Dragon Ball The Breakers Review (Beta)

- Dragon Ball The Breakers has been a very polarizing game. With outdated graphics and a different playstyle than usual for Dragon Ball Games, the opinions about the game are very divisive. After playing for a few hours during open slots, here is my review of the Beta.

Honestly this type of game encapsulates the spirit of Dragonball to an extent. From what I have seen they could have executed it much better though. Remember Everybody vs Nappa? Everybody vs vegeta? Dragonball Z has actually been pretty much asymettrical throughout its run time. There are often a lot of lower powered individuals working together to beat someone who has greater powers and ability. The problem is that humans are kind of too underpowered. But lets not forget how yajirobe cut off vegetas tail or how krilling shut recoomes mouth on his blast. I would absoloutely love to relive all of those dragonball z moments where you really have to work together as a team to defeat the big bad. Imagine having the namek experience in game form, where youve got frieza and his henchmen, vegeta, and your team, and everyone is trying to gather the dragonballs, sometimes you have to work together with the enemy, sometimes you have to hide.
In short I would like to see a game like this where the survivors are at least a little bit stronger, fighting is methodical and lots of opportunities for team based combos. Imagine if you could find a guru to unlock your potential, or train in the hyperbolic time chamber as points on the map. Imagine if you could find certain characters to teach you moves, or go to korrins tower to get senzu beans. Im all for ability enhancing weapons too, something like a z sword, but the baazookas in the game dont really seem to fit in with dbz lore. Imagine finding saiyan armor that increases your defense. THis type of game in the dbz universe has so much potential but they fumbled the ball.
The game honestly should be free-to-play since it has both a gacha system and paid cosmetics. This game needs a strong player base if it has any chance of surviving, and going F2P can really help with that.
oh definetly, the only reason i like the game is because i got to test it for free lol. making it free would probably be the best decision
Yeah, I am not wiling to pay for a gacha game. Either remove the Gacha or make it F2P
Fortnite is one of the top games for a reason lol
just like other games in the genre it will most likely go free o play at a later date and a whole new influx of players will join then.
@@EnvoyOfRot u know u dont have to actually use the Gacha system right? u can play without even touching it or by using the currency the game gives u for free by levelling up or when they have to do maintenance or something like that.
The biggest challenge for this game will be that entry fee. Not to say The Breakers should be free to play (and the cost is pretty low to begin with), but honestly, the game feels like it would have a better chance getting people in if you have it be free and then charge people that 20-30 for whatever they will be charging for.
Otherwise, the game itself could be fun to play as long as it remains engaging for both survivors and raiders. Definitely concerned about how random the drops are and maybe they will have a small update where you can have a “Beginner Set” or something along those lines so that your first couple of matches can be ok-ish than feeling like you got tossed into the wolves den.
Honestly after hearing about the Gacha system the game SHOULD be f2p.
The game should most definitely be f2p
Lmao who would waste money on this? It'll just be like fall guy's all over again.
I have enjoyed the game on Switch during all 4 slots. Never had to wait more than 2 minutes for any of my matches, only issue I had was the occasional lost connection...which led to a nasty 10 minute match ban. That's needs to be fixed as well, but people coming in with the mentality it's a full priced game is ridiculous. This is a small project and I applaud them for doing something different with the DBZ name...it's been stale these last few years.
My only issue with it is that we need to pay, if there doing a gatcha system at LEAST show some care and make it free, it doesn't even look at that good visually
Can u still play it today on switch?
@@xman011101 i do think making it free would be the best decision, i probably won't buy it cause i don't really have any friends that wanna buy it/really play it. and imo with friends it's just the most fun. not only that but they already got stuff from a free game so i am surprised they didn't make it free.
@@RobSanic555 they just finished the open beta (which was free) so not until release now unless they do another one b4it releases but that is unlikely since its only 3 weeks away.
