Here is my original Top 10.
ruclips.net/video/UU2TxnZquSU/видео.html
Btw just want to say, it's crazy you haven't gotten past 100k subs yet.
@@thatpurpledaddy6731 Yeah I'm going at it a bit slower than some but I'll be able to say I got there my way...not by following trends or selling out.
Bro you need to watch real steel it’s a fun film
I want a series
Cody can you see if there's an advertiser que for this video. The ad that played was for a scam website for a free chucky doll. It's using another companies name.
If not that's okay. I'm just saying if you possibly can please report them to RUclips.
Kick Ass 3 would be kick ass. Get it? I’ll stop.
indeed although i think the property is already in the hands of another people
I want to see a Hit Girl movie first then a Kick Ass 3
A direct sequel to Halloween III: Season of the Witch would be interesting.
I agree with this!!
I’d pass
Yes!
Great idea!
What to call it though? Halloween 3.2?
One Adam Sandler movie that would hilarious would be a sequel to The Waterboy. The story writes itself; Bobby & Vicki fall on hard times (for whatever type of scenario) & the only way Bobby can help get them out of the hole is to play football again & get in the NFL! Hell, he lives in Louisiana so he could join the New Orleans Saints! BAM! 😎
I really liked the childs play 2019 movie I really want a sequel to the movie
The kills were great and you know sequels have to step it up, I think it’ll be Awsome.
@@kevin_ramirez2529 "This is for 2 pac" :) Yeah, The kills were awesome. I agree with Cody. They just need to tweak it a bit. Pay attention to the feedback it got and we got sorta a new Chucky movie. But I don't know...You are almost torn. As I am faithful to the original. But after "Cult"...I am very weary of the TV series... :p
Agreed!
@ Brett linthicum wanna talk about it?
Loved it
Freddy vs Jason 2, Demolition Man 2, Cobra 2, Wayne's World 3, Austin Powers 4
Naked Gun 55 1/5 ha ha ha
Yes to all those. Don't know Cobra
Damn, the things I would do for a Kick Ass 3!
That predator reference was hilarious lol
I really hope that they make a sequel to child's play remake.
Trick R Treat 2 was announced like 3 years ago but nothing since..so who knows??
The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of The Unicorn is the film I want to get a sequel the most
Slither needs a sequel. It is such an underrated movie but it's great.
Christine (1983) is a great cult classic of the horror genre. Doing the sequel now would cause big time interest for it to become a franchise.
I will like to see a sequel of the original black Christmas movie bc we already got 2 horrible remake's and I think it would be better they made a sequel of the first black Christmas movie
Don’t worry, there is one coming out. It’s a fab film sequel being made by Dave McRae right now, who has a RUclips channel, and by the looks of it, it’s looking like it will be super high quality. It’s called “It’s me, Billy.” The indie go go is out right now
Agree with Trick r Treat. It Follows doesn't need a sequel.
@@BloodGuyReviews Yeah I don't need to have anything explained about It Follows. It would just lessen the original.
31 and Halloween were indeed dumpster fires. I love Devils Rejects though, enjoy House, and 3 From Hell was fine for a 1 time watch.
@@BloodGuyReviews Halloween 2 and Halloween 2018 both had their issues. But yeah, they're still leagues ahead of RZ Halloween movies.
Agree 100%.
We need Trick r Treat 2.
It Follows is a perfect stand alone movie.
Yo Cody, I was watching the conjuring 2 a few hrs ago and was thinking would u ever review them?
I really want another Kick-Ass movie, we definitely need another one, I'm glad and suprised you added that on the list
it’s a capital crime that The Nice Guys tanked at the box office since it’s a great movie
It’s definitely one of my favorite movies of the last few years Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe were great together
colten53 exactly
A surprise, but a welcome one. Can't wait to see this video!
Blessed that we got another one of these top 10s, appreciate you Cody!
I would absolutely love a sequel to Trick r Treat. I stumbled on it last Halloween and was like DAMN what a cool hidden gem that not enough people talk about
This post aged well. Hopefully the sequel is good.
Great vid. Love the concept and glad to get a followup. Can't believe I forgot Nice Guys, easily Number 1.
