. The old church I went to was big on tongues and made you feel if you didn’t have it then you weren’t really saved. The pastor one day literally said if you want the gift just ask and on 3 you’ll speak in tongues. Well on 3 J was still just standing there and was thinking ummmm idk if that’s how it’s works 😂. Either way is fine but tongues is real and should be revered. 🙏🙏🙏
@@msezbreezy1this is simply not true. It takes Faith to receive the gift of tongues. The Bible says “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! Mathew 7 9-11. So ask yourself why would God withhold a good gift from you? I received tongues by faith and ever since I have been praying in tongues by will. It has changed my prayer life dramatically. I have seen God work miracles in my life like never before. Praying in tongues actually helps unlock other gifts of the spirit.
When I was in my early 20's I walked into a church and it was insane! I had never been in a church like that. People were jumping around shouting in anything but a language. I left and I said, "they have something but I don't want it." I was afraid for a few years I had blasphemed the Holy Spirit and wouldn't be forgiven for it. It's not for me. God is not a God of confusion.
I live in Romania, so on earth, I don't have a heart of stone, I really have an ok life without vices, not at all, a mother on her head with ;;diapers;; in bed, a relationship that lasts for 20 years, 2 jobs and a puppy that I rescued from the field in the winter, and she was as big as a ... palm. But, I admit, this with false teachings;; ;;the miraculous gifts;; or ;;speaking in tongues;; they are enormous, some scum.. when I see people rolling on the floor when they receive the holy spirit or when they say hallucinatory words; my jaws are breaking from laughing
Don't worry it's not blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. If that were the meaning of the term (denying "gifts" or actions of the Holy Spirit, such as someone speaking gibberish and calling it "tongues") then false and demonic sects/cults could claim they were speaking in tongues but were really channelling demonic incantations and label it a gift from the Holy Spirit. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit would be being completely unrepentant to God for the remainder of your life and being essentially apathetic to even considering His forgiveness (ie: giving God the middle finger until death). You being afraid you had blasphemed fundamentally means you didn't blaspheme the Holy Spirit. God bless!

Years ago I had a disturbing dream that woke me out of my sleep. In the dream my mother told me that my grandmother had committed suicide. I yelled so loud in the dream that I woke up out of my sleep. I was very shaken and I began to pray in my prayer language. Two days later, my friend told me that her grandmother told her that her mother had tried to commit suicide, but was rescued and was not successful. I know that the Lord used me to intercede in prayer for her in the earth to intercept what she was trying to do in the natural, which was to take her own life. I didn't pray in English, I prayed in the Spirit and the Lord heard and intervened🙏🏽Hallelujah❤
Years ago, my sister was about to commit suicide in our room at 2am. I started praying for her in tongues and a suicidal evil spirit manifested and later came out of her right there on our bedroom floor. I did not use a single word of human language while praying for her that night. I know it is the Holy Spirit who cast out that demon that night and set my sister free from suicide.
I'm sorry that you had this bad experience...I had a different experience and I do speak in tongues not by external pressure nor by foolishness following others teaching but by the grace of God..I didn't even know what tongues was before I spoke in tongues 🤯
I usually speak in tongues when my intercessory prayers are very intense. It’s like I have no words to express my concern. I get a sense of what I am saying. I believe it is when the Holy Spirit takes over with utterances I cannot explain.
Maybe its Satan giving you utterances, how do we know its God. Do you understand things you pray? I was at a church that spoke in "tounges". They were praying over me because I had a stalker. I literally couldn't breathe because they were suffocating me. I was praying to Jesus to help me & tell me if this was actually from God because it felt evil. A lady crawled under the crowd to me & she said in a serious voice, as to help me escape, "just copy what they're saying". I knew that was Jesus answering me & he told me to get out of there. My family member told me we had to speak in tounges to be saved. I read more about it in the Bible & I prayed about it. If you can copy it, it is a chant memorized by people. An unknoqn spiritual language wouldn't sound the exact same for everyone. That's a chant. Praying to Jesus IS a spiritual language! Being able to naturally interpret & speak other foreign languages like the Bible speaks of without studying the language is obviously a gift but speaking to Jesus IS a spiritual language. PRAYER IS A SPIRITUAL LANGUAGE!!! Non believers do not pray to Jesus hence they don't speak God's spiritual language. Thank you Jesus for this confirmation! Speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift given by God to edify the church. For him a Christian to say Christians should not partake in what God says we should desire is just purely evil "1 Corinthians 14:2 2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit.'
@@sktgfk9229 he did not say that Christians should not do it at all, he's saying that it should be done in the appropriate biblical manner. I’ve been a believer a longgg time and have not received this gift. I think a whole lot of people that claim to are making it up like Allen did, for whatever reason. However, both my parents and my wife pray in tongues in their private life. It’s apparent to me that they’re genuinely connecting with God in an intimate way. When I overhear my wife in the nextroom tearfully praying in the spirit, there’s no doubt that it is genuine. Point being: just bc a gift is often misused or faked in many Christian circles today, doesn’t mean that it always is.
When I turned thirty a dear cousin prayed that I would receive the gift of speaking in tongues. She received it right away. For me it took, months of seeking the Lord and finally it came. I spoke in tongues and will continue to do so. God is with those who diligently seek him. Delight yourself in him and he will give you the desires of your heart.❤️
I was a sceptic when I was first born again in 2001 when I was a fresher at University. One night during prayer ,I was standing next to a Kenyan brother. After a while the brother started speaking in my native language. After prayer,I pulled him aside and asked him if he knew my language. He laughed it off and told me he was praying in the Spirit,I never doubted since.
I really believe that praying in the spirit doesn't always have to mean tongues. I'm such a bad speaker, like I can never articulate myself well. But there are sometimes when praying when everything comes out perfect, and I'm like, wow, I really feel like that was the Holy Spirit.
My current thoughts are that it's praying in the leading of the spirit, he reminds you of things to pray about. Of people, of situations etc. People have mixed three concepts into one 1. Praying in the spirit 2. Praying in tongues 3. The holy spirit interceding for us when we don't know what to pray with groans that cannot be uttered. The pastor tells them to speak in tongues by the leading of the spirit, They say they're praying in the spirit in an heavenly language that can't be understood because it's the holy spirit interceding for them so demons can't hear. For each point; 1. You would still be praying in your language 2. Tongues are human languages the gift is that you didn't know that language before 3. The holy spirit's intercession is said to be soundless groans... Why can we hear talking? The people who misunderstood this, have mixed them up!
I was not pressured into speaking in tongues but I received it as a gift from God and I am praying for the interpretation of tongues . It’s been a precious gift and I use tongues when directed too. I never sat under anyone one Saturday in my evangelism class my mouth began moving and there it was and I’ve been very comfortable with speaking in tongues and wasn’t forced into doing it but a Gift from God .
The unrecognizable tongues like what Parr did at the start of the video is straight up unbiblical. The REAL gift of tongues is supernatural and allows the speaker to speak in languages they never knew before for the purpose of spreading the gospel! See Peter's experience with it in the book of Acts.
Speaking in tongues is not only a gift (1 Corinthians 12:4 & v10), it is 1 of the 5 powers of miraculous signs and wonders of the Apostles (Mark 16:17). The only way a believer can perform the miraculous sign and wonder of speaking in tongues is by an Apostle (Acts 1:15-26) placing hands on you (Acts 19:6 & Acts 8:17) or by an Apostle speaking to you (Acts 10:44 & Acts 11:15). All the Apostles are dead (Acts 1:15-26) so the miraculous sign and wonder of speaking in tongues is non-existing along with the other 4 signs.