I actually prefer the artstyle in this game compared to Xenoverse. Xenoverse feels too plastic-y and shiny. This is much easier on my eyes, even if technically it doesn't look that great. It gets the job done. I also feels like it has a nice strategy to it. Me and my friend who played became really mobile with our abilities, and it actually became quite routine to escape or even defeat the Raider for us by the end. The gacha is the only real concern, but I feel like even with that, it will never be TOO skewered in one party's favor. This is probably just me being very optimistic, though. I love these types of games, and this game brings a lot to the table that interests me. I think it is very deceptively simple. But I want to see what happens down the line.
I thought I was the only one that thought this about the character models in Xenoverse. They look like action figures and the scaling is weird.
God, I hate the Xenoverse style. It looks so fucking ugly to the point its worse than the ps2 era games to me
Xenoverse looks too plasticky compared to THIS???
@@JustJohn816 yeah the budokai downgrade with 2 bar connection matches is more plasticky
@@Artistofprocedure lol you really hate xv2
I'm a brazilian teenager, and while my family is in good condition, they don't like to gift me stuff, and that's conpletely fine. The thing is that i live in a 3rd world country with a currency that got very devauled recently, so i never had the money to buy those full priced dragon ball games even without the dlcs.
I'm looking forward to the premise of this game, i find it really cool, and I'm happy the price is going to be lower, i might actually be able to buy it.
Goid luck to your endeavors, man.
Keep your head up man
As much as I feel for you, I have to say that gaming is a luxury some can't afford.
@@totalrko anyone should be allowed to enjoy art. Then again not everyone has the time or money to visit an art gallery or even watch or movie.
@@josesosa3337 Most Countries offer you free entry for museums and galleries. I often visit the Museum of East Asian Art or other places. But Art is not the same as videogames. It is and will always be a expensive hobby and I thankfully got to the point where I can afford games. I'm sure kaironst will also be able to afford them in the future since he is only a teenager. Sure, he'll miss out on some games but I'm sure there will be plenty of DBZ games in the future
The one thing I like about this game is capturing how badass the villains are. Every dragonball game tries too hard to make everything balanced that it feels like the emphasis of each character in power is non existent. They're supposed to be terrifying and nearly unstoppable just like how the show treats them. You also get tired of the same story you heard a dozen different times.
Totally this. I think the game would have fared much better if it was like the trailers and you were totally powerless in a massive city hiding from a dude who can topple skyscrapers with his finger. Adding means of combat just feels like it was forced in because it's a dragonball game and they should have gone full send in the DBD style gameplay.
@@sage5871 I feel different on the matter. Because of how the gameplay works, if you were unable to fight back at all then the game would lean far too heavily for the raider end. If we were to go for a true DBD DBZ game, then XenoVerse should have NEVER been the engine they went with.
It might suck, but for game design this was the best. Jumping raiders is never a good idea to begin with, in my experience as a raider: fail too much and the raider just becomes too powerful to stop.
@@kyotanaka920 Why would you assume in this hypothetical new system the raider wouldn't be changed at all? I am not saying to ctrl alt delete fighting and just keep the raider as an ass kicking eye of sauron.
Xenoverse isn’t like that at all,all the villains who are supposed to be busted are busted thanks to the stats system. Same thing with most of the OG arena fighters too the only DB game with actual balance in mind is DBFZ
@@sage5871 eh, this is more so friday the 13th style gameplay, if this were just DBD with no real ways to defeat the raider, then this would just be a boring ass game. it's fun being able to jump the raider, and being able to hold him off while someone else is readying the time machine or whatever. honestly makes it just more fun
I don't understand the criticism surrounding the graphics.
Sure they aren't next-gen but good graphics will never replace good gameplay. (By the standards of the market, it's trying to appeal to.)
Shinobi Striker, Pokemon Legends, My Hero Academia's One Justice 1 and 2... would these games benefit from better graphics? Yes, absolutely! But does it take that much away from the experience? No I don't think so. They're still great!
Edit: I precise this game doesn't interest me so no, I'm not defending it, I just don't like one particular argument against it.
