I am a fan of world timers. Slightly more than a year ago, I was researching quite a bit about it as I was in the market for one. After some considerations, I shortlisted to the FC and MB world timer. All ready to buy, and tried them both in a shop but left empty handed. The FC was too complicated and the MB looks really big (I have small wrists). As I left disappointed, I past another shop that has the Longines world timer. It was a love at first sight. It reads well, beautifully cased with a simple face, available in 38.5mm (quite rare for world timer) and at half the price of my initial choices. Been using it for a year plus, it dresses well and has the simple elegance factor. Still very much in love with it. :)
You probably dont care but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of days xD
In 1968 I was in the Air Force, I purchased a Seiko World Time in in a PX in South East Asia. I loved loved that watch. I wore it until it stopped working. I wish I still had it. Great Video!
Great story. I have an old Orient World Timer...got it ~11 years ago. Discontinued. Might upgrade in the future, though it works well and is a great travel watch.
I know this one is definitely over 5k, but the JLC Geophysic Worldtimer in steel is also a great value used. Especially compared to its competition. JLC is a top notch manufacture
The Breitling Galactic Unitime Sleek T is a worldtime with in house movement, can be had under 4K and is the only worldtime I know that adjusts the various time zones for daylight savings time in the different zones.
Federico, LOVE your channel. Keep doing what you do. I have always loved watches and finally at a point in life where I can start collecting quality timepieces. So difficult to find good info on pieces between 1-5K and you have been spot on leading inspiration and broadening my horizons on what is out there. Just picked up a Titanium Oris Aquis to add to the collection and will be adding a world time watch to the hit list.
Hi Fed, From the UK. Just a humble recommendation if you want to push the price up a little for your World Timer I can fully recommend the Girard Perregaux 47900 wwtc the one with the single crown, which I love so much and am lucky enough to own, and its not just for travel I find any excuse to wear it. Love your content and really enjoy the pairing videos with J P more please.
I'll throw my 2 cents in and suggest the Ball Engineer Master II World Time. Sure its big and chunky, but a 300m dive watch with tritium and the world time complication makes it a really neat option for an adventuring traveler
I really appreciated this segment because one day, plan on buying either a world timer or GMT watch. I wasn't aware of some of the brands that you've mentioned. Here are a couple that I've researched but you guys might not of heard of because I only know of one dealer in the US that carries them. One is made Orient Star. Orient is one of the largest mechanical watch movement makers in Asia and has been for quite a while. An Orient Star was the first watch that I've bought in the $500+ segment of the market. It is a Japan only watch that I bought from a seller in Japan. There is one with the world time complication that has just the airport codes on the world time dial. Since I used to work for an airline and also for a luxury hotel brand that one resonates with me. If there is a Swiss watch brand like that please let us know. It would definitely be on my list. FYI, Orient Watch was bought by Seiko in 2014. Since that happened, I've noticed that some of the Orient Star models have become harder and harder to find and probably only surface as NOS or second hand watches with a full automatic movement with the Orient Star brand. I may be wrong about that. But my Orient star watch is a well made watch. I don't think that I will sell it. it's what I can afford right now. I'd rather not go there as far as the Japanese vs. Swiss discussions. I guess that I'm an aspiring to own a Swiss watch type, preferably a GMT or world timer. I really like the Longines and Sinn watches that you've talked about, especially the ETA movement models. BTW, how do they make a world timer with an ETA movement? I know I'ma geek lol
Amazing video as always, I’m toying with the Mont Blanc as a present to myself. Not sure my wrist size would make it wear too big. Have you seen the new Farer world time watches? Would love to hear your thoughts on them as a brand. Can’t find any videos online so have only read written reviews.
This is the one I love the most (ref. 4980). Quality, finishing, looks and even titanium case. It is the ultimate WT that can be found for under 5000$.
There are some GP WWTC references done in partnership with Ferrari, etc. that are selling for much less than the Shadow. IMO the Ferrari themed GP WWTC’s bombed relative to the WWTC line.
I thought the Baume et Mercier Capeland Worldtimer would make the list. I was looking to pick up a quality pre owned. What do you think of that watch Federico?
Thank you for another great video Fed. I know it was just a throw away comment but I didn't know FC had two tiers to their watches and was thinking of getting one of the ones I have seen "on sale". You saved me - Thank you :)
What are the old ebel voyager models like. Came across them while looking at relatively affordable world timers and can't find much info. Not really looking to buy one just interested in what their general quality is.
Fed, thanks for an enjoyable and informative video as always. A bit lower end than the watches you discussed here, but do you have an opinion on the Hamilton Jazzmaster world time models? I believe they use ETA movements.
What are the odds this vid came out now?? I'm considering the Breitling Navitimer 8 Unitime. It is way over the 5k budget limit but what are your thoughts Fed? I'm also a big world time watch fan. (long time viewer first time commenter on this channel btw)
I am going to Glashütte on thursday as they are a customer. The company i work for sells chemicals they use for cleaning processes while manufacturing.
Best value for money? Orient Star WZ0021JC, WZ0011JC, WZ0031JC (the more elegant and unfortunately discontinued): Power Reserve, in house caliber, understated World Time complication, date, 41mm around $ 1000 or less. A watch to enjoy. I own the WZ0031JC cannot be happier.
Thankyou . Really interesting 👍🏻👍🏻But I’m gonna start to hate you soon lol 🤣🤣never considered world timer before but now just about to google Mont Blanc and Longines . Oh well at least Visa will like you ... great job please keep it up 👍🏻

I want the Tissot Navigator Worldtimer. I’ll be saving for a long while !
Fed I'm digging your style today man you're on point. Cool list I've never given a world timer much thought always relied on a GMT in my travels.
Thank you sir! You should give it a thought, very interesting pieces
I agree. I could go with almost any of those watches you've chosen.
You probably dont care but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of days xD
@Legend Mitchell yup, been watching on InstaFlixxer for years myself =)
FED- Whenever you make a great video like this, it really makes my day!!!