My experience is that I asked God to fill me with the Holy Spirit and He did. Several months later I asked for the gift of tongues. The Lord had me to pray with those on the prayer row. I did this twice. On the third time I began to speak in tongues. I had heard people speak in tongues before this, but I did not learn their prayer language. Why would I? I believed God would give me the gift, and also that would be insincere and I wanted to have a true fellowship with God. I do not get up before people and start speaking in tongues because I can not interpret and there is no interpreter. I do not believe tongues is a secret code between the speaker and God. I do not believe that the devil speaks in tongues because I've heard some say that he does. Even if the devil understands what I pray for he does not answer my prayers God does because I'm bought with the blood of my Savior Jesus Christ. There are times when I'm praying in the spirit and I'm joyful and exalting God then there are times when I'm doing spiritual warfare as the spirit of God gives me the utterance to do so. I pray in private because I don't need an interpreter and I feel a breaking forth and confirmation from God that something has been birth forth in the spirit realm. I had the same questions as you did at one time, but not any more. I do not believe that you have to speak in tongues to be saved. If you doubt what you are saying in tongues or if you believe you're doing it for acceptance then to me it's o.k. not to speak in tongues. Be at peace with what you do in the name of the Lord for the sake of being sincere knowing that there are babes in Christ watching and asking the same questions. The Holy Spirit is the one who will convict us of what is or isn't acceptable for each and every believer.🙏💕🔥
I have only spoken in tongues once in my life and it was brought forth by the holy spirit of God and it was not me moving my tongue and I had no idea what noises were coming from my mouth. Before I spoke in tongues I was praising Jesus in my room and I felt a bubbling in the stomach part of my spirit and it kept bubbling up until it hit my throat and I opened my mouth wide and I spoke in tongues for the first time and I was filled will the presence of God and it was supernaturally set up. Also the same time this happened I was seeking speaking in tongues that same year. I humbled my self and God showed me speaking in tongues is real and it is for today. It is a powerful tool but I have only done it once through God's tldivine timing. Speaking in languages/tongues does not mean praying in the spirit. And you said you started speaking in tongues, let me ask you: where you brabbeling and also, did someone interpret for you?
When I received the Holy Spirit, I desired to love the Lord as never before. Tongues gave me a powerfully way to express my love that went beyond my natural language. I have never stopped. 1 Cor 14:4
Speaking in tongues is a gift from God but not many people realise there are two types of tongues. One is a sign that comes when you believe in Christ, the other is gift that not everyone will have. Jesus said in Mark 16:17 (KJV) And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; The tongues that Jesus was talking about in Mark 16:17 are the ones mentioned in 1 Corinthians 14:2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. Also in . . 1 Corinthians 14:14 (NKJV) For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. Earlier I mentioned there was a second kind of tongue. These are the tongues most people are more likely to see as a miracle when spoken in front of someone you know. 1 Corinthians 12:28 (KJV) And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. The tongues spoken of above are the ones mentioned in Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. . . Acts 2:6-8 (NKJV) And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? “And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? Although, not every believer will speaks in these tongues as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? Both these scriptures in Mark and Corinthians are confirmed in 1 Corinthians 13:1 where it says, Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. The benefits of speaking in tongues Speaking in a different language without learning. Praying in our spirit and not from our mind. We bypass the brain and it’s limitations which can be a hindrance to communication with God. Speaking in tongues brings spiritual growth Jude 20 (NKJV) But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