Graphic arguments have always been stupid. I genuinely think it stems from people who only play triple A games and expect that from every game down to indie games
@@felinemage8285 graphics honestly shouldnt matter. hell its 2022 and i still play on 30 year old consoles from time to time
People complaining about Breakers' graphics are the same that dickride BT3's graphics
@@vampire1256 and some games that are amazing don't have godlike graphics like undertale for exemple
starz undertale doesn't need good graphics since uk most of it is 2d flat images lol and beams of light occasionally dont bring up the master peice
Whoa, I never thought that Breakers would be divisive amongst the community. They're really sounding like some elitist Soulsborne fans.
"Oh, this isn't a Xenoverse 3? Not interested."

This game is so much fun! Can't wait to see you play it
Great game for the asking price. I was never interested in this type of game, but a dragon ball twist is what got me into it. What really gets me pumped though is that Dimps finally acknowledged that dragon ball existed before Z, that was my biggest pet peeve of XenoVerse: The villains are trying to fuck with history, but they're kind enough to leave Kid Goku alone..?
i never thought about that b4 but yea, the main reason why Dragon Ball wasn't involved in Xenoverse though was because almost no one could fly in Dragon Ball and u know Xenoverse has allot of focus on flying battles.
One thing to remember is that when this game was announced, they immediately confirmed that it was gonna have some sorta cross-content with Xenoverse. So it's definitely meant to be a side game that goes alongside Xenoverse 2.
What I want to know if an old save bonus is in the cards
@@kyonbrace5487 i believe u will get some sort of bonus item or something just like what was given out in the open beta but dont quote me on that.
ts underrated, its actually very fun and stratigic, but people hate because of the grapfics and the controls could be improved
Have some gameplay if u guys wanna look at pro gameplay
the gacha of abilities alone makes this game shitty.
Gacha for other stuff like cosmetics, sure, that's fine, but for the actual abilities and stuff? Nah.
Especially for a game that costs money upfront.
Gacha for abilities and power in a paid game is just a big no no
@@kiraflo98 aren't the gacha free though?
@@kiraflo98 says who? Why not make it like that so there's a incentive to pick up more skills instead of it being pointless cosmetics. This logic sounds backwards
@@Artistofprocedure Is the Gacha free? Because if not that's a terrible idea.
@@kauanjos3199 i'd assum just like xenoverse 2 you would be able to buy TP medals meaning if you're willing to spend (alot of) money you'll get the good shit way faster than someone who doesn't want to spend money on some dogshit monetization system like a fucking gacha
It's the kind of game I try out for like 3 matches if it was free and then never play again. At a $20 with the mtx you mentioned? Screw that.
If they add Buu, Goku Black and possibly even Hirundegarn, this could be a fan favourite title
It comes with Cell, Frieza, and Majin Buu as the starting Raiders. It would definitely be cool to get Goku Black!
What you said about slow matchmaking is interesting because it was very quick for me and was honestly one of the things I was quite impressed by, I played in slot 3 and I got through the tutorial and played I think at least 10 matches in that 4 hours, and the waiting time never exceeded 3 minutes for me
in the open beta it varied based on console and time of day for me, Saturday morning for me on Xbox i was waiting upwards of 25 mins for a match but when i transferred over to PC it was 2 to 4 mins at most, then later on in the day i was only waiting 5 mins on Xbox and the next morning 2 to 3 mins most for a match (probably because it was a Friday in America when i was playing Saturday Morning here in Australia).
Goku black NEEDS to be a killer in this game, he’s perfect for it
He's definitely not base game. The main focus is on the three big bads of Z. Hopefully this game does well enough to justify post game content, because Goku Black NEEDS this.
@@kyotanaka920 The game is called Dragon Ball the Breakers, not Dragon Ball Z the Breakers
I really hope it succeeds so it shows bamco we can consume games that aren't just arena and competitive fighters
This game looks super fun playing with friends
Honestly, I loved the game during the beta, I love the concept of the game and if course the fact its dragon all is even better, name another DBZ game that really shows how terrifying the villains can actually be, and honestly people need to leave the graphics alone, it's literally not an issue at all so I fully don't get that arguement, matchmaking was NEVER an issue, never waited longer than a minute for any matches. The games pretty solid and I'm gonna be going in head first.
Pizza de repollo
matchmaking is an issue though, it just depended on how many people were playing at the time since i had differences of 2-4 mins and upwards of 25 mins to get into a match while playing the open beta.

