If you do a Google Image search for '100 Action Arcade Games Volume 3', you get pics of the CD case but no pictures specifically of this game. I don't know where in the world you live, but there is currently a copy of this CD on ebay for a buy-it-now price of ~£12, but since I don't know what country you are in, I can't do a currency conversion for you, but you should just be able to do a search for that on Google as well. It may be on Amazon somewhere in the world, but it's not on Amazon UK. Basically, Google is your friend.

Well thank you! I actually meant an image like an "ISO" XD! haha. But you know what? Apparently I bought them ages ago and I found them randomly yesterday. I have both vol 2 and 3. But I still haven't found the game I'm looking for :(. Do you have any of the volumes?

I don't have any of the volumes. My Dad used to buy the Mac World magazine and it came with a CD full of demos and shareware and Monkey Shines was on one of them with only the first level available. My Dad registered the game for me to unlock all the levels and then I sort of forgot about it when we switched to a PC. It's only in the last 5 or so years that I've managed to find it online again. I have links to this game in the video description, and if you are having trouble getting it to work on a modern Mac, you can emulate old operating systems using Basilisk or Sheepshaver. It doesn't sound like Monkey Shines is the specific game you are looking for, but if you're looking for Mac ISOs, the only website I know of that has old Mac software is MacIntosh Garden.

I don't really use Google Hangouts so there is not much point. If you have any more questions your best bet is to just reply to this thread of comments. If people are finding this video by looking for old Mac software, it might help them find what they're looking for as well. And if it turns out I can't help (I'm really not an expert in all this stuff), then someone else who can will have a chance of seeing your problem too.

Yeah. You just need to put the worlds into the Monkey Shines folder.

I've almost mastered In The Drink, there is just one enemy I can't jump over without dying every time, I'm working on Spaced Out, and I've just abandoned About The House for the moment. I will finish them all, and record a no-death run of every level....eventually. This game was basically the entirety of my 12th year on Planet Earth :)

About the House has a jump in the very lower left corner that seems completely impossible to get the key without sacrificing a life. I only ever did it once by sacrificing my life, starting back at the top, and reversing course. By the way, I did port this game, somewhat, to Java. But I haven't worked on it in a long time due to other projects and some really bloody large life changes. That has an infinite-lives option designed for playtesting, or for getting through some of these levels, although the engine operates differently since it was black-box designed. Have you tried Phils Mac World? That's the definition of impossible.

There are two points like that in In The Drink. Bonzo has to get blown up by a bomb to get a key. There are also two fish that I just cannot consistently jump over without dying, and if I could just master that I'd have enough lives at the end to find the exit door, and finish the level. I have briefly looked at all the bonus levels, and some seem really hard, but I'm going to try and finish at least In The Drink and Spaced Out before I tackle them. With the way things are going at the moment, that could take years.

TortoiseshellJenny In the drink is not too hard once you get past the small hard bits. Also the exit is pretty straight forward in that level (near the bottom) so make sure you get all the keys on the top before going down. Spaced out on the other hand is super hard, they have sections that seem almost impossible. Some bonus levels are easier than the base game ones, but most are super hard. If you want a easier fun bonus levels to play I recommend Christmas world.

Spaced Out is the second level of the game and I have never been able to complete it. I'm close to finishing the level In The Drink though, but I don't know if I'll ever finish the final three official levels. Cory's World of Aliens was a user-made level, as the game came with a level editor. There is a download that contains all the custom levels out there, including that one and the Christmas World, and I do have them, but I have never been able to complete any of them, and I didn't save the download link for them. If you give me an hour or so, I'll try and find it again and put the link in the video description. I know you can download the game for Mac from a site called MacIntosh Gardens. I linked to it in the video description but the link again is macintoshgarden.org. You may have to run an emulator for an older Mac OS to get it to work on modern Macs and the one MacIntosh Garden suggest for this game in SheepShaver. Unfortunately I am still trying to figure out how to run SheepShaver on a PC (I think I need to buy a physical copy of Mac OS 9), so I'm afraid I can't really help you get Monkey Shines running on a Mac, and on a PC you can just run it in compatibility mode, but I think your best bet would be to try and get SheepShaver working on your Mac.

I also did a search for potential Mac downloads and found this link: www.5star-shareware.com/Mac/Games/monkshine-mac.html, but I have no idea if it will work on modern Macs and it does say it was released in 2002 for Mac OS 7. I'm inclined to think getting SheepShaver to work is still your best bet to run the game.
