- Dannii Minogue presents a programme to mark Boyzone's 20th anniversary in the music business. Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy perform their greatest hits and talk about their beginning, break-up and the tragic death of fellow band member Stephen Gately.
Melanie C also joins the band for a special performance.

Keith, Shane, Mikey are not talentless - they might not be the strongest singers but they can still carry a tune and their voices complement Ronan and Steo's. Good to hear their voices taking the lead in some songs here. Long live the 90s!!!

I love the point danii made, Mikey may have been searching for his purpose in the band, but he's the one who made the call to reunite and probably have Stephen the best last few years of his life

@@MVK123 It is what it is, Ronan was Boyzone, Stephen contributed as well, but was mostly used to accent Ronan, the other 3 were just there for decorative purposes, if Boyzone auditioned in 2010, I don't even think Ronan would stand a chance against the competition, the members of this band were extremely lucky, they were put together in an era where boybands were in and Louis Walsh just saw an opportunity to make money.
I even found out that on the album version some of the members weren't allowed to sing and they hired professional singers to do the backup vocals lol.
Westlife is another boy band out of Ireland, they were all good singers and even after one of the members left the rest continued, but Boyzone couldn't do anything because their magical goose that laid golden eggs flew away in the direction of a solo career.

This was actually first recorded by the Four Seasons back in the early sixties. Boyzone did this as a cover!

Might sound strange, but after all this time, it finally doesn't sound wrong hearing Ronan sing Stephen's parts of this song.

I love Boyzone. Ive loved Boyzone since they started out. Stephen Gately was my favourite I was very upset when he died and was very emotional at The Brother Tour in 2011.

They each make beautiful music. There is not one who is talentless! The song," Love me for a reason", will never sound the same without Steo. His voice can never be replaced by Ronan. His was "one of a kind." The parts he sang, especially his falsetto, can never be replaced! Mikey has the closest sweet voice. 😘🥰 Shane and Keith not too shabby in their solos!❤ Ronan, you are amazing & your sexy rough edge makes us all swoon!❤😘😍

I never could stop my tears all through this programme! I love them always have always will. They gave me my very first album at 6 years old! And they all can sing! I always knew it even after the crap they went through for 8 years

Their performances have become more polished. They are still so attractive and aged beautifully. I loved that they didn't cave into being negative and heaped praised on their manager. The dancing girls were totally unnecessary.

Danii is smoking however the reason we are here yes. I am a rock and roller however I always did have three guilty pleasures in my life take that. Steps and boyzone the first time I heard them was words. On way to school on the radio in 96/97 I always liked their music and had their best of album when it came out. I remember when they got back together in 2007 and performed on children in need I was very happy for them I've also admired Ronan's solo work. When I heard of stephens passing it did shock me as well as millions of others and I thought what they gonna do now but they've carried on and seen it through. I did get the chance to see them just once. And it was the BZ20 TOUR in my hometown of Aberdeen Dec 2013 when I was on a night off from the panto I was in. And I gotta say it was a phenomenal show. As a four piece they worked superbly and know how to command the stage they in my book will never ever be as good as take that but they were always number two boyband of all time in my eyes sadly on this farewell tour won't get to see them either but I'm.glad we had them in this world they along with take that certainly do show the little boys how it's done enjoy your break lads. You a deserve it

Honestly, the Boyzone story is one that will be inspirational to many, especially after losing Steo so tragically. They are no doubt gained respect as one of the greatest 90s boybands ever! (And that's speaking as a Thatter [Take That fan]).