Although a reboot is more likely, Disney’s Treasure planet should get a Sequel.
Great list mate. Kick Ass 3 is one for me too was really hoping they were gonna do a third. Thanks for being an inspiration for myself to start YT watched you for about 3 years now your channel is class 👍😁
It’s so nice to see that you really care about your fans. I’m loving these top tens Cody!
I am surprised that Mr brooks wasn't mentioned in any of these lol
God dammit...I'm ashamed of myself
Its ok man we all make these mistakes 😂
I think if you do a third "Another 10 Movies that need sequels" you could include
•Daybreakers (2013) film that starred William Dafoe and Ethan Hawk could use a sequel. We never seen how they could cute all vampires and the sequel could see Vamps that didn't want to be cured.
•The Skeleton Key (2005) - after the lady transferred herself into Caroline Ellis at the first film (using vodoo ritual), by now she's aging and will need another young lady to take over.
Army of Darkness (1992) Try to figure out how to bring back Ash? He's working at A Mart and has fought the dead in the present and the past. How about the future?
Hey Cody! I’m not being dramatic or anything, but i wanna day thank you for content. It really has got me through some rough patches in the last few months. I’m not gonna dive into my problems here, but thanks for cheering me up every day. Keep up the good work man!
Glad you enjoy it!
Cody, my suggestion is more of a prequel that I think Doctor Sleep fanatics would salivate over: The Origins of Rose the Hat! I heard that Stephen King is writing a similar back story for Jason/F13 as a novel BUT he could always create Rose's travels from yesteryear as a screenplay! My choice for her leading man: James McAvoy! God, I want more of her...and ALL of Rebecca Ferguson!
Love, love, love The Accountant that would be a GREAT one to have a sequel to!!
1. Home Alone Legacy Sequel
2. Days Of Thunder 2
3. Chronicle 2
4. Kick-Ass 3
5. Volcano 2
6. True Lies 2
7. I Come In Peace 2
8. Trick R’ Treat 2
9. Christine 2
10. Silent Rage 2
how about John Carpenter and David Cronenberg as executive producers on Christine and on The Fly sequel that David Cronenberg wanted to make
@4:36 to 4:41 needs to be a GIF LOL!!! Love your content Cody!
Follow up comment @10:46 to 10:49 needs to be a GIF!
A follow up/sequel to They Live would be an amazing concept especially set up in current climate. A remake could work but a deep dive focusing on society recognizing the aftermath of exposure/recognition of programming would be entertaining
Thanks Cody for this one 🥰🥰☺️
Great video 📹. Really good picks . I would love to see it follows 2 and
An other trick r treat .
I can’t believe I also completely forgot about Man of Steel
When Bad to the Bone started playing I instantly thought of a another Problem Child sequel or remake 😂. Happy it was for Christine instead. Great video as usual, Cody.
Instantly thought of T2 ie terminator 2.
1. Man of Steel
2. It Follows
3. Zootopia
4. Kick-Ass 2
5. Warcraft (2016)
6. Happy Death Day
7. The Nice Guys
8. The Accountant
9. Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Content is awesome Cody! Keep it up.
4:38 lol love the reenactment!
Cody leach: the most underrated channel on RUclips. You're a natural sir
Great list Cody! Completely agree with all your choices. I haven’t watched the 1st version of this video but one I’d like to see is H3 sequel.
I'd like to see a The Thing franchise. We've seen it in an arctic environment twice. I'd like to see it in other environments, like a top secret lab, mining tunnel, or in the public at large. Maybe lean into the body snatchers aspect as the thing spreads across the world. Put it on a space station. There's so much you could do with it.
when you made the christine sound, I was thinking you were going to say you wanted a new Problem Child movie
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who thought that lol
I miss this intro music! It got me hyped up for your videos. The new one annoys me, I actually skip forward to see what’s what.
here´s a few of my wishes (which you haven´t mentioned yet): john carter - godfather - pandorum - rocky (as many as he wants to do, haha) - robin hood (ridley scott)
10:56 this on this list aged gracefully, and Bob Iger had Greenlight it already and it’s my ONLY anticipated sequel that can break the Disney Sequel Curse!!!!!!