You say there's no record of anyone speaking in tongues yes, but that doesn't mean they didn't use to speak in tongues for example Paul said he prayed in tongues more than any of them at that time 1 Corinthians 14:18 3. Speaking in tongues in church is discouraged because no-one would understand unless there is an interpreter. Paul doesn't say it's a sin but he says it may bring some confusion 1 Corinthians 14:6,7,23. However, the absence of an interpreter within the church setup does not stop a person from speaking in tongues in their personal prayer time 1 Corinthians 14:28 4. Tongues are a gift of the Holy Spirit just like teaching 1 Corinthians 12:10. So they should not be forbidden 1 Corinthians 14:39 5. Br Allen says he never saw anyone speaking in tongues in the NT and that's true, but does that mean the Holy Spirit did not give the gift of tongues and Apostle Paul was amiss in 1 Corinthians 12:10 according to Brother Allen?
To bad we don't hear what God is telling us through his John the baptist and his Son Jesus. Matt3:11I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.Act1:4On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.Acts19:2and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?” “John’s baptism,” they replied.Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. We should not only listen, but obey, like the apostles and men of old. Be baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues. Those who are obedient get the good stuff.
@@ViratSharma-uv4gg For my part, I have to agree with Allen. I, too, was pressured and taught how to 'speak in tongues.' But praying with the understanding is far more edifying, because you have to pray for wisdom to know how to pray. What is lawful for me, a worthless sinner, ask from the Most Holy One? Sometimes we must pray, "Lord, teach me how to pray." And when He brings to mind Scriptures that apply to our immediate, pressing needs, we learn more about ourselves and about God -- and about the Scriptures. True prayer with all the heart, mind, soul, and strength, is hard work!
Why do you suppose Jesus said: "These signs shall follow them that believe--in My name they shall cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues." Mark 16:17-18
I came from a Pentecostal background and remember the day two friends prayed with me to receive the Holy Spirit. They did coerce me to open my mouth and begin to speak in other tongues. I remember feeling like I made it up later, and therefore stopped speaking in tongues for about a year. One day during a worship service, I was so yielded to the presence of God, that tongues suddenly began to flow out of my mouth without me even attempting to do so. I never heard of anybody teaching someone to speak in tongues. There are a lot of abuses in the church when it comes to tongues. The teaching that we received back in the days was that there is the gift of tongues, that not everybody has, and then there is the prayer language, which everyone can have. I don’t personally believe that tongues is the only sign that a person is Spirit filled.
Sigh smh you don’t know what u are missing, pls keep praying In the spirit by your will and I promise you the Holy Spirit Himself will take it up from you…. If I may ask, have u ever tried to tarry in that secret place praying in tongues for at least 2 hours nonstop, and see what becomes of you? Some somethings won’t make sense until we experience them ourselves and I’m telling you praying in the spirit is one way to build your spirit man, increase discernment, sharpen your senses to hear God clearly, and just dwell in His shekinah… Food for thought; Tongues Beyond the Upper Room by Kenneth E Hagin 1 Corinthians 14:18 “I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all”
@@tobibabalola3143 - I read Hagin years ago, was coached in receiving "tongues", was also taught that it was THE fullness of the Spirit ( unlike non-tongues praying Christians ). What absolute non-biblical elitist BS. Such arrogance is an abomination. You don't know what YOU are missing in having such a myopic view of God, other gifts which non-tongues Believers have, and why do you elevate this gift in such an utterly one-dimensional way, as if the Spirit won't ( or can't? ) meet fellow brothers and sisters deep in contemplation ( or possibly a dream-trance ), yet you would frame it as they are NOT enjoying the fullness of the Spirit? As if we somehow must tack on "tongues" to make it THE ultimate? Come on, now. What might deeply shake your foundation of understanding here is that there are untold Spirit-filled Believers who don't speak nor pray in tongues. Who experience Glory. Maybe they're more of a mystical bent, and they aren't experiencing any less of God in communion sans tongues. For the sake of contrast: I knew a woman who actively prayed in tongues, got up early every morning to spend in prayer with God for an hour ( or maybe it was two ), and she was one of the more arrogant members of the community. Wow! I'll take no tongues and loving humility for a thousand, Alex. LoL Good for Paul that he was grateful for tongues. Good also of him to say we are not all receiving of it, and there are "higher" gifts. From my experience with Charismatics / Pentecostals, this is a side distraction, abused, made up, rarely authentic, and more evidence of Wishful Thinking and a fertile imagination. Division over this topic fueled by pride, from those who supposedly have "more" of the Spirit, is the height of hypocrisy. Who cares is someone speaks/prays in tongues, if they are Anti-God in their pride?
The first time i spoke in tongues was during my church's conference during this year and a guest pastor called all those who desired to speak in tongues to come to the front of the church so we'd all pray together , we were told to relax and open our mouths and pray . At first it was strange to just speak in tongues on command but after a short minute something suddenly hit me , i had a burning sensations around my chest and my stomach area and i started screaming words i couldn't understand while sobbing my eyes out , it felt like my soul knew what it was praying for even though my mouth couldn't process proper words, it was uncontrollable for me . I remember that I've always desired to speak in tongues but I'd also remind myself that if i had the gift then i had the gift and if i didn't then i didn't , there was no rush for me to speak in tongues cause i knew if it happened to me then it happened and there was nothing more I could do about it . At the end of it i believe that only the spirit can grant you such a gift because it's not something you can do on your own , cause i know for sure that i would never allow myself to speak/scream such odd words from the stsrt because I'd feel embarrassed but at that split moment i knew I wasn't speaking on my own .
@@j.chenmuas the verse you gave me is about those who don't have the spirit of God within them thus the antichrist , it's those spirits that don't acknowledge that Jesus Christ came in the flesh and they don't accept him as THE messiah . I know that it was the work of the holy spirit because my spirit alone accept that Jesus Christ is my lord and savior , I've confessed it with my mouth and with my spirit and I've opened up my heart to allow him to do his will for me
@j.chenmuas1449 Because Jesus said if your child asks for an egg, will you give him you a scorpion? If we know how to give good gifts, how much more will our Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask? If someone is a sincere believer seeking God thru Jesus Christ, we shouldn't be fearing the 'big bad devil' and all his evil spirits. We should fear God alone, seeking Him, trusting and believing Him that He will do what He says. If we are walking on egg shells afraid that when we are looking to our good heavenly Father that He would allow us to be filled with demons instead- what does that say about our faith in God? That He doesn't love us enough to protect us or keep us? Testing spirits by the Bible is just this. The gift of discernment is not a gift of suspicion, expecting evil lurking around every corner and being overly devil conscious. We need to be God conscious, "setting our eyes on things above and not on this earth" knowing "He keeps in perfect peace those whose mind is stayed on Him".
This is exactly why I don’t just make up sounds on my own because that is not of the Spirit. I’ve heard many testimonies like yours and I have not experienced that feeling at all except in a dream. I was praying about tongues and asking God about it. That night I dreamed that something like a vibrating force was going through my body from my feet up to my face and just as I was realizing what was happening I thought “I should open my mouth and let it out.” I woke up! I have not felt that again.
It was the same with me Allen. I was speaking “in tounges” for 4-5 years right after my conversion for the same reason as you did, than God gave me the wisdom to understand the truth and helped me to humble myself enough to accept that my initial beleif was false. I completely recovered from this and since than I don’t use this griberish at all. But what I struggle with is that I cannot convince my brothers and sisters who are practicing this for some decades or so. I think - honestly, according to my experience - this is because of ego and lack of humility. These people don’t want to accept that they’re not special and have no special and more intimate relationship with God than all the other people. The truth provokes them and cause cognitive dissonance what makes them deny the very basic and obvious statements of the Bible.
I never asked to be special…I didn’t even understood what speaking in tongues means till 2 days after my baptism …when it took me by surprise that I can do it. Really felt a release from my head at the back when it started flowing. Is been a month now…
Sometimes In my time with Jesus, the spirit of tongues just comes up without my intention! That’s GoD! No way am I stopping! No way! Blessings to you, A. Parr! I learned a lot from you. I appreciate you, but this one, I cannot accept.
He’s not saying to not speak in tongues… he’s saying people should stop pretending to by speaking gibberish they learned from others due to peer pressure… He’s explaining how it’s a God given gift, and not something you learn from a person or group of people. I’m not sure how anyone is confusing what he’s saying. He was very detailed in his explanation, and provided scripture to back up his claims… Well, it’s not really claims, it’s what the Bible shows us.
