I remember watching the Hyde Park cars racing at Phoenix in the early 70’s. The cars were always dirty and generally looked unkempt. I recall seeing the spark plug wires sporting electrical tape! Competitor cars were shiny and polished. The BMW’s never spent much time on practicing, perhaps to save wear on the cars. When it was time to qualify, they had one set of spark plugs to start the car and warm up the engine. Then switch over to the race plugs and qualify. The BMW’s were always fast and won a quite a few races.
“They would pay hippies to paint the letters” that’s awesome lol. This car is perfect! 2002 is my dream car ✌️
I was a "pride" owner of the #35 Hyde Park 2002 BMW 🇵🇷💯🏁
I had a ‘72 same color orange. Such a fun car
