The shorter version that all car no talk 😂
ruclips.net/video/JT-1RcB9u1Y/видео.htmlsi=4_lXCu2cLpesw8v8
Absolutely sick car my guy! THE ONLY thing I would say would make it just a wee bit better would be suicide rear doors!....Oh and "suicide(?)" trunk/boot lid to match the hood/bonnet because... well because you can!
I really like the talk. So much love for the car in it.
If I had a lottery win I would commission cars like this instead of buying new ones.
Absolutely
Count me in for so many reasons.
Same here. Too bad that people that have money all do the same things. Nothing original.
Same same
This is absolutely stunning, the attention to detail is so on point
Love it
Sensational in every way, just beautiful.
That looks pure sinister gangster! The kind of stunning looking car that would appeal to pretty much anyone due to those classic looks.
this car is sick as fooook man i love it wish it was mine
It's fantastic.
What a beaut!
The boss of Jaguar at the time it was sold to Ford said that there was a saying at Jaguar that you had the sausage and the sizzle, and when the boss of Ford complained that they had paid 4 times the going rate for Jaguar, he replied “ you bought a billion pounds worth of Sausages and 3 billion pounds worth of sizzle “ he then said “the only problem with Ford is, that the only make sausages and in hindsight, BMW probably would have been a better option”
Definitely not for the purists but also not the common sensist! Surely the Jag V8 is more reliable than the BMW V8?
It looks lovely though, definitely what I would do asthetically to one if I had the money and time.
I'd consider a BMW engine too, but I'd have gone for the solid N55!
I think this depends on perspective,This isn't a m62 v8 it's an m60,it's probably one of the most dependable engines bmw have ever made, duplex timing chains ,no vanos system, the only known issues with the m60 is timing guid failure at higher miles, but tbf jaguar haven't been able to design a timing chain correctly on any of there own engines that came after the inline 6 aj16
@@keltecleeds good point! I wouldn't say anywhere near dependable as the N55 tho.
I would have to agree to disagree on that one mate
Honestly it seems like both german and brits build questionable engines. People go on about German Engineering™, which is just extra complicated steps to break. When they work, they work, when they don't...
To bad that there is virtually no footage of the jaguar driving on the road
That is what we all want to see
Done proper.....
Always had a soft spot for this shape.
I have the newer X300 shape. The old shape in this form looks really badass.
Ignore the Purists ... That is a Work Of Art . Stunning Mint.
Agree, just appretiate its being looked after and still driven to this day & not sat fading away
That is ABSOLUTELY fantastic! I’m a purist who did a glass out, every panel off restoration on my 1981 XJ12 in Rhodium Silver last year. Started stripping it on the 10th of February and had it all back together and completed by the end of last October. I’m 48 and have always had XJ’s since my 20’s, including a manual S3 6.0 TWR that I would never have sold, but for divorce. I understand and agree with everything you’ve done so well with your car. Nothing wrong with either the purist approach or a custom car that’s been put together so well such as yours. Fantastic job my friend.
Thanks for your kind words 😊
You're the kind of scum that would take the V12 out of a Diablo and drop it down to a V8 /spit.
Well done mate & that silver colour really helps show off the purist bodylines of these old beauties.
Wow, very nice sir. I own a 2004 Jaguar XJR 4.2 s/c.. almost 200,000 miles / 321,000 KM on her and I just got the transmission flushed as well as engine oil change with Liqui Moly :D
What a car, killer looks! One of my favourite Jags. Congrats on the build!
I don’t usually get jealous of another guys car BUTTTTTT this is a work of art !!
Very tastefully done indeed.
That is a gorgeous car!! i love it .... i really liked the comment about its better now, than potentilly eating beans out of it!! 😂😂 ... it's mean looking and sounding, but syill looks like what it is!! top class and well done!
W O W ! ! !
The definition of Badass!!!
The color is perfect imho.
Greets from Germany
Love it. Totally badass❤
Love it! You've achieved the right look imo. Really nice. Exhaust sound is sweet too!
