Monkey Shines In The Swing Level

Monkey Shines is a shareware game from the 90s. I managed to complete Spooked and In the Swing when I was younger, but not Spaced Out, About the House, or In the Drink. Here is the download link and registration information so you can unlock all the levels:

There were a ton of custom levels made for this game and a lot of them, including Cory's Tower of Aliens and Christmas World can be found in this download: www.mediafire.com/download/ygk...
To get these working you need to copy the custom level into the Monkey Shines folder and rename it to Bonzo World 1 (save the original file first, of course), so that when you go back into the game, the custom level will have replaced the Spooked level. Repeat for whatever custom level you want to play. Bonzo World 2 is the Spaced Out slot, Bonzo World 3 is the About the House slot, etc.

Older games don’t like Program Files (86) on newer operating systems so you will need to save it outside of Program Files and run it in Compatibility Mode (Either Windows 95 or 98). A recent problem I encountered was that the game was opening up in windowed mode and cutting off a bit of game screen. A solution I found that worked is to create a shortcut of the executable, which can just be in the Monkey Shines folder. If that on its own doesn't work, right click on the shortcut, go to Properties, go to the Shortcut tab, and then add -CustomResolutionenabled -r1280x720x32 to the Target name, no quotation marks required.

I really wish I could figure out how people are able to make it where old shareware games from the 90s instantly playable on modern computers WITHOUT emulation. If someone knows then PLEASE let me know what I should be looking up.
