I went to buy breitling and went for this one . Such a lovely a unique piece. In my work space, many were wearing tudor and breitling and wearing this one, i was instantly noticed .
Fell in love with this watch but now can’t help but notice how redundant the dial is for the unnecessarily large date wheel which actually covers 5 hours of the 24 hour world timer wheel. Am I missing something or is that a clear design flaw?
My wife just got me this for our anniversary. Love it! Some funkiness with timezones though.... example: in July, Los Angeles 10am reads as 8am in Hawaii. Should be 7am. Why is this? A problem with daylight savings time? Confusing, as many other timezones are correct. Ideas? Help.
@@EqualsDeath Thanks. I think you meant to write "Hawaii for half of the time is 3 hours, the other half it's 2", right? If so, then yes, my guess is correct that this is a daylight savings time problem. Since Hawaii doesn't observe DST, I'll just have to wait till November 7th :)
@@grosenberg68 yeap. plus, for a week / 2 weeks every year all of your europe's timezones will be confusing because we spring forward and fall back on the last Sunday of march/November when in the US it's the second Sunday of march and the first of November
How is your shop working?! You're a very, very nice person, I've learned a lot from you about watches, Clevelanders must be proud of you. You know what, Chinese make also wonderful watches, including mechanical and automatic, it's cheap but not very cheap, some of them have very beautiful design, but I have no idea about their durability, it should be tested, if you don't test you never know.
The dark side to this watch is you can buy them new right now for 50% off (which can be good or bad). But I assume you should be careful about how much you pay for it and plan on keeping it once you buy it.
I think he was referring to 2009, which was prior to them being acquired by Citizen. That was the year the inhouse caliber world timer was launched. So at that time they were independent.
I like this company. If I was to buy a watch away from my vintage Omega watches. I would definitely consider this company. I am really not interested in my watches doing anything other than telling time. I have my iPhone on my side which can do all the tricks. I am from a generation used to wearing a watch. So nothing on the watch but the time. I read time very fast this way.
It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. MAMACOO watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
i really dislike worldtime in the bezel/chapter ring. many of these places have day light savings which render the watch useless for half a year every year. so if you are only after the worldtime looks, by all means go for it. if you want a tool watch that tracks other time zones, get a watch with a gmt hand.
@@moa8247 i can. but apparently you can't mentally figure out what i'm saying. by your funny logic, watches should pring 2 to 13 or -1 to 11 on the dial instead of 1 - 12. because "You can’t mentally figure out an hour or two difference"? lmao. some brains do be smooth. in case the satire went over your head, me point is, you don't print wrong info on the dial. it's stupid. not unlike you.
The selection of cities clearly indicates that it’s produced rather for Arab markets than European ones. That’s why I bought JLC Master Control Geographic. At least it has Athens and Moscow instead of Cairo and Riyadh.
Apologies for my cynicism. All of teh watch reviews are only laser focused on the watch size and small wrist and if it looks good. Why does no one except a few, your channel included, talk about the movement or the water resistance or why the watches are only available in leather or rubber. And zero information on websites if the watch can be used in the vicinity of humidity or real world applications.
Nice dial, but way too big for this piece.....looks terrible on the wrist at this size but 40 max would have made it much more aesthetically pleasing....39 even better in my opinion and 46 L to L,but a lovely looking watch which is basically a dress watch without real GMT functionality......saying all that...I still like it.
