This is really good video summarizing all short change videos, in this video you also included animal proteins & especially fat which is very important for our health, while taking fat we should keep in mind Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio. I have been following the same diet for the last two years with very good scores of HBa1c 5.3 (2021) and HBa1c 5.4 (2022) and Lipids are also very good in both the years, wheras I was diabetic with HBa1c 6.8 in 2018 and my triglycerides were 360 and HDL was only 30 but now Triglycerides are only 58 and HDL increases to 53. If people follow your explained diet videos I am 100% confident that India will get 50% people get out of diabetes. This video should be taken very seriously by diabetic people. I am an example for people, living in Carbohydrate rich society, I tried to manage & till now controlling it (Since two years). I hope to go long as 10+ ,20+ years till my life.

@@SunilKumar-pg2xf I can't explain in detail here, basically using Low Carb throughout, with good Fat eg Olive oil, butter & Desi Ghee.
Roti, Rice, bakery & sugar are out of my diet since last two years.
Calories intake is according to my Macros. It is near to Keto diet.

Thanks a lot doctor. Myself being a vegetarian I used to follow your 50+25+25 principle only and my sugar was under control also. Of late, I come across a slight high potassium for which I have been asked to avoid greens, beans etc which are my favourite. It was 5.4 and now it is 4.4. Though it has come down being scared I have not come to normal diet. Even I was asked to avoid millets. Thanks to the Doctor and dietitian of Avadi branch for guiding me properly on right time.

@@drvmohan Good evening Doctor. Thank you for the reply.
My potassium was 5.4 in May 2022. I was advised for a low potassium diet in which I was asked to avoid beans, peas, greens, millets and dairy products in low quantities. I was following and monitoring every month till December 2022. It was decreasing gradually. Say .3per month. It decreased upto 4.5 then again increased to 4.7 and 4.9. In December 2022 it was 4.4.After that I am yet to check. They have asked me to keep it below 5. So I am cautiously following that. As I have already said I am yet to start the normal diet. But I feel difficult in managing the low potassium and low carbohydrate diet. Even the vegetables which can be used are permissible of 100 gms. per serving only. Now they have asked me to take normal diet. My sugar level increased because of low potassium diet. I would like to have your suggestions.

@@prabhaakshayalingam2732I feel for you. I am also a (South Indian) vegetarian and when I ate lot of salads that had greens my potassium levels went up.
Even ‘beans’ / legumes based (Rasam / Sambar / Kootu etc) without any rice at all, still seems to raise blood sugar. One wonders what are we supposed to eat that satisfies our palates, agrees with our stomachs and not raise blood sugar.
      All the best to you!