When you liked my comment in the last video I was like "man, that means Man of Steel is gonna be in the next video". Wow, when you passed #2 I almost lost hope (pun intended) that it wouldn't make the list. So glad it did. Can't wait for 31 on 31 MCU/DCEU Edition, I saw it on Sean's calendar and went bananas.
Bro what is your intro music?? That sounds absolutely awesome!
I NEED a Kick Ass 3 and a Zootopia 2
Inside Out needs a sequel. The sequel should focus on Riley becoming an adult
Good list, Cody. I know it's too late, but I would have loved back in the day a Streets of fire, Big trouble in little china and The last boy scout sequels. And yes, I think we still have time for a Kill Bill vol.3
I read that originally, "Streets Of Fire" was intended as the first of a trilogy of movies. Because it shit-bombed at the box office, they abandoned that idea. But that is a great movie. Also like "The Last Boy Scout" and "Kill Bill" 1 and 2.
For me, 23 Jump Street, Charlie's Angels 3 (with the 2000s cast), and American Pie 5. Keep up the awesome work bro 👍
I like all those ideas!
I agree with Child's Play (2019), Trick 'r Treat, Christine, Zootopia, The Nice Guys, and Man of Steel! Trick 'r Treat is one of the most enjoyable horror movies that I've seen. I would love to see more stories in that series. The Nice Guys is one of my favorite comedies ever. I still can't believe that it wasn't a box office hit.
I think Pumpkinhead and The Toxic Avenger need another sequel or a modern remake.
Yep, Child's Play 2019 sequel needs to happen. The Buddy doll's design needs to improve though. In the 2019 film Chucky looked like a boy toy version of Ricky Martin who thinks he has good looks and looks handsome than anything else. Ha Ha Ha 🤣😅😂
I don't think Ricky Martin is handsome either. I am more into the political actor Albert Walking Bird Becker who was the real Richard Ramirez The Night Stalker for 35 years. He is my ideal beauty
@@marchionessamoretto7326 Ha ha I see. But that is why I said Chucky 2019 looks like Ricky Martin who THINKS he has good looks. He thinks he does, when in reality, he doesn't.
@@hideandpride1891 I see. Remember the picture where the 2019 Chucky held up a knife to his face? If they stick to that munchkin look that would be better.
@@marchionessamoretto7326 Yep, no doubt about that.
Haha yea i was expecting "child's Play" to be your nr. 1 in the previous video when i was watching it.. specially since you had a child's play shirt on ;)
Definitely agree with a lot of these, especially Kick-Ass and The Nice Guys.
Fun fact: I believe they are planning on making Child's Play 2 if they make enough money. Might be made in 2021.
I’m surprised you didn’t include Evil Dead (2013) or American Reunion. Those are definitely in my top 2
You mentioned in your Top Ten Final Girls Video that you wanted a sequel to Your Next 2013. I would love it. Erin Harson is my number one final girl.
Great idea!
I loved It Follows ❤️ I hope 🙏 they make a follow up
Man of steal def deserves a sequel... that huge fight scene with the girl and huge guy vs Superman is my fav super hero fight to date!
Trick ‘r Treat 2 has been in and out of Development Hell since 2013.
Cody made a sequel video about sequels. Brilliant.
Didn't know the Punisher was in the Accountant. Now I have to see it.
Just got done watching the first, can’t wait to watch this one!
9:17-A modern Christine remake could be a really badass horror film
If you are looking for an amazing anthology movie you should check out Black Sabbath by Mario Bava. Its got one of the most unsetling story which is built around something as innofensive as faucet dripping. A must see! Nice shirt btw 🤘
4:36 Time stamp which I don't know how to do, buuuuut now I know what to do if I see an old naked b coming at me, lmao. Cody at one of his best either intentional or unintentionally hilarious moments. I think I'm going to take the time out to watch It Follows just to see said old naked B who inspired that moment.
I want a Kick-Ass 3!
How about a Hit Girl movie first then Kick Ass 3.
@@captcrais101 I would love to see a Hit-Girl movie!
