The Afterneath is a unique pedal,- you have to be willing to give up some semblance of control in favor of the spontaneous and random.I had the V2, and really felt an expression pedal would have added a lot of practical value, especially on a circuit that would benefit from shaping once initiated. It provides some " on the fly" response/ capability that I felt limited without.
It can be used non Ambient, and prob is a perfect gateway pedal into the head space.EQD has slowly taken over my "wet" board, and the Plumes and original Dream Crusher are on the "dry".

    • @enterprismhouse

I think it's partially because he has a super long decay length set on the reverb pedal. It sounds really natural and great with that guitar tone so it does sound like sustain

Not sure what it is but I’ve yet to hear an Earthquaker reverb or delay that sounds warm. I own the Plumes which I love but I’ll be looking elsewhere for delays & reverbs... Strymon still sounds the most organic and warm/round/evolving to my ears.