Video end: Goes on auto trader to buy one to modify
Wow this is pure art. Should be a Museum for cars like this
Nah... cars like that need be driven, not sittin'.
what a masterpiece my friend
Shaun's vision is incredible - especially when you see what he started with and where the car is now. I'm a VW nut as well but this thing looks wicked, inspiring for sure
Man I’m in love. I grew up with Series 111 XJ6’s 4.2 and 5.3 sovereigns. Honestly you could not do this car any better. Looks horrendously beautiful 😻. I want to see it in person…
Excellent build. I can understand the compartmentalised groups of purists also snobbery slotted viewpoints. Lest we forget the Bentley Arange, Range Rover, Rolls Royce Phantom all of which have benefited from meticulous enhancements in some cases over and beyond original structural appearance even so far as affecting aesthetics. This car demonstrably retains its identity finding that balance between two eras classic and modern with civility of one not outdoing the other.
I love it. It reminds me of the XJ6 that drummer of Iron Maiden had made by Jaguar. Old and new combined; in that case a Jaguar engine still.
In that case they kept the original engine and got rid of the fuel injection system and fitted carburettors iirc
Macchina eccellente!
Looks great. Probably will never see a proper drive tbh.
That's a big cat… what an awesome motor
never liked this model but you changed my mind... 308 bumpers on this are just great looking! wish it was jag supercharged engine!
What a car wow. I really love this car.
Stunning ride individual one off I too like the concept lead don’t follow 🏴👍🏻😉👏
More driving. Less talk. Let's hear the motor. Can we get a part two? The producers did not do the car justice at all. Seriously you had 30 minutes. Let the car shine.
I've been thinking of doing pretty much the same thing for a long time now but with a series 2, only real difference being I would go fo black leather, awesome looking motor
Well done mate!😎
I have a 84 xj6 you have given me great ideas. I'm sending my car to I95 motors to get done.
It would be a strange world if everyone liked it, too many people get bent out of shape that anyone dares to modify a car that was likely to have been scrapped by now. Well done to have the vision and get the job done.
It may not be original but it looks super cool. This is what Robert McCall should drive
love it. Need this
Wow what a car amazing job i regret selling my jag the regSKX 36R at the time i hadn't the free time to look after it i don't know if its still about there wasn't a spot of rust on it anywhere
Thank you guys 😊
What the hell did you do to that classic Jag ....🥹😱🤨
Murdered it 🤣🤣
My dad had quite a few series 1 2 and 3 when i was a kid and always 4.2’s with a gallon of water in the boot because they would always overheat at some point 😂 i live the things even though i’m an old skool bmw guy, talked myself out of buying one so many times but i think you might have just forced my hand because your creation is just another level, don’t worry what the purists say just leave them to it on the side of the road with their steam show 😂
That's 1 fine motor fella. Rather this than a purist version all day long
I highly recommend these guys for exhaust fabrication. System on mine is a one off and it sounds great. Seen this Jag in the metal and it's awesome.
Same taste as me my mate , big cars Jags Mercs Granada's ! 😂 You have a beaut !
That’s my kinda car, very nice👌🏻
Take no notice of the criticism that is a lovely piece of machinery, I envy you.
That's a very cool build 👌🏻
British elegance and German power in one package!
Too far from the original one with what i would call .. bad taste.
wonderful this jag!!
That with silver wheels and chrome would be my dream...
i want to know more about that rear end, what happened to the twin shocks, how you got it on bags etc!
Yup me too, I just got done refurbishing the IRS on a Series 3 E-Type and was a royal pain in the ass, was thinking how cool would it be putting this thing on bags.
Thats gotta be one of the ulitimate series 3 's , excellent job
Hii
I'm from India
1969 Ford Mustang boss 429
With 5.2 L & 1000 hp engine
What will be total cost of this project??
Please reply fast
No idea 😅
Magnificent automobile, exquisite work, except for the camera work, why wouldn’t you show this beautiful automobile in better light so we could truly enjoy it!!! Cameraman please figure out how to use that camera!!!
That was personally my bad,I thought it would be cool to show the cars lights in the dark, the film crew did advise the workshop lights should be on......and I dint take their advise 😂😂
Beautiful
This thing is dope. Great build. Creative and original.
Gorgeous ❤❤😊
Why would anyone swap a BMW v8 for a v12?
BMWs use plastic parts and have timing chain problems!
