You have been my unofficial pilot instructor for the F-16 for the past couple weeks now and I truly thank you for your service. I love your style of teaching and it has helped me figure this machine out immensely. 👍
as so many others have said already, LOVE your video styles on all these different mechanics for the plane. so simple and easy to follow. i might actually try to hit ground targets for the first time ever.
I had never fired a HARM in anger until after I watched this. I set up a mission with radars all over the place, got the long ECM thing going and Holy Smokes is it so much more stressful! lol When there's SAM's locking you up with nails and spikes, incoming fighters adding their own radar waves, SAM's and HARM's crisscrossing, your own ECM pod is actually working and breaking locks, the auto counter measure "chaff, flare" yelling at you and your wingman blowing up because the AI pilots are idiots, it will get your blood pumping and your heart racing. I had to tone it down a notch. Only after the SAM search radar is down will the enemy CAP spawn in. I love it! This video made it all happen.
Amazing tutorials for the F-16!! I've discovered your channel yesterday and I've already subscribed! Amazing "to the point" tutorials!! I'll be telling my own viewers to look you up if they ever want to learn this plane! ;)
I have another one here that uses the HTS pod. This was made before the HTS was even a thing in DCS. Much easier - ruclips.net/video/S_iDjcM__KM/видео.html
Great video, one question, where does one find the range to target? I feel like I get a lock on something many miles away. I didn't see a range-ladder indicator on the HUD as I would see for other things (AMRAAM, JDAM, etc)
Very good point and very frustrating for me as well in HAS mode. Unfortunately, in HAS mode, there is no ranging. It is simply the HARM's antenna sensing the radar signature and doesn't give you a range. So, unfortunately, in HAS mode, you will not get ranging. For this reason, it is really only valuable to be used in situations where you already know the location of a specific SAM and don't have any others in the same line of sight. For Ranged HARM attacks, it is best to have a HAD pod loaded and use the HAD to target. With the HAD, you get EOM mode which gives ranging as would be expected in an AMRAAM or JDAM. I haven't made a video on this, but I think I should make one on each mode. Unfortunately, neither were available yet when I made this video.
I’m just learning the 16, and your vids are always on point for me. The part where you changed the page for the HAS. The countdown that was happening. Does that mean before you made it a specific search for the 6, it was gonna search for all that was listed on the left?
i keep getting an issue where it stops searching. like i will select just the 19 or the 6 and the countdown never starts and it wont find anything even though i know its there. not sure what i am doing wrong as i was launching missiles with no issues before
Hey love your stuff, learnt quite a few things and saw stuff I struggled with for weeks explained in a nutshell. Thanks. Where is the link for the SAM code kneeboard?
I know how to do it now thank you❤. But still a question: I see people locking them with the WPN page and sometimes i see people doing it with HAD. If I try HAD it won't show me targets. So what should I use?
Sounds like a nightmare if you have no forward info on what's out there. Can an AWACS search for these signals? I know that radars have a certain range, but certainly a piece of equipment tuned carefully enough could pick up faint radar signals from these far enough out right?
Nothing you can do if they turn the radar off. That's a tactic used by SAMs to force your HARMs to lose lock on the radar signature. The good news is that the HARM is designed to go to the last known location. So it is best to make sure you have the best data you can get on that target, before letting the HARM off the rails.
I can't "recommend" any specific mode as they all have their purposes. It would be dependent on what you are using it for. If you know the exact GPS coordinates for the SAM you're gonna hit, I would absolutely recommend POS/RUK mode (Which is pretty much what the HAD does once you have a good PGM quality on the SAM). However, if you don't have the HTS pod, and you don't know where the SAM is, I would use this mode (HAS). If you are just hunting SAMs without having a specific SAM as a target in mind, then the HAD would be great too. It's really all about what you are planning to do and what you have equipped.
Anyone else here because the tutorials Ingame are a little bit logic bugged? For instance; if I were to rush along and hit an action preemptively it basically breaks markers . Mfd displays go blank. Etc😂 I am

Thank you! I appreciate it. I'm glad they are helping!
dude I cannot say this enough, your videos are SO MUCH MORE helpful than every other video ive watched on how to use systems in DCS. thank you!
I agree. Straight to the point with no mathematics and 12 minutes of theory to why and how it works that way
@@royalgaming6541do you need the harm pod to use these?

Your content is top notch. I have few subs, but your channel is worth it. You're very easy to understand.
Thanks! That's exactly what I'm going for! Simple and Easy.
This tutorial was 10,000 times better than the nerd pilot they have in the training section. Subbed!
One of the best videos I have seen, easy to understand great explained, and I´m a beginner to DCS
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Praise you for sub 10 minutes no non sense tutorial ! thank you very much
Hey this video was actually very useful. Before, I couldn't target NATO SAMs. Thanks.
Hey! Glad it helped!! Hopefully it was quick and easy!!
Shout out to the super nasty looking baked reflections they have on the MFD's

Another Hong Kong No Shitter video that has no BS and teaches you what to know! Well Done!
Great vid! Too many tutorials that ramble on and on and on
This is a shorter one and is my go to mode for SEAD - ruclips.net/video/S_iDjcM__KM/видео.html
A lot of talk of the HARM, F-16 and SEAD atm. Timeless content
posting for the algorithm. thanks for the help dude
Thank you for this! The in game tutorial had me more confused!
Easy piecy, thank you so much, BD!
so much better than the training mission in the game thanks!!!
Great video...so easy to understand. Thanks!
Your videos are the best out there!
Thank you!
nice, always looking for a good way to use the harm. nobody told me how to use the tables as easy. hornet guy trying the falcon

Late, but the WPN screen's top right OSB also takes us to the sam tables edit pages

The kneeboard link is In the description.
@@BogeyDope Yeah, sorry, for some strange reason the whole description did not load :-D, saw it now.
Excellent stuff enough info to get you going but not to much info to do your head in. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
Great video - how are you recording your voice in this tutorial? Sounds like it was recorded in the jet itself, which is great.

Well, now we have the HTS (Harm Targeting System) and can use it to find these. When I made this video, they hadn't added the HTS pod yet.
Bogey Dope, what do I do if a target goes offline when it detects a HARM?

Where is demon switch?
"Deemus" DMS short for "Display Management Switch" in the Keybinds
i just wish we had SP mode like the Hornet then the F16 harms would be perfect!
Agreed. Hopefully soon?

whats best mode to use?
Whats the keybind to do soi
Display Management Switch (DMS) down until you get the white box around the display.