I have the the same world time clock at the back ground. Seiko forever 🎉🎉
Second hand JLC Master Geographic can be had for around £3500. amazing watch.

I bought the MB Orbis Terrarum because of you.
James Wong ditto
How do you like it?

Did you mean the 49700?
@@jimsy5530 yes you are right, I did mean 49700 Thanks.
Fed, thanks for this video. I was looking for a worldtimer and took your recommendation and bought a Wempe.
Great review Federico! 👍
Thanks Roberto!
The nomos is 40mm did they ever make it in 42?
I'll throw my 2 cents in and suggest the Ball Engineer Master II World Time. Sure its big and chunky, but a 300m dive watch with tritium and the world time complication makes it a really neat option for an adventuring traveler
Great review. I've been eyeing that FC for a while. Hopefully soon. Thanks for great content.
Federico can you talk about the Montblanc Geosphere??? It's a beautiful looking watch, but I would appreciate your 2 cents.
I have Longines conquest VHP GMT, amazing reliable tool and looker
Federico can you review te Montblanc 1858 Geosphere?
Wempe is an incredible watch maker. Priced great too.
First✌️fed your looking awesome 🔥
Thanks so much sam :)
Federico Talks Watches your welcome 🙏
Sam Smith It’s the “Benz Effect” doing that to him ;-)
Looking like a diabetes is poster you mean

Great Video!!
Thank you Joe!
Fed, great video! Is it possible to adjust for savings time with a world timer?
Hey Federico, can you make a video on your thoughts about Linjer?
Amazing video as always, I’m toying with the Mont Blanc as a present to myself. Not sure my wrist size would make it wear too big. Have you seen the new Farer world time watches? Would love to hear your thoughts on them as a brand. Can’t find any videos online so have only read written reviews.
Everyday I am becoming more of a German watch fan! I really like their design and engineering.
Wempe is now in my list... Love it, CHEERS KNUCKLE HEAD💪💪💪✌
The World Timer complication is my favorite! Surprised that you did not mention the GP WW.TC though it it may be out of the price range....Saluti
One of mine too!
David Williams Agree, I have the GP WWTC Shadow, I paid about $8g’s new which I thought was a very very good deal.
@@JoeGiz64 There some versions available for less than this threshold price....

Even their higher end models can be had at significant discount on the grey market, just double check before you buy. They have some great designs
Great review. Could you please do some chopard racing watch review? Tks
What's the difference between a GMT and a world time complication?
Nice shirt, Fed 👌🏼
Fed, what do you think about the Girard Perregaux World Timer?
I love em! Great watches.
Sam Lowrey Great watch I have the WWTC Shadow and love it. Nice piece from a VERY underrated brand.
Is the Wempe a true world timer or is it simply a GMT?
There is also the Hamilton jazzmaster worldtimer which is also a gmt
where'd you get that rolex wall clock?
What are the odds this vid came out now?? I'm considering the Breitling Navitimer 8 Unitime. It is way over the 5k budget limit but what are your thoughts Fed? I'm also a big world time watch fan. (long time viewer first time commenter on this channel btw)
Good One Fed! Lookin sharp Too!
Fed what's up with the Submariner Clock not moving?
done on purposes.
A world timer is not for me, but loving the e type poster. Oh yeah and the shirt, what's next clean shaven wearing contact lenses? He he 😆
I am going to Glashütte on thursday as they are a customer. The company i work for sells chemicals they use for cleaning processes while manufacturing.
The Montblanc is Sellita based with in-house module, instead of ETA

Surprised the Ball Trainmaster Worldtime did not make list
Montblanc Star World Time 👍🏻
You forgot the Casio World Time AE1200 “Casio Royal”
We're missing the Casio AE1200 here.
Nice shirt
Isn't the Nomos 40 mm ?
Im sorry, its a little bit awkword to ask.....but what means chronometer certifiet?
Only timepieces certified by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) with an average daily rate criteria of -4/+6 seconds
Thankyou . Really interesting 👍🏻👍🏻But I’m gonna start to hate you soon lol 🤣🤣never considered world timer before but now just about to google Mont Blanc and Longines . Oh well at least Visa will like you ...
great job please keep it up 👍🏻
hahahaha
No Brooks Brothers polo shirt today? I am disappointed.
I hate to be that guy, but the Nomos is actually a 39.9mm case. 👌
What do you think about sevenfridays?
Nomos needs a date
The FC globe view from the side vs northern hemisphere is jarring.
GMT OK, World timer ..don't think so.