I'd love to see sequels to Retribution, Midnight Movie, Killer klowns from outer space, Night of the creeps, Monster Squad, Dreamscape, Hobo with a shotgun, Near Dark, My name is bruce, Bubba ho tep, Escape from New York/L.A to name a few ... have you thought about a top ten that deserve prequels?
a sequel to Black Christmas(1974) sounds like a wonderful idea
Yep these sequels should happen. I love your videos, Cody. You're the best!
I’m shocked you haven’t put SUMMER OF 84’ 👀 ( I watched it because of your review and man it deserves a sequel! )
To me that ending would be diminished by a sequel. The power of it is in the unknown.
great second list cody but you forgot one movie in both lists and that's a sequel to you're next you could easily pick that movie up where it left off and set it up to where erin was being hunted by someone associated with the hired henchmen from the original.
Have you done a top 10 movies that need to be made? If you haven't that would be a good idea.
I think it would be very difficult to make, but as an 80s/90s child, a really good sequel to Willow would send me to the moon.
Such an awesome movie. It was always up there with Goonies and the Princess Bride for me.
If I could choose a PREQUEL... I'd like to get an origin story for Loved Ones. Wtf. How does that bizarre family dynamic even evolve? What is up with Bright Eyes? Is she a trophy/lover that got lobotomized like the others? Was she the mom and the dad needed her more compliant so he lobotomized her? Did the dad throw women into the dungeon also, or has it always just been boys that don't live up to the girl's expectations? So many questions!
Wait, you've never seen any of the Christopher Reeve SUPERMAN movies? I think if you're a fan of modern-day superhero movies, you definitely owe it to yourself to see the first two. Even if you end up disliking them, they are part of cinematic history for establishing the genre-template.
I really want a Coraline sequel
The problem with Adam Sandler is I believe he hates sequels. I would love to see another Happy movie, Waterboy, Another Grown Ups(Although I thought the 2nd one was not all that great.) and others. I figured you would put in Christine. They just so much story they could either add or re-do with that movie. Such a movie that begs for a remake. I would also love to see either another Beverly Hills Cop or 48 hours movie from Eddie Murphy.
I definitely want a sequel to Man of Steel.
Also, I suggest watching:
•Superman: The Movie (theatrical or extended both are great imo)
•Superman 2: Richard DONNER cut
•Superman Returns
Room 237 Reviews ok, weird
Room 237 Reviews ok first off I don’t like BVS for many reasons.
And you can dislike these films. They’re just movies that are viewed with different thoughts and opinions from anyone.
Room 237 Reviews I understand where you’re coming from.
BVS, I just don’t like it. But everyone else likes it, and while I do respect opinions, most people don’t bother explaining why it’s underrated or is “objectively” good.
Room 237 Reviews I love Jesse Eisenberg, but he was extremely miscast.
Also who tf wants BVS to be the new superhero film template? That would be, ugh
Room 237 Reviews ikr
I would love to see a sequel to Real Steel the movie starring Hugh Jackman, that would be so awesome
14:22 THANK YOU! WB never listens i swear
So maybe like your take on Christine, reboot/sequel, Wes Craven's Shocker! Now Horace can jump from your phone to your tablet to your Xbox. Was a little ahead of it's time.
Enjoyed this list. Probably in the minority here but I'd like to see a sequel to The Belko Experiment. I remember you thought it was a letdown (I'll admit the kills could've been more creative in instances) but would you be open to a sequel with a different creative team perhaps?
I agree 100% with you about Superman. Never was a fan of superman until Man of Steel.. always loved Batman in comics and film though
That's my Boy was comedy gold.
This time i agree on most of them 😁 And I couldn't agree more on every thing you said about Superman. Man of Steel made me a fan aswell.
Hey Cody your awesome love your vids
talking about the nice guys i felt the same about boogie nights i felt everyone should have gone to see it and like it!
I do want to see another Man of Steel sequel, I loved Man of Steel when it first came out, definitely my favorite of the DCEU. Out of the other superman films I put this under the original 1978 in my opinion. Christopher Reeve will always be my favorite Superman but I think Henry Cavill is a fantastic Superman. Probably my second favorite. This time I want to see Superman take on Bizarro or Cyborg Superman.