I am so glad that you figured that out on your own. There are so many churches right now, (charismatic mainly) that are coaching people on how to speak in tongues teaching them how to speak in tongues. You can't be taught tongues. It is a gift That only God can give you. ❤❤❤❤❤
@@keynat9755 I dont understand what you are saying....what I am saying from a pentacostal background oftentimes one is taking to a room to tarry for the Holy Ghost....they would start them saying JESUS over and over again...I saw that after a while they would enter into intercessory prayer right before receiving the Holy Ghost....so are saying you cant intercede without the Holy Ghost?
@@thort9ac That's not what I took from what she said. She said that you can do intercessory prayer for someone without speaking in tongues. I too was raised in the Pentecostal church and I wouldn't go back for nothing because it was cultish. I serve no religion I only serve my Father God above. The Bible plainly states not to pray with a lofty words and repetition And there was so much of that in the Pentecostal church.
I think he faked in the beginning because had he not been truthful you wouldn't have known it was fake. I didn't. Not everyone has that gift. God put it on his heart to reveal this because many people do this.
I’m pentecostal born again Christian and I believe in speaking in tongues. That’s not the only scripture that speaks on this subject, and Paul was addressing the Corinthian people that were missing using this spiritual gift.
For decades I asked people who speak in tounges what they said, the answer was I don't know. That's not a gift. So if everyone in the church speak English why would you not speak English?
Why do pentecostals seem to be the only denomination that HAS to associate everything spiritual with their denomination? God is a Spirit but He certainly isn't a denomination.
The only thing I dislike about people speaking in tongues is and is clearly stated in the bible if 2 or three are speaking in tongues there should be a interpretation. Period
If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God.” (1 Corinthians 14:27-28)
“But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God.” It’s ok to pray in tongue between you and God. In an assembly there should be an interpreter
I have a lot of good experiences while praying in tongues, so i'm gonna keep on using it specially when i felt uncomfortable and the spirit would lead me to speak in tongues in my room, just like what happened to my brother, one night i felt that somethings gonna happen but i don't know what it is so I pray in my room in my native language then suddenly i speak in tongues, moments later we got a call that my brother is in a motor accident, i believed that that mystery prayer intervened with that accident. and no one got seriously get hurt only scratch. God cannot answer our prayer if we don't pray for it.
I’m not discrediting your experience but to be fair a lot of unbelievers manifest “good” experiences through their own idol worshipping. The biggest question here is were/are you able to interpret what was coming out? If not, are how could you be so certain it God moving on your behalf based on what you prayed, more so than who He is?
@@joesmith5247It’s all about descrenmemt , believers KNOW when the toungues are coming straight from the lord , so if you have a doubt that your own toungues could be demonized then it is
Honest question. Why would you see someone praying in tongues in their private time. We BARELY, know what Jesus did in His private time. We also never see private tithing, or anything else that was in private. Not to mention, Paul put an instruction not to do this in front of people. So, why did this creator put such an emphasis on this point?
Brother Allen, if indeed your experience in praying in tongues was genuine and not making it up from the beginning, there is no way you can stop. Because the benefits of consistently praying in tongues are usually clearly evident from my experience: understanding of the the Word, love for Jesus Christ, the Word & Prayer, power to mortify the flesh, the passion to evangelize and such just increased exponentially! May God help you to go back to praying in the Spirit, and if you uave never done so, may He help you have a genuine experience on the same.
After viewing this video, I began to pray and I heard in my own spirit that when God gives you a gift, he does not take it away. This video is going to mislead so many people that I am shaking. There is the gift of tongue as well as prophecy, so what do we have to say about the prophets, are we to say, they are false, unreliable, unworthy of the calling? I would ask that anyone in doubt go back to Acts chapter 2:3 they saw (heavy emphasis on they) what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on EACH of them. ALL of THEM were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the SPIRIT enabled THEM. This is the NIV version, not sure how other versions read, however Paul speaking in 1st Corinthians which comes a few books down from Acts. Paul was speaking to a whole other group of people. He talked of his own experiences and was advising Yall better go read 1st Corinthians chapter 12 the ENTIRE passage and see the SPIRTUAL GIFTS that are given by the HOLY SPIRIT verse 10 says to some or another ( speaking in different TONGUES..A few comments up, a few people mentioned speaking in other languages that were understood. We are living in an hour that you have to TRUST GOD over everything, if you are not sure, have doubt go into PRAYER and ask the HOLY SPIRIT to guide you. Every man ( man or woman) are not given the same gifts.. He just happened to be in a church were multiple people shared it. At the day of Pentecost EACH one got it. WE CANNOT dictate or put limits on the POWER OF GOD and how he chooses to BLESS a worship experience or people. I just pray you'll see God on this one.
God wants us “sober” at all times in order to be vigilant when it comes to the devil. Being lost in a “spirit” is not of God, not of the Holy Spirit. That is demonic possession and intended to make a mockery of God in order to offend Him. God is about free will, intellect, discernment, and consciousness-not about being lost, drunk, giddy, high, and not even knowing what’s coming out of your own mouth. Yes, that’s the power of a spirit-an unclean spirit.
@@FV-le3ip Pleaase I caution you not to take what is a MISAPPLICATION of tongues by some and determine that this experience is not legit. @@SeerSeekingTruththen don't do it. When I pray in tongues I know it's not nonsense and so does God. When we pray in our human language we can talk nonsense too, the bible says we do not know how to pray as we ought but God makes sense of our words because He's actually listening to the sound of our heart. When my toddler speaks to me it sounds like nonsense. He'll ask me for wahgut but I know that means yoghurt because I know him. You think God cannot make sense of our utterances? Okay. “Love never fails. I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you. Just because you stopped speaking in tongues doesn't mean that it is wrong. Others will interpret scripture differently. Please choose a subject that edifies the whole body of Christ.
Why do you ask Allen to address only subjects that edify *the whole* of the body of Christ? Is it not okay for him to express a view that's different from your own? Should he stay silent on tongues just because his opinion differs from yours? Is there no room for diversity of opinion on certain issues? Is there even a subject or view that "edifies the *whole* of the body of Christ"? I'm really interested by this comment.
Totally. I studied and went back and forth, as I could see both sides' points. Then I tried it as personal prayer language for awhile. It FELT like a kind of emotional release, but I had doubts if it was a gift or I was just chasing a feeling. Finally, I had an ah-ha moment! SINGING is definitely scriptural w/o any doubt, so instead of gibberish tongues, I started singing little made-up songs to God. I get that same sort of emotional shift as I sing my heart out. I'm a terrible singer and my songs are silly, but I imagine God loves it at least as much as I do when I hear my son singing in the shower. Simple joy.
There have been times when I would be driving some place listening to Godly music and singing along when the Spirit would take my praise and worship to a new place. I remember one particular morning on my way to work just singing along with a praise and worship CD we I started praying in tongues about 3 miles down the road I can up on a really bad accident. I realized in my spirit I was praying for those folks well being at the same time realizing it could have been me. The FATHER intervenes in ways we don't understand or even have explanation for. We are told in Proverbs 3:5-6 lean not to our own understanding but in all of our ways acknowledge HIM. Does Satan try to counterfeit what YAHWEH does? Yes that is why we need the gift of discernment active in the body of Christ and in our personal lives!
Everybody has different experiences. You cannot base your faith or other people's faith on your personal experience. IE I have had three open Visions in my lifetime over 48 years in Christ. Nobody else seen the Visions they were personal. The same as the Apostle Paul he could not prove what he seen or experienced. But it allowed him a deeper Revelation and understanding of God and to equip him to complete the job he was commissioned to do
@@daysseasons6537 We agree to a point. I experienced a physical healing after a dream encounter before I was Christian. There is no scriptural support for that experience. It’s personal. However after I became a Christian, I strive to accord with the Bible to the best I can. That is why I went back and forth on tongues and ultimately decided to stop the practice. Can God do different things with all of us? Absolutely! Yet we also must check our experiences for contradictions against scripture. Some things are not super clear and that’s ok. I was sharing my own process of going back and forth on it.

