What did you all think about this watercolor moody nature painting?

Loved it ! Set a perfect mood. Could picture myself in the foreground under those pines with a nice fire going.

I love how you are willing to share your fears and disappointments as a normal part of painting. It's inspirational.

Ty for saying not to just focus on the right color! That’s what gets me stuck & just slowly add more of same pigment or add tad black!

Colors don't matter as much as technique does :)

I really like it, the softness of it.
Turned around it looks like a large pine tree with a white line down the middle, lol.
It’s hard to make a misty scene but you got it!!

Very nice! I agree about not worrying about the colors! It's all about the soft effect and lights and darks!

Julia, I love your videos. You share your thoughts with us as you go along and I find that helpful…even when you’re not sure what you want to do. This painting has inspired me to get back at it as I am in a bit of a painting slump! Thank you!

That must be some really good quality watercolor paper to accept all the water and allow you to lighten up the middle so many times. Arches maybe? I’m enjoying your laid back approach to painting and appreciate you explaining what you are thinking and doing! I’m not even painting at the moment but am still learning by listening to you while you paint! Thank so much! 🥰

How do you mix your colors? What colors to you mostly use? I signed up to your Patreon account and was told it was $5 per month but when I look at your Page it says $12 per month. Could you please clear that up for me? I just wasn't sure how to reach you

I mix my colors on a metal palette - the colors vary on the painting! I've replied on patreon to your other question.

Julia, where do you get 100% cotton paper. The links you have aren't cotton.