This is honestly the Dragon Ball game I'm looking forward to most. I don't need another Xenoverse or Fighterz right now, I need the franchise to do something new. So even if I end up not liking this game very much in the long run I'm going to support now so they don't just throw the same tired genre at us all the time.
I felt like i was a fucking pig on the beta
Did u play as oolong
@@FN64Productions yes
@@Ichunka well...that solves that mystery
Honestly, the lack of defense over this game isn't because of the game being ho-hum: it's because it hasn't found its way into its interested audiences' hands yet.
If you get FighterZ and Xenoverse2 players playing this game? You're obviously going to get a lot of hate. This is unlike anything they've played, and nothing they really want to play, over a franchise they idolize.
BUUUUT... if you get this in the hands of OG Dragon Ball fans, into GT fans, into even some Super fans - the fans that have been shut up and chased out by the more aggressive DBZ fans: You'll suddenly realize - THERE IS AN AUDIENCE FOR THIS.
Not only that, but variety streamers who have no idea what a Dragon Ball is: Would probably love this game. They're turned off from Dragon Ball because of its memes, but if they played this game, they'd probably be all, "Oh... this isn't what I expected Dragon Ball to be like." And ignoring the DBZ fans: yeah, this is closer to what Dragon Ball is. There's action, but there's goofiness, and there's tension. None of the other games properly convey that about the Dragon Ball series.
----giant wall of text coming up----
Also - another issue this game will run into is the very mindset most people have when they play this: They all think it's something you play for a little bit, and then drop off, and then play it again once in a while. Something you don't commit to.
But that's seriously digging your own grave for a game like this.
You *can* earn those currencies for the gacha mechanic, in the game. But it takes time, and it's based on your level. When I was in my level 10s, I was only earning 1 TP per level up - when I was in my level 20s, I was only earning 2 TPs per level up - when I was in my 30s, I was only earning 3 TPs per level up... And obviously, every 5 levels, you get 1 free summoning ticket.
This game expects you to grind and get better, not hop in and out.
And even worse/better? In this beta, the name was changed (can't remember it), but it's still in there. In the pause menu in the lobby, there's a greyed-out option... In the first beta, it was called "Dragon Pass".
There is going to be a Season Pass to this game.
That sounds like a nightmare. Gacha WITH Season Pass? How money hungry can you get?
BUT if they play it smart, genuinely play it smart with their Season Pass: Then the free route should have all of the solid Transpheres and TPs, while the paid route should have summoning tickets and Player Skins (like Bulma and Oolong). What people want/NEED most are those Transpheres. If they give solid ones for free: then players shouldn't feel crushed by their gacha pulls (unless they really need that UI Goku that we all know they'll eventually put in).
So how is a no-spend player supposed to compete in this game?
Like with all games: grind hard, and work with what you've got.
Krillin's Shoe (gacha)? Much better than stun trap (bought in store with regular game currency). But, I never got Krillin's Shoe no matter how many times I did the gacha... But I made the stun trap work. I've beaten the Raider with the most basic of skills in the game, at a 4/5 win ratio. You *can* make it work.
The only issue is: most people don't want to make it work - they want to be the best from the get-go.
So sadly, this game won't vibe with those kind of players. This is *intentionally* a grind-heavy game.
Those nice clothes you like in the shop? You'll have to grind for them.
Want to save up summon tickets for a special gacha event? You'll have to grind for them.
Want to reduce the cooldown time of your favorite Skill? You'll have to grind for those flames.
Want to complete a Season Pass? Season Passes are all about the grind.
This is *NOT* a game made to be picked up randomly every now and then - it is made for the people who will put hundreds of hours into Dead By Daylight just to get the perfect build. It's made for people who just love to play ridiculously sweaty or hilariously bad-luck games over and over and over again.
... The hardest thing for BandaiNamco is: it's going to be difficult to advertise to those people.