He laughed at me and told me not to worry that I just received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gift in tongues. I pray in my Spanish language and in tongues in my prayer closed not in public. I enjoy your videos but we'll have to disagree on this one. In my walk with Christ I made a promise to myself that I won't limit God to my own understanding. When God answers to Job, that's basically what He's saying; don't limit me to your own understanding.

I did not grow up in a church that believed in tongues, but in my late 20's we started attending a church that holds a biblical view of the gifts of the Spirit. Maybe once or twice a year, someone will speak in tongues during a service. There has always been an interpretation provided by someone else. It is not like Allen described, where everyone is speaking in tongues out loud at the same time, or where the people who do speak in tongues are viewed as special or closer to God than the others. The first time I spoke in tongues, I was alone in my living room. I wasn't trying to mimic anyone or fake it. I was praying, and it was like a faucet was turned on, and all of the sudden, words were flowing out of me faster than I could have tried to come up with them on my own. I remember just laughing with joy and wonder. It is totally disconnected from my brain, though I can start and stop it at will. I can be doing math problems while I speak in tongues. I don't have to think about it at all. Prior to that, I had been asking God for this gift for many months. This was during a season when I felt like Satan was trying to tell me that I was not really a Christian. Giving me tongues felt like such a kindness from God. It is something I cannot explain, and now, if ever I have a whisper of doubt about whether or not God is real, I have something concrete to hold up as evidence to my own soul. I often feel led to pray in tongues under my breath during worship or during my normal (english) prayer times. I feel it "welling up" within me. I can also pray in tongues if I am feeling spiritually dry or dead. It seems to "awaken" my soul, and I feel the Holy Spirit closer. There have even been a few times where I have been praying in tongues and I think I've had the translation pop into my head (although I'm not sure if it is the translation). I am praying that God will give me that gift, too. Nevertheless, I have found personal tongues to be edifying, certainly. It is something strange and mysterious. I don't claim to understand it. I don't think anyone should be faking it or imitating tongues. I don't think it is what God wants from every believer (Like Paul says, "Do all speak in tongues?"). There are many gifts that I desire that I don't have. I think it is one of those strange things that reminds me that God is so much bigger than our human understanding, and so "other". He is holy; He is not like us. His ways are much higher than our ways. I am okay not understanding it.
I didn’t watch this video so I don’t know the context of what he’s saying but if his Reason 4 shows he doesn’t have peace while speaking in tongues then sometimes is wrong. It’s a Spritual act to edify our sprit. I will never go a against speaking in tongues, Apostle Paul encouraged us to do this! There are way too many benefits not to do it!
This is such a confusion issue, lol. I always thought that speaking in tongues was nonsensical. I even laughed in church on occasion when I observed someone exhibiting the gift. I stopped going to church for a long time, and started bible study with a new ministry to reconnect with God. We were studying the Holy Spirit and I read every passage I can find about him. Towards the end of the topic, I was in my room, alone, and I felt God's presence suddenly. I began to cry uncontrollably, I knelt down and I started apologizing for all of my sins. It was undeniable that I had an encounter. The first thought I had was the burning bush...and in that moment, I totally understood God's righteousness, and how truly sinful I was. In that moment, I felt a sensation that traveled to my mouth. When I spoke, I was speaking in tongues. I immediately called my pastor and instantaneously, we were speaking in tongues to each other. That was the moment I knew that the gift is real despite its abuse. I had never had another experience like that day, and to date, I only transition into tongues while praying to God (sometimes as lead to the Holy Spirit). I always ask God to take it away if it is not of Him....to date, that has not happened. I 100% believe in the gift. Unfortunately, it has been abused, which has lead to a lot of doubt and confusion on the topic. There are a plethora of circumstances in Scripture where God has commanded something that does not make sense to man, so I do not think that it not "making sense" is a sound reason to completely avoid it.
@@nomames7123 No. We have different gifts and speaking in tongues or having a supernatural encounter is not a requirement, nor will everyone have such an experience. It is completely up to God. You didn't take any Spanish classes before going on a missions trip to Spain? Well, I guess we need to forget missions language classes and only send those with the gift of tongues (languages) abroad as missionaries.
Thank you for posting this even though I am 6 months late! And THANK YOU for admonishing people to actually READ and study the word of God on this subject. So many Christians just want to have an “experience” around this and that is not what God desires for us. I believe that God can use this gift today if necessary and in context for why it was created (to spread the gospel), but that it is likely not needed and is a gift that has ceased- just as there are no longer apostles. When I was a young Christian i had friends who tried to coerce me into this… I tried to force myself to do this but knew it was not of God and I was actually convicted that I was sinning trying to force myself to speak in tongues . I sought the scriptures and found what you shared and even more … I feel the push towards this in the modern church is actually more evidence of how weak and biblically illiterate we have become. I say this with all love and respect for true believers who may disagree, but so many of the responses that I have read are not supported by scriptures. It’s not hard to see how even the elect will eventually be deceived as we get closer to the end times.
Well, im not uncomfortable with it. I have peace. If tis your story, thats cool. Love ya bruh. The joy of Christian fellowship, we can have varying opinions and still come together to glorify God and be sure Jesus is lifted.
Wow!
That's amazing thank you for sharing
Now this is the gift of tongues. Speaking in an actual language that can be understood by others.
Speaking in a trance that can’t be understood isn’t having the gift of tongues. Amen. Tks for sharing that. You should share that with more people. Bec people who are speaking in a trance that can’t be understood are speaking for God’s opposition. Trust yeshua!
That's awesome!
God bless!
but tell me honestly please: was your tongues blabbering sounds or what?
I never tried to mimic others, couldn't even if I tried to. I received the gift from God when I got Baptise in the Holy Spirit. For me I will keep praying in tongues.
Same!
I agree with you completely. I know what God did and I can't ever deny it. Maybe this guy is tainted by the Cessationists?
I don't think you were ever baptized with the Holy Spirit... you would never doubt it.
Why, do God not understand the English language..I asked people who speak in tounges what they said, the answer was I don't know. That's not a gift.
I hear similar stories too and about translocation.
THAT’S the gift of tongues as we see it in the Bible!
The most important point you made is when you said you started reading the Bible for yourself. We can’t recognize a counterfeit if we aren’t familiar with the real one in detail. It’s so crucial and valuable to be in a strong and sound Bible expository church!

