Thank you to Hand built cars for approaching me and taking the time to do the video and a massive thank you to all the great comments it makes building a car worth every minute and penny spent.Huge amount of respect to you all
Really inspiring video. This just to show that with great care and love, even older car would still look stunning and amazing. Happy New Year everyone!
The metal fab alone is astronomical, to see the final results must be intensely satisfying, car restoration especially in one's garage truly is a labor of love.
I miss my -72 2000 Touring. It was in BMW Inka colour. The spline from the gearbox to the driveshaft went once and I got a 2nd hand revised broken gearbox and replaced the broken shaft with the newer one. One of the coolest cars I have ever had and owned it from 1984-2005 when it was sold but scrapped by the new owner. Was rubbish in snow but with 10-15kg in the boot it made huge difference. You have done an amazing job with your touring.
What a beautiful build. Drove a modified 2002 from a friend back in 1980, it was a dangerous beast. The amount of fuel it used was insane, even for those days. But you could not drive it without having a big smile.
It was lethal if you didn't know how to drive one. Very few would be able to drive one of these as any mistake would punish you one way or another. The Touring was also shorter than a normal 02 but also lighter which did not help on wet roads. Yet I loved mine and the folding seats had a very simple and easy way to fold it flat.
What an accomplishment! Respect your elders literally. This mans drive to create the dream really inspires me. I hope i can meet him and his work of art some day. This is living proof that anything is possible when you really want it!
If I had all the money in the world I would just buy and restore old cars. Something about taking car of these beauties that's so satisfying. And as time goes by your collection just becomes even more unique.

beautiful! i drove bimmers for 35yrs. & the '70 2002 was one of my favorites; very lowered, cams, header and dual 2-bbl weber sidedrafts. i added Tii brakes, a/c and a way overdone stereo w/subs. incredible driving fun but it looked nothing like this stallion. thank you for posting this!
With out doubt the best looking 2002 I’ve seen and I’ve worked for Bmw for 30 years , love the colour and the bumperless look ,the attention to detail is amazing!!!
Good afternoon and Happy New Year to you and your family. That paint work is just beautiful. Really great shine and texture. I really enjoy the metal work and repair. Thanks again and take care and good luck.
Awesome ride, I spent 3 years restoring my 2002 coupe so I really appreciate the effort you’ve gone to, I wish that I ditched the M10 with the 4 speed, it was fantastic on drives under 80km/hr, but at 130km/h on the freeway it was screaming and wild, the grey paint is spot on and so is the bodywork… go for the Honda motor it seems like the best choice
Great job in beautiful 2002! Question: Which has the best aerodynamic the Touring or the saloon? Has the Touring a lower roof line? Has the Touring a more racked wind screen?
Beautiful build! I always lean more towards restoring to original, but this really speaks to me. I really like the seats, anyone know what type? I’ve rewound quite a few times, but can’t make out what is said.
Beautiful detailed old Beemer, amazing colour combination, and thank God you didn’t go all Turbo bonkers with the engine. Amazing craftsmanship 👍💪 Grtz Bob 🇧🇪
What a beauty...just great...regarding the engine hopefully he won't go with a honda engine...think a bmw would suit it better,e30 or e36 318is would be nice,still a 4pot
The back end is butt ugly but it’s a 2002,and well I love BMW’s from this era. I’ve never seen a Touring before, they didn’t import them to the US. Amazing restoration. You sir are a magician! Beautiful job!👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Lovely job with this rebuild, where did you get the BMW badges from? Was hoping to find the information regarding where parts came from here below the video.

2092 never came with 4 headlights grills. This is a frankensteined bmw.
I love how honest the owner is. Really truly an amazing build

@@VinDieselS70 what was lethal about it? Stock power levels don't seem crazy and it was a balanced chassis.. thus its success in racing
2002 are AWESOME and your Car is a piece of Art!

Beautiful car. The front arch extensions are the only detail that could be better. A cool build!
Very nice job! You don't see a thing in your mirrors, because they are jdm fender mirrors 😀
I have one of these in my workshop, it will be restored in a couple of years time. Mine won’t be this cool, but definitely inspired by this video 👍
Beautiful build! I always lean more towards restoring to original, but this really speaks to me.

Very very very nice car. Great work 👍
Ooh going modern and not being German, my guess is, it could be a engine swap, may be Japanese, k20 engine from Honda or 2jz engine
Gawd blimee guvna one sweet mowta.

Just lovely
Kudos, stay thirsty my friend. It is your recreation, built it to your driver satisfaction.
Lovely job with this rebuild, where did you get the BMW badges from?
Was hoping to find the information regarding where parts came from here below the video.
Does anyone know any details about the sunroof or I missed something in the video?
The M10B18 in E30 has a lot of 5 speeds that bolt up right on. You don't have to stay with the 4 speed