Cody leach, great video! I also don’t understand the hate towards man of steel. I totally think the warriors or big trouble in little China deserve sequels (with Kurt Russell, no Rock)
I never thought about a Happy Gilmore sequel but that would be amazing 😂
Might as well do a follow-up for this video too.
Child's Play (2019): I mean, isn't the Child's Play TV show coming? Maybe that could tie in there.
It Follows: YES. Especially in this day and age, this sequel needs to happen.
Kick-Ass 2: Eh, I feel like we've had enough Kick-Ass. The Boys is a good enough spiritual successor.
Trick 'r Treat: Yeah consider me one of those. I feel like in the age where trick or treating isn't as popular, it'd be fun to see how Sam adapts.
Christine: Y'know what, yeah, bring on a Christine 2. If It can have a kick-ass remake, so can Christine.
Happy Gilmore: Hm... I don't think so on this one. He's a much better dramatic actor than a comedic one these days.
Zootopia: I'm genuinely shocked it hasn't been a Disney+ TV show at this point, it's ripe for that sort of stuff, especially for the call for cops to be more gray these days.
The Accountant: Yeah, this is ripe for a sequel for sure. Please don't Equalizer 2 this though.
The Nice Guys: Never heard of it, I'll have to watch this one. Russell Crowe in a Shane Black comedy is a fun idea though.
Man of Steel: I'm gonna have to say Batman V Superman was that sequel, as shit as it was.
Don Mancini is getting royalties from Child's Play 2019 and the Child's Play 2 remake if it comes out so forget the little protests by Christine Elise and Jennifer Tilly whose careers are as dry as sub Saharan desert
Another good selection, though I’d have to disagree on It Follows: I love the movie just as much as you do, but almost certainly (as you yourself said) a sequel will get into the origins & parameters of the curse, which will hurt the mystery of it; one of the movie’s strengths is that nobody knows where the curse came from, or exactly what its capabilities are. Some horror franchises give away a lot of that stuff even in their first instalments (like Nightmare or Child’s Play), which I don’t think was necessary either.
Those same trepidations apply a little bit to a possible Trick ’r’ Treat sequel: would Samhain become too much the focus of a follow-up, with explanations of his origins and so forth? (I must admit that I’m puzzled why this always gets called an anthology movie: unlike, say, Creepshow, all of the plot threads are interconnected and take place on the same night. Structurally, this film is more like Pulp Fiction, which nobody would ever call an anthology movie.)
Hadn’t thought about a Zootopia sequel either, but it might not be a bad idea: if so many live-action buddy action comedies can get sequels, why not this one (or The Nice Guys, for that matter)?
On that note, it's too bad that John Woo never made a follow-up to Hard Boiled, which was the last movie he made in Hong Kong before coming to the US (though he's subsequently gone back to China). That's probably the best movie he made, and is one of the best pure action movies period.
As for Adam Sandler, though I'm a 90s kid too I've never been a fan of his comedies, so if he never works with Steven Brill or Dennis Dugan again and sticks with guys like P. T. Anderson or the Safdie brothers I'd be much happier.
I remember watching the nice guys when it came out and it was my favorite movie that year
I really want a sequel to “The Gift” with Jason Bateman. I really need to know what happens after the movie ends. Damn cliffhanger that we may never get answers for smfh
See to me the entire power of that ending would be undone with an answer. The whole point was the toxic nature of an idea.
Cody Leach I had a feeling you’d feel that way. I just remember seeing it in theaters and when it ended the whole theater was like wtf
Just watched the nice guys and you’re right it’s fucking awesome. It definitely needs a sequel. Thanks for the recommendation!!!
I'd love to see an R-rated, borderline offensive sequel to Spaceballs. There's so much material to work with since the release of the last Star Wars episodes.
Unfortunately Mel Brooks is 94 and their doesn't seem to be an heir apparent for his brand of humor, John Candy and Joan Rivers have passed away, and it's unlikely that Bill Pullman, Rick Moranis or Daphne Zuniga would agree to reprising their roles for a 30+ year old movie.
Here's another fun idea to play around with, Top 10 (or 20, or 30) Movies That DIDN'T Need a Sequel.