But DO you?
Same experience. I had two experiences where I was at bible camp where I went forward for prayer to draw closer to Jesus. I spoke in some tongue I did not understand, I could not stifle it.
I don’t speak in tongues otherwise.
I was force at a young age to speak in tongues
Amen
The reason that I mainly think tongues is no longer a gift, is because no matter who I see speaking *tongues" or a personal prayer language, is because all of it is then exact same. I've never once heard anyone speak anything different than the person on their left "who also speaks tongues". If it's a personal prayer language, then why is it the exact same with no differential?

I was 17yo when I first spoke in tongues. I had a traumatic experience that cause me to pray really hard because I was so afraid and concerned about my soul. I was praying so hard and loud. Suddenly it turned to a language I couldn’t make out. Even others around me were shocked. Someone told me “You sound like my mom” But I didn’t care it was just me and God. I’m 29 now and never spoke in tongues since then. That’s an experience no one can EVER take away from me. I truly believe it’s something that is not forced. @@infiniteepoch8 that's what I see in the scripture as well. Just thought it was fun that Alan mentioned Japan as one of his examples and wanted to just give praise to God for grace to learn the language so quickly enough to be able to articulate the scriptures to the Japanese people. @@kw5021 definitely tried hard but received a TON of grace as I mentioned in my comment to be able to learn as quickly as I did. Very grateful. If you'd like, I could take all the credit, but that wouldn't make any sense. I can only take part of the credit. But definitely would like to give the glory to God's grace to be able to learn and various translation apps.
Don't discount when then Spirit makes groaning and ut
Amen!
As you just said it was Italian, with interpretation, not gibberish.
He’s not forbidding anyone from speaking in tongues. He’s saying people are pretending to speak in tongues, because of pressure…
Some are, but atalian? How many should understand in different languages?

as for me and my house we'll continue to speak in tongues. tongues are such a beautiful gift of the holy spirit why would anyone want to stop.
Praise God!!! I’m so glad you know the truth!!! The enemy has too many people deceived!
JESUS said in His Name would we do this and more - See Mark 16 17. People must seek God for understanding and He will reveal truth Amen.

Amen

You may have the gift of tongue speaking, but not everyone has the same gifts. 1 Corinthians 12. He was right to stop what he was doing, as it was fake.
I'm crying too right now. Speaking in touges should never be taught. I seen this in churches. The truth. Thank you

I agree w/Ure comment. It’s ironic to me that Allen’s book is titled MISLED bc I agree that this teaching could be misleading others concerning the Holy Spirit.
I have spoken in tongues once and believe that the Holy Spirit decides where and when and on whom He will fall.
However, I will seek God earnestly again to ask for a prayer language and I’m not doubting that it could happen, it just hasn’t since that one time. ❤
Tongues are a gift from the Holy Spirit. I always thought they were a bit weird when growing up and didn’t understand them when I heard them. When I received the Holy Spirit, I just started speaking in tongues at the same time. That week, I feel like I was speaking in all different languages.
Most people who have tongues aren’t mimicking and it’s a genuine spiritual gift. Don’t encourage people to stop speaking in them!

1 Corinthians 14:2

We see in this verse that speaking in tongues is a heavenly language.