Oh... and also: They're more than likely going to put in a daily rewards system (probably via an NPC), like they did with Xenoverse 2. Log in daily for TP, play 3 matches for TP, be a Raider for TP, do a ranked match for TP (the regular matches are called "Casual Matchmaking", so it's easy to assume there's going to be ranked), power up a Skill for TP, etc etc etc. This should help at least a little bit for the grind.
As for my honest opinions on the game?
I genuinely am one of the very, very, very, very, very few people in the world that asked for a game like this.
It was either this or a Battlefront game with all of the different races and groups in the Dragon Ball Universe (for those not in the know: there's a lot more than just humans, namekians, and saiyans).
But yes, I'm that weirdo that wanted a DBD-like game of Dragon Ball. Because I genuinely did enjoy the first half of the Namekian Saga, and the first half of the Android Saga. That nervous-filling tension of a cat-and-mouse game for not only the stronger Z fighters, but also the weaker ones and the civilians? I genuinely adored that aspect in the series, rather than just the fight-fight-fight-fight-powerup-fight-fight-fight portions.
Because I honestly asked for this, my opinion is obviously going to be very biased.
So I'll just say: I love this game, I was looking forward to it since it was first announced, I was very happy to play it for the 2nd beta (all 4 sessions), and I reached level 40 in the game with a 4:1 win ratio against Raiders. I deliberately mained Survivors, and loved every minute of it. From my experience, there's a clear skill gap in this game. If you don't learn the timing of anything in this game: you're going to have a terrible time. You can even string combos with the use of skills. Most people don't figure that out until they reach level 30. Most people don't realize that different builds literally creates unique roles for each player in the team. My skill build was made to distract the Raider (jump pad, jetbike, stun trap, kaioken rush) to keep them from finishing off players, so that my teammates could revive them - and it also doubled as a key-finding build, since I'd be consistently the fastest player in the team. Meanwhile, there were other builds that focused on finding the Dragon Balls, ones that focused on opening up chests and boxes for *other* players to loot, ones that focused on revives, and etc. This game has unlimited potential because of these varied Skills, especially through the Skills attainable from the transpheres. I adore it, and am super-excited to get it on its release.
I like seeing Dragon Ball experiment with new ideas for games. Dragon Ball Fusions was such an underrated beauty of a game. It's nice to get something that isn't the same generic copy paste arena fighter with an overload of characters all having the same set of skills, and even nicer that I don't have to cough up 60 dollars for an anime game for the first time in a few years. Though to be honest even with the gacha stuff I feel like it would be best to keep the 20 dollar price tag, Bandai's been known to have its fair share of greedy tendencies so at least this way they can't get away with the extremely predatory f2p gacha methods. Not to mention Captain Tsubasa also had lootboxes-well, "lootboxes" when the game released on Steam and consoles, but they managed to handle it pretty well so I have hope.

im waiting to see people beg to add Frieza to DBD lol
@@vampire1256 They should add Majin Buu to DBD, could turn everyone in to candy!🍬
It might not be for me but I rather see them try something new than to make the 234th Beat-Em Up Game and making the villain seem more terrifying is a cool idea.
As soon as I heard gacha I was out though
The game is 20 bucks and their expecting to sell cosmetics right away. Just make the game free at that point
i had no idea it was gonna have a gacha system, that's unfortunate.
I am a dragon ball fan and honestly I loved this game, I don't get why people hate the graphics so much I mean yeah sure It's not your average gpu burner but it doesn't look bad either.
and the gameplay is also pretty fun. the only problem I had was that matchmaking system, if the matchmaking system actually had an avg of 1 min then I could see myself playing it constantly.
People are babies who say well if every new game doesnt have graphics better than anything else than its automatically catshit
I sincerely want a higher budget remake with a higher selection of villains and more overall variety
"Be here for many years to come."
Wait, what?! This game is online-only so you'll be lucky if it's supported for three years.

The gatcha system yes is kinda dumb but Shinobi Strikers has the same thing for weapons and clothes, Claw meta was so strong on release because it was a gatcha item
I honestly love how this game looks. It reminds me of Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2, which despite also being a mid-tier game in terms of gameplay, was probably the best looking DBZ game of the 360/PS3 generation
The Raging blast series is so slept on. I never understood it, It’s literally HD Budokai Tenkaichi
To be honest? Make it free with rotations so many more can try it out. With that Breakers can blow up

Honestly the one thing this game actually needs on release, is cross-platform.