You do relailse to this day jaguar are notorious for timing chain problems, x308 v8s plagued trouble, the new v6 and v8s plagued with trouble, and the ingenium engines also plagued with trouble, the v12 is hardley trouble free, over engineered ,over complicated, the heads sieze to the block,I do admit they got the chains right on the v12 and the xk aj6 and aj16
Wouw, this is a very very nice XJ a beauty, well done 👌
That looks fabulous! 😊
What a gangsta jaaag
Absolutely great job.. I myself would have kept the V-12...lol.. My son and I have done a complete restomod on his 86 XJS.. a complete shaved body(no door handles,, lights, Even the gas cap finger lip).. custom black magic satin paint.. custom interior, including removing the ridiculous aux tank, and relocating the batt in the right trunk pocket.. Port and polished intake manifolds, custom made headers, full Mobeck MFI system,, all steel are chromed,, all suspension dropped and blasted and powder coated.. 18x9" rim's.. a complete original TWR body kit.. custom good scopes.. twin 16"electric fans... A complete wire tuck (rewired the entire ER so almost zero wires are shown). All nuts and bolts are S.S.. custom steering wheel... As you mentioned my son now knows everything about cars,, welding,, wiring, suspension,etc.. We must continue this tradition to keep kids working with their hands.. and these beautiful jags alive..
Had 4 of these, loved them, great story and video thanks for showing us Puka
Forst nice car my dad ever bought was an xj, always loved them, as a young lad xj's were cheap so i rolled around in them , dont have one right now but will absolutely have another! Fantastic build!
Work of art. Well done. Beautiful car inside and out. 👍
Thought about this with a VADEM PLATEN Edition XJ9 from 2009... nice
Love it. Real artisan stuff.
bmw v8 it reliable like jaguar/ford
Absolutely stunning. Well done mate. You're a great story teller too.
Cheers mate, had 3 hours sleep before that interview ,I would like to think i would of been a little more articulate after a good night's sleep 😂😂
Haha nah you killed it mate.
That front end is absolutely stunning, mate. You've got your hands on a real head turner! @@keltecleeds
Beautiful car. About time someone modified an xj
Looks bloody lovely 👍👍👍
Aw another Big Cat on the prowl.
.
Fancy that, a tight Northener……
How unusual 🤦♂️
Who doesn't love a bargain 😂😂😂
Looks so awesome man! Love it
Beautiful car! I will likely use this color in my XJC.
Carpathian grey will look epic on a coupe 💪
This is the way to do it. I have always wanted to simplify a computerised car like an F type Jag and put in an old Mustang
drivetrain, so much more reliable. Now you have the shape and reliability to boot. Plus you can do a lot with a small block.
Jesus I can only Imagine running that with uk fuel prices, moving it off that ramp probably cost a fiver 🤣
This is job very well done sir
looks awesome
Stunning!
Fookin sick!!. Took a shitbox and turned it into a sinister diamond.. love it.. true meaning of built not bought! Top job my man 👍
I think in hindsight I should of started with a roadworthy example 🤣🤣
"Oh My Gawwwd".........Says the ghost of Arthur Daley! Godspeed to this gentleman for his lovely car & sharing it with us here!
Wow wow wow wow wow wow what a machine
Jaguar's independent rear unit is a work of art
Never have seen one sooo badaazzzz
I can’t stop looking at this car!
wow I'm loving this. What a build
Car is absolutely beautiful mate, the V12 is an amazing peace of kit but it’s also over 50 years old, expensive AF to repair and make go fast, what you’ve done makes purists 🤢🤮 but who cares man it’s your car and turned out great and at least it’s reliable now.
You've hit the nail on the head pal
love it looks reall menacing
Nothing wrong with the V12 jag engine. Only thing to look for apart from the obvious is the bottom crank seal.
Sean, what a fabulous car, purist or not, this is such a wonderful build and the sound is amazing.
Wonderful to see and hear you talking about the many hours of work that you have put into this beast!
Well done, great video, beautiful one off classic!
I would of liked to of heard a start up and rev, also a drive past. A car like this needs to be heard, Not just an exaust note at low revs. Amazing car nonetheless.
It's way ahead of it's time.
Too bad they are rust buckets.
Lucky who has the aluminum frame rust proof x 350 supercharged immortal engine.
It's fukin beautiful.
I've done mercedes and went all out.
Looking at a 88 xj x16 dirt cheap so obviously I have to go to town on it.
This is inspiring.. it's beautiful man.
That's literally exactly the kinda look I'd go for. Holy.
Quite similar to a 3.0 Capri.
Keep your he ain't Heavy he's my glue to the road brothers left in the boot..
Half a joke sandbags/Bags of cement.
Widebody which have wider wheels tyres woahhhh V12 jaguar.
I'm going PSI on demand air compressors as Efi carburettor/s
I av admired this car many times in the past few years calling past on scrap runs nice to see on RUclips go on lad❤
Cheers pal