Don’t stop believing in speaking in tongues because of your and others’ misunderstandings, misconceptions, and misuses surrounding it. Praying for you brother. You’re spot on a lot but for me, this ain’t one of them. I’m living proof it’s real and I hope to grow in the gift of tongues because I know God has more in store than the measure I’m operating in currently.
God bless you with a true and powerful experience in Him🙏🏼💞
I have never seen anyone who actually prays in tongues with the gibberish speak. Actually so anything profound with it.
Have you ever translated those unclear words to an unbeliever? Or does this only in the comfort of your church group who are all doing the same thing?
I agree with @stephanie
I agree with you. Amen.
Thanks for sharing.
Same here that’s why you have to read the word for ourselves

Sad that some people just do not have the right Spirit to discern, even after all the biblical teaching has been explained. Basing your faith on something that is your experiences, rather the clear teaching of the Word of God.
Your speaking and praying in tongues, is not in accordance to the Scriptures, but according to some erroneous teaching by false teachers.

Very well said. There is no edification without understanding. I have found that people who are emotionally driven or young that, really don't know the word are the ones who fall victim to this false teaching.
It’s beautiful to see so many people who recognize the power and gift of tongues especially in its context and proper use!
Yes!!! I was so pleased to see these positive comments and EXPERIENCES!!
Tongues is a beautiful gift but should not be glorified above the rest
For all those who believe in this non biblical doctrine of Baptism of the Holy with the evidence of Speaking in Tongues
You have fallen victim to the Apostasy that has been foretold in 1 Timothy 4:1
This doctrine of Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of Speaking in Tongues IS NOT THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
This is a man made new wind of doctrine created by Charles Fox Parham who was a Mason that began this false teaching in 1901 that glorifies tongues as the only evidence to recieve the power of the Holy Spirit, this was later developed into his own denomination called Pentecostalism.
The Truth is In the book of Acts there were some that received the Holy Spirit & spoke with tongues
Acts 10:44-46
and there were some that received the Holy Spirit & DID NOT SPEAK IN TONGUES
ACTS 8:15-17
Either way with or without Tongues they & we recieve the Holy Spirit
As Jesus Himself being filled with the Holy Spirit never prayed in tongues or spoke in tongues & promised us in John 7:37-39 that if we BELIEVE in Him we will recieve the Holy Spirit He never named Tongues as the "only" evidence
But He did name Spiritual Fruit as evidence in Matthew 7:20-22 & 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
And also As Jesus said in Acts 1:5 we are baptized with the Holy Spirit we become REGENERATED in the Spirit as it reads in
Titus 3:5-6 which says the moment we are saved we recieve the Holy Spirit in that self same moment & Ephesians 1:13 reveals the process of recieving the Holy Spirit
1. You heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ
2. You believed the message of Truth
3. Then you received the promised Holy Spirit
Simple as 1,2,3 After the grand entrance of the Holy Spirit from heaven on the day of Pentecost beyond that there is not one scripture when anyone has ever needed to tarry, wait, beg, cry, agonize or struggle to be filled with the Holy Spirit, as it was instant upon hearing & believing,
Before 1901 no one not Jesus nor the Apostles never taught such a false doctrine as Tongues being the only evidence of the Holy Spirit this doctrine was designed by devils & given to Charles Fox Parham to divide the church & cause many to fall from the faith of the True Gospel of Jesus Christ
@@lovefaith1714 I agree, mostly. Thanks for sharing. But I do believe it IS evidence, but I agree with you that it is not the ONLY evidence.

Like your friend, I started speaking in tongues on my own in prayer. Unlike her, I had already prayed several times for God to teach me how because I was learning from church that I wanted this unique 'prayer language.' I thought God answered my prayer when I gained the ability.

Absolutely 💯
Yes, my understanding, too.. agree
My current thoughts are that it's praying in the leading of the spirit, he reminds you of things to pray about. Of people, of situations etc.
People have mixed three concepts into one
1. Praying in the spirit
2. Praying in tongues
For each point;
1. You would still be praying in your language
2. Tongues are human languages the gift is that you didn't know that language before
3. The holy spirit's intercession is said to be soundless groans... Why can we hear talking?
The people who misunderstood this, have mixed them up!
This has happened to me before as well 😊
Same!

But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. [39] Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. [40] Let all things be done decently and in order.
Thank you friend. And thank you Holy Spirit for the gift of tongues! 🙏🏾🙌🏾🫶🏾
Jesus said in Mark 16:17 (KJV)
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
The tongues that Jesus was talking about in Mark 16:17 are the ones mentioned in 1 Corinthians 14:2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.
Also in . . 1 Corinthians 14:14 (NKJV)
For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.
Earlier I mentioned there was a second kind of tongue. These are the tongues most people are more likely to see as a miracle when spoken in front of someone you know.
1 Corinthians 12:28 (KJV)
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
The tongues spoken of above are the ones mentioned in Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. . .
Acts 2:6-8 (NKJV)
And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? “And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born?
Although, not every believer will speaks in these tongues as mentioned in
1 Corinthians 12:30
Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
Both these scriptures in Mark and Corinthians are confirmed in 1 Corinthians 13:1 where it says, Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
The benefits of speaking in tongues
Speaking in a different language without learning.
Praying in our spirit and not from our mind.
We bypass the brain and it’s limitations which can be a hindrance to communication with God.
Speaking in tongues brings spiritual growth

@@ahfortruth1482 The Christian jailed would be having an encounter but it would not contradict the Word of God if it was from God
Interesting since this whole video he elevates his reasoning above scriptures that tell us to pray in tongues lol
1.Tongues edify the spirit of the one praying in tongues 1 Corinthians 14:4
2. You say there's no record of anyone speaking in tongues yes, but that doesn't mean they didn't use to speak in tongues for example Paul said he prayed in tongues more than any of them at that time 1 Corinthians 14:18
3. Speaking in tongues in church is discouraged because no-one would understand unless there is an interpreter. Paul doesn't say it's a sin but he says it may bring some confusion 1 Corinthians 14:6,7,23. However, the absence of an interpreter within the church setup does not stop a person from speaking in tongues in their personal prayer time 1 Corinthians 14:28
4. Tongues are a gift of the Holy Spirit just like teaching 1 Corinthians 12:10. So they should not be forbidden 1 Corinthians 14:39
5. Br Allen says he never saw anyone speaking in tongues in the NT and that's true, but does that mean the Holy Spirit did not give the gift of tongues and Apostle Paul was amiss in 1 Corinthians 12:10 according to Brother Allen?
God hears all our prayers whether we speak in tongues or not❤. Praise the lord!!!
Tongues is the wisdom of God. In prayer..your prayers in understanding is your wisdom...not requured
Some somethings won’t make sense until we experience them ourselves and I’m telling you praying in the spirit is one way to build your spirit man, increase discernment, sharpen your senses to hear God clearly, and just dwell in His shekinah…

LoL
Good for Paul that he was grateful for tongues.