If they get that, they will be set for a while.
Honestly, my thoughts are this game has brought to life a great concept, not to mention I feel like this IS in line with how PARTS of the dragon ball z series feel. Especially the early stages of the Frieza saga. People were not trying to actively engage the villiains because they were too powerful. That combined with the Bruce Falconeer soundtrack made a lot of the early series feel tense. This more in line captures how the early series felt back when the heroes were powerless compared to their foes. The problem however are the gacha mechanics + improper balancing. Which is a shame because I think this game would be great otherwise.
i entirely agree
I don't think I hate this game I just don't care, when I look for a Dragon ball game I'm looking for something that can capture the feel of the anime and let me play as all of my favorite characters, breakers doesn't really do any of that
This looks like a fun game for 20 bucks, but I just really want them to port over those other frieza forms into xenoverse now. Lol.
Playing this game “casually” but ONLY with friends isnt causal play
Creativity should be rewarded, thus I hope this game sells well.
For a price of only 20 bucks it’s honestly not that bad
On matchmaking i think it was platform depended as on pc slot 1 was 8 mins max and 2-4 was 4 max. The major issue is the game would freeze occasionally (mainly in menus) and you would have to alt+f4. But in the end all my friends loved the game and are excited as hell for its release.
Also the time chamber allows you to use spirit energy to get the specific abilities you want rather than gacha but it was near impossible to get them in the betas small timeframe. ended the beta with like 16K (you start with 10K) spirit energy i think lowest cost one was 20k i think while playing 2 frames fully 1 frame half the time and missing 1.
The Xenoverse engine is really starting to show its age. Wish they could have used whatever Kakarot is running on.
That game has even more limited gameplay, it's like press one or two buttons to attack.

I really enjoyed the game and I never expected the combat to be insanely good. I kinda don’t mind the clunkiness 😂 I plan on playing it a lot
If breakers costs money tbh cosmetics and skills should not cost money I’m kind of tired of people saying it makes sense cause it really doesn’t the devs for maybe an indie it’d make sense but this is dimps and bandai we are talking about.
Nezuko's advanced form has been realeased
What if I don’t have any expectations to adjust?

The game is great it's fun unique and I love asymmetrical games I'm having more fun with this than I ever did with DBD

Awakened Nezuko is out man!!
I played all 4 sessions and everytime I got a match I got stuck in q infinite loading screen it happened for all 4 I didn't get to play 1 match wth

I can't wait for it to come out. It looks fun for the right pricerange.
The game isn't my cup of tea so I'll gladly pass on paying 20$ i could save it for a game that is out that needs a DLC
Yeah but bro you can get a full game for 20 dollars instead of a dlc I feel like you’re stupid and in the wrong for buying an dlc when you can buy a game honestly the new gen dbz fans are criticizing stupid ass shit bro
Balanced like star wars battlefront 2, with them OG lootboxes.
I had fun with the game. the only complain I have is the waiting for a match.
I wish there was a way to let Dimps know that it will be better for the games life span and players if they put in Bots with good AI that takes those empty places when it can't find players.
U gonna make a video on nezuko soon? I don't really know what to think of her
I don't hate the game lol
It looks fun bruh
I just hope they add some more raiders in the future
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this did not look good 😂. It doesn’t look bad but looks just alright
I havent played it but i would imagine it would be a lot of fun with friends
for a single week.
Thats it.
20 bucks not bad for a different type of DBZ game , other then a full on fighting game I’m happy not mad at all
I'm just glad we're getting something new that isn't a fighting game.
This game is paid an also has a gacha system:
"I will never forgive the Japanese!"
I love the concept for the game, but the execution and visuals are just not up to par to me (Jeez that UI is hideous). The visuals imo are borderline ugly a lot of the time, then mix that in with how rushed the game looks and it's overarching lack of polish and you have something I'm probably just gonna skip and save my money from. The concept is actually so fitting and phenomenal for Dragon Ball, they just didn't have faith in it.
