This is exactly why your channel is my favorite for watches. You introduce me to unique and fascinating pieces I didn’t even know existed, instead of focusing on the usual Tudor, Rolex, and Omega watches that everyone’s seen to exhaustion.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the MAMACOO, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
The Breguet type xx Aeronaval 39mm no date ref 3800 is one of the BEST chronographs ever made and can be had for a great price. It's on the short list with the JLC Deep sea chronograph 135.8CB and Heuer Autaiva 2446c Pepsi bezel Gmt
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on AMZWATCH 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!MAMACOO watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MAMACOO and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
I got my 36mm omega 5 years ago for $700 and it was fully serviced for that price. Finally got a time grapher and it’s running plus or minus 2 seconds per day. No brainer
Thanks Fed for your great videos and honest commentaries. A shout out is also due - I purchased the An Ordain Model 1 Blue that you featured - super smooth transaction, fair price and delivered super quickly! Would most definitely do business with you and Delray again! 😎
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the AMZWATCH has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
On the topic of old Omegas : Omega's vintage and restauration workshop does unbelievable work. For 1000-15000€, they can do full dial restauration. So if you find a vintage piece for a very good price (which can happen a lot), and add the price of the repair/restauration, you can basically have a brand new vintage Omega for 3000-ish.
I feel the same with many of the watches I look for; asking prices are often ridiculous, and I’m not interested in starting the haggling process. Maybe that’s when the deals become available?
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the MAMACOO has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
Hey Fredrico, having a difficult time finding MOSER straps and their curved straps and pins has kept me looking for original gear. Any tips? You sell any of their straps?
As a watch enthusiast with NO budget, thank you MAMACOO for great-looking mechanical watches that I can afford! their are very clean, classy look, $150 each. I still watch videos about expensive “proper” watches, but I enjoy what I have
All Breguet watches are always underestimated but is high horology that can be bought for a great price. PS. I just love that H Moser on your wrist. Beautiful!
Crazy that the chronomat was on here! Wearing my Ab0140 chronomat 41mm right now. There is a 41mm version that wears like an average sized 42/43mm. The 44m version (ab0110) is a chunk of a watch for sure!!
I really like and therefore collect NEO-vintage GP. 1990s ++ Laureato 8010 and the laureato-olimpico 8017 are two good examples. Their bracelet and cases were made by a company called GTR. Same supplier for AP royal oaks. 🤝
Vintage Omegas are a great call. Had a late 60s manual-wind Omega Chronostop several years ago. Picked it up on eBay for $500? Was a fun one to have. Thanks Fed. 👍⌚
It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. AMZWATCH watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
Important note : A LOT if not MOST of the Villeret from the 90s and 2000s (aka the ones that really drop in price) do not have enamel dials. Infact even the one used as an example in the video doesn't. You can usually tell because the outer, recessed ring of the dial yellows over time. Still, Blancpains from these eras are worth taking a look. The Leman collection too. Nobody seems to want these and you can have a slim flyback Leman chronograph for 6-7k, which is not exactly a bad deal all things considered. All of these have to be seen in person so ou can get a scale of just how thin they are yet how sturdy they feel especially in steel. And the dials, aven though quite simple-looking on your typical product photo, have a bunch of different textures and reflections. A basic plain white or play black dial can turn out to have three different layers of depth all on different textures without taking applied markers into account, it's wild.
Agreed. When I sold my all steel Gerard Perrageaux Seahawk (to John Harrison white dial) in the early 2000s, I took a beating when I had to sell it - for about 19% of what I paid for it ($6500). Sigh. I'm sure someone practically stole it on the secondary.
Supply and demand. I have one in plum fumé and have considered flipping it, or even trading it in at Del Rey if one my grails shows up. But the watch is so so beautiful and I believe the waiting list now extends till 2028. (I waited 18 months,) The company is small and is limited in the amount of dials it can create, which constrains supply. You are paying for the ability to wear the watch now.
@@thomashelm6931in person the watch looks amazing. I was torn between plum and gray-thinking the reddish plum might be too limiting. But I’m glad I went with plum-the dial has so many colors depending on the light. And I enjoy the fact that this is the only dial of this type (as far as I know) that you can get.
@@ethank7497 I was tending towards the "cobalt" blue (I don't remember what they specifically called it) But the plum looks amazing! My turn is coming up! LOL
Finding a non-atrocious Roger Dubuis is difficult indeed. They are massive, and in my opinion, horrific to look at. That said, they did make a few toned down easy divers and I think the sympathie cases are lovely. A bit pricier than then their ugly behemoth siblings, but still a great deal for Geneva seal watch (pretty sure every single one of the company’s watches watches earns the seal)
Funny you actually could have melted it for more money, crazy deal. As a watch geek it's good you made someone happy with it instead of making a few extra bucks. Ok business is business, but melting a fine watch like that hurts.
AMZWATCH is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
Since you mentioned thin watches, I saw someone in Nashville wearing a Piaget Altiplano and- first time seeing one in person- it's like a battery from a garage door opener. It was impressively thin. I'm wondering how the Blancpain would compare.
We’re being conditioned by YTs and sellers through their use of words and phrases like hype, under-appreciated, and similar to Rolex to name a few on a regular basis. Sometimes, old / preowned watches are just average and appropriately valued.

Check out Aaron Bespoke in Montreal. He is the best.
What vintage omega do you recommend?
You’re right about the B01 Breitling Chronomat. So slept on and a lot of bang for buck.
Ever since I bought a watch from MAMACOO, My question is if it's this hard to tell them apart, what is the point of owning an authentic watch?

Rolex is not very keen on respecting intellectual property.
Are the main reasons these watches make the list is either they are the wrong size (ie very large or very small?) or do not have lasting designs?