How do you know if its the work of the Holy spirit without testing the spirit? (1 John 4)

When my toddler speaks to me it sounds like nonsense. He'll ask me for wahgut but I know that means yoghurt because I know him. You think God cannot make sense of our utterances? Okay. But if you think praying in tongues doesn't please God, fine. Do not do it because your heart condemns you and therefore it is sin to you but don't be coming for anyone else and telling them that because it's actually not true and just your opinion.

“Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”

10:20 I don't know about secret code or whatever but in 1corinthians 14:2 it says "For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him;however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries"
That doesn't make any sense
I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you. Just because you stopped speaking in tongues doesn't mean that it is wrong. Others will interpret scripture differently. Please choose a subject that edifies the whole body of Christ.

Thank you.
Thank uuu
Holy Spirit taught me to sing in the Holy Language
Everybody has different experiences. You cannot base your faith or other people's faith on your personal experience. IE I have had three open Visions in my lifetime over 48 years in Christ. Nobody else seen the Visions they were personal. The same as the Apostle Paul he could not prove what he seen or experienced. But it allowed him a deeper Revelation and understanding of God and to equip him to complete the job he was commissioned to do
I do the same thing! Bless you sister, praise His Holy Name!
1 Corinthians 14:2 (NLT) For if you have the ability to speak in tongues, you will be talking only to God, since people won’t be able to understand you. You will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious.

My best friend who wasn't save, had an encounter with Jesus Christ and she became a Christian, one morning while praying the Lord told her that he will give her tounges...he told her her to sit down, cover her hair, put on decent clothing, and it came down from heaven and hit her like a ton of bricks....she started speaking in tongues , and is also able to understand everything that she says, but sometimes she speaks a language that she doesn't understand, she including myself will always speak in tounges because it came directly from our heavenly Father.... blessings to all
do you do it in church or do you do it in private?
Amen to that. Tongues is a gift given from the Holy Spirit. You can’t make it up

Dear Pastor Allen, I was one day in 1980 praying kneeling in front of the bed. I began praying in tongs. I stop and run to a friend and told him my experience and that I thought that I was going nuts. He laughed at me and told me not to worry that I just received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gift in tongues. I pray in my Spanish language and in tongues in my prayer closed not in public. Blessings
I enjoy your videos but we'll have to disagree on this one. In my walk with Christ I made a promise to myself that I won't limit God to my own understanding. When God answers to Job, that's basically what He's saying; don't limit me to your own understanding.

@@JERELLE_MULLINS which is so worrisome, why would he do that.
Your story is so similar to mine! Uncannily so. God is so good ❤
I pray Bro Parr and people that have had his same experience will be healed.
Super wonderful testimony!
do you think every Christian is going to experience this though
@@nomames7123 nope... it's a gift. Not everyone gets the same gift l believe. But the Holy Spirit one just have as a believer.
@@nomames7123 No. We have different gifts and speaking in tongues or having a supernatural encounter is not a requirement, nor will everyone have such an experience. It is completely up to God. Much more important than gifts are the fruits of the spirit. Gifts are irrelevant without a changed heart.
This is why it’s important to read, study, and live the word of God! 🙌🏽
May the Lord continue to use you brother Allen!
Who is the True and Sovereign God?
ANSWER -
According to what were written in Matthew 22: 37 and John 17: 3,
the Creator should be honored and respected by all human beings as the True and Sovereign God.
What is the worth, value, and importance of the Creator to Christianity, Atheism, and Religious Fanaticism?
ANSWER -
Nothing,
Atheists, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and fanatics of all kinds of Religions in the world
who are mocking, opposing, and degrading the Creator as worthless, useless, and undeserving to be honored and respected as the True and Sovereign God
just have to face the TRUTH about themselves...
that they will never be glorified in their make-believe and fairy tale Heaven nor tortured for eternity in their invented and fictitious Hell but just become worthless and useless dusts on earth forever after their natural deaths
What is the Creator's favor and reward for all his worshippers?
ANSWER -
The loving, kind, and merciful Creator's favor and reward for all his worshippers who submit to the authority of Jesus Christ and believe his teachings about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead" as written in Matthew 28: 18, Luke 4: 43, and John 11: 25, 26
is
ETERNAL LIFE and existence without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death on a safe and peaceful earth without liars, deceivers, slanderers, traitors, and murderers as written in Revelation 21: 3. 4, 8
How will worshippers of the Creator live and exist on earth forever if they just become worthless and useless dusts on earth after their deaths?
ANSWER -
All human beings have no immortal souls and will just become worthless and useless dusts on earth after their deaths just like the animals as written in Ecclesiastes 3: 19, 20 and 9: 5, 6
but
worshippers of the Creator who died recently and thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Job, Naomi, Ruth, King David, Jesus Christ's disciples and followers, and many others will not remain as worthless and useless dusts on earth forever, instead,
in the Creator's own right time and as written in John 11: 25, 26
Jesus Christ will RESURRECT them back to life so they can all happily and abundantly live and exist on earth forever as submissive and obedient subjects of the "KINGDOM of GOD"
and fully enjoy the eternal love, kindness, goodness, compassions, generosities, favors, and blessings of the Creator and his Christ for eternity under the loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ as the Creator's Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth as written in Revelation 11: 15.

On a 15-day mission trip to Spain, God gave me the gift of tongues in Spanish. By the end of the first week I was speaking and thinking in Spanish. When I returned home to America I no longer had the gift of Spanish; cld only speak my native English.
The church had prayed for me the entire time I was gone.
Wow!!!
You didn't take any Spanish classes before going on a missions trip to Spain? Well, I guess we need to forget missions language classes and only send those with the gift of tongues (languages) abroad as missionaries.
This is what speaking in tongues means. Not gibberish.