Interesting, in my opinion the visuals are far better than xenoverse 1 or 2, but I guess it’s a matter of personal opinion
@@Moony_7860 I also think Xenoverse looks ugly a lot of the time. Breakers is just the Xenoverse style but with a way smaller budget and way less time put into it.
Don't forget this game is only in beta, It will release in 2 months and they will probably fix the controls and UI because they did improve them from last beta
@@masterbaiter8860 Heavily doubtful. 2 months is barely anything in development time. This is how the game is going to be at launch, minus lots of bug fixes.
@@Waddicker You have a point there, but the biggest issues in this game are controls and UI, I'm not a programmer but I don't think these 2 take a long time to improve
“Live or die by streamers”
And there lies one problem with the gaming industry
Thank you for the video it was very enlightening 😊
Does anybody else think that Rumbleverse would be a great game to put a DBZ skin on and kind of split the difference between this game and maybe the battle arena game that DBZ fans might be looking for? Just a thought because knocking people off of skyscrapers or recovering into a sliding knock back and then powering up to knock somebody into a building feels very DragonBall, and Rumbleverse doesn't really have the backing of a popular IP to increase the player base. Win-win?
Are you gonna talk about the new made in abyss trailer
ADVANCED NEZUKO IS OUT ON THE DEMON SLAYER GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For €20 it’s definitely worth it, the game is fun
That this game isnt f2p is really mindblowing. Would be kinda ok if it was free just for a fun with friends play but needing to pay money and needing a online sub in consoles to play this is a big no.
I’m honestly kinda excited for this game, I think it’ll be fun, and it’s only like $20
I feel making this game Free2play would make it lean heavier into microtransactions for more than cosmetics, like items that would give too much of a edge to survivors, or villains. I rather have the game keep it's price, or raise it in favor of the progression to be improved with a better system, one that encourages to play through the matches rather than P2W.
After hearing gacha system thank you for saving me money. I will give you a sub and a like.
Considering the 2 most popular dB games rn are DBFZ and XV2
Who tf is judging a dB game based on graphics?!
And this is an interesting take on the franchise.
I wish 17/18 would be a boss since that's what they basically do in Future Trunks timeline.. hunt down humans
Because XV2 and DBFZ are the best looking dragon ball games to date?
@@doublecupdanny6053 DBFZ? Yes. XV2? All characters look like they've covered themselves with oil.
Also people downplay Kakarot's graphics a lot
@@Plyskin05 Kakarot's graphics are some of my favorite graphics to date with DragonBall games. its not super bright asf like XV2, but its not totally reliant on shaders either
@@doublecupdanny6053 right so dbfz looks like a 2d cartoon so that's like comparing it to marvel vs Capcom 2, there's only so much you can do with 2d.
Xenoverse I love but the actual in game models are bulky and not very smooth looking. Raging blast models look cleaner than XV2.
But at the end of the day it's game play that matters most. Games can look great but what's the point if it's not fun
I know I for one won't be playing it.
I was in both betas and I never once was able to queue into a game. Everytime I selected the option to play online I got booted to the title screen. I reported it multiple times and even went to twitter with my issue but I never got any help to fix the issue. I'm not sure what was causing it and it doesn't seem like anyone else had this problem. If I do end up buying it, I'm going to rush into online play as fast as possible to see if the problem persists. If it does, it'll be the fastest refund I've ever made.
Looks like this game is gonna end up as Evolve 2
Any thoughts on the Jojo side tournaments on EVO ?
Just saying having this game means that soon enough we'll get dragon ball party game or expand in other genres
or do they release a beta that doesnt work
Honestly I've been loving the game. Cost, skill floor and balance will certainly hurt the game a lot. I will happily play it until it dies tho
I enjoyed listening to your take, although your thoughts on the time it took to get into a match didn't happen to me. I heard that was mostly a problem for Playstation testers and Xbox had a bit more players to it. But PC had no problems whatsoever on connecting into a game. At most it was like 2 mins, and at least it was 10 seconds.
Honestly this will easily be the best dragon ball game by far!
