probably the best and most straight forward bassline tutorial ive ever seen, thanks
This is exactly at my level of understanding of music. How could I miss your videos years before?
Thank you for this amazing tutorial on synth funk bass . You clarified a number of things for me in a very small amount of time . Plus I really dig your authentic and calm approach to explaining all of this , it makes it really easy to understand what you are explaining , Thanks !
I appreciate your calm approachable personality in this video. its very comfortable to me. i enjoy when tutorials do this
100% original and creative. You have something very good going here, please don’t give up!
This is literally one of the best guide videos for production you break things down so much more then other producers I’m gonna be binging all your vids
This is an awesome tutorial! Clear, concise, no fluff. Subbed!
Excellent in-depth explanations of the fundamental things to consider.
Very structured line of thought. Nice.
Really good content, thank you! The groove you added with legato and vibrato was awesome. Looking forward to applying that more on my production.
You explain everything so clear! like in depth and that is what a lot of these tutorials dont do.
This is the kind of stuff I was always looking for, thank you Eliana, your tutorials are amazing!
your channel is great! this is the most helpful video I've watched on baselines. I really appreciate how you explain things in a lot of detail while at the same time keeping it beginner friendly
This is a great video. Concise, without any fluff, yet covers the subject well. Really helping me a lot starting off as a beginner in music production/composing. Thanks Eliana, happy to be a new subscriber :)
You should definitely make a part two to this. I wanna learn more about da funk. This being the intro and the next being more advanced.
Daft Punk reference ‼️
Thanks. (Came here after your lush 80s chords vid.) Again gives viewers stuff to think about, play with and research.
Literally struggling with a disco pop track right now and this is just what I needed to get inspired for my bass part. Thanks!
@Sttange Fields a Four on the floor straight beat? 70s Disco is the basis of dance
Loving this - and your unique and friendly style! Keep going!!!
I'd love to see more tutorials! I just got an Arturia and I'm starting to make music. I like funk and hip-hop type beats. Anyway, your video is really helpful. Not many videos showing how to produce funky beats. I hope to see more, good job!
Couldn’t help but bop my head to this, this is so good! Thank you :)
You're fabulous Eliana, thank you so much. I'm finishing up a 10 track 80s funk album - wish I'd found you an year ago! You'll be a great inspiration and guide for the next projects.

I have been trying to program synthesizers, but since I often approach things from a rather engineery and structured pattern, everything sounded just boring. But I love funk and I wanted to understand, what makes music sound that way. Your tutorial was so visual and was exactly what I needed to connect all those loose ends. Thank you!
Very, very helpfull and wellmade tutorial. Keep up the good work.

Great instructive video ! Like Herbie Hancock says, "Funk is blast jazz notes or syncopated 16th notes, over a straight eight to the bar staple" . Bless on your life 😉

Though I didn't really understand how to add the vibrato :/
Thanks! Glad I could help. Well it depends on the synth, but usually vibrato is on the modwheel, so MIDI CC1.
VERY GOOD VIDEO! THANKS!
Very nice video!
I'm a bass player, lately I've been asked to play more gigs where the original songs had a synth bass instead of a bass guitar in it. So I'm trying to learn more about it.
Glad it could help! Are you a fellow P Bass player?
@@ElianaDAngelo My main bass is a fretless jazz bass, but I do love my P bass as well!
Jaco would be proud. I'm actually looking into a 5 string jazz bass. future goals. Right now just rocking a p bass.
