I just bought the cosmic black one because I needed a new one anyway and I will say as someone who puts on a lot a mascara everyday, that the cosmic black is definitely a bit more black than the darkest shade of the pink tube
Edit: the tube of the cosmic black also last about a month longer than the pink one before it dries up

I just got the black one and it really makes a difference even though they’re almost the same
Glad you did a video about this lol seriously Just bought this last night and I got blackest black and cosmic black and I had a really hard time seeing the difference.... My head tells me the cosmic may be a teeeeni tiny bit blacker but honestly my daughter and I can't tell and our lashes are blondish/brown.. so ya ultimately I don't believe there's a difference except for name and packaging. I picked up the black and pink tube today, and was trying to figure out the difference. Honestly, I chose the Cosmic Black because I hoped it would have silver sparkles in it lol, but sadly, it's just black mascara lol. Thanks for letting me know the difference between them (which is basically nothing).

I don’t know if I’m crazy, but from your swatches I think the Cosmic Black is a darker black than the Blackest Black 😱 But on the eyes they look completely the same hahah

@@sittingprettywithj i have a question so if you get a brownish black shade in the sky high mascara why does it look a little different than the black like it doesn’t give that fan effect? or is it because it’s brownish black?
@@penelopetuilp Hi! my guess would be the shade difference since brownish mascara usually gives a more natural look versus a black mascara 💕
Cosmic a little bit more matte than the original so it looks more black but the shade is the same 🥰
@hobistinyheartbag I despise mascara brands doing 5 dam shades of black. Makes it so confusing when you are buying trying to guess which truly is the blackest when that's what we are looking for! 🤣

Thank you, that was very helpful! I had a feeling it would be impossible to tell the difference between two shades of black mascara. And they already had TWO blacks! Now there are three. What a gimmick 😝
It MIGHT be interesting to put both formulas on a white piece of paper to see if you can distinguish between them there. But even if you can, it’s ridiculous to have a new shade if it’s imperceptibly different when worn.
I agree with you 100%! They could have done something different like improve the formula or change the design of the wand or make it a travel size or value size, or make a dark brown version, etc. When I wiped the mascara off with a makeup wipe they still looked the same lol I’m happy I was able to help and thanks for watching 😊

My eyelashes were falling out as I started using cosmic black, but it looks ❤️🔥. blackest black is not so beautiful, but safer for lashes
I also ordered sky high the pink one really excited how it will go ..love from India 🇮🇳

I was wondering the same thing! I was at walmart today & there was only cosmic black or black brown left. I looked at the shelf & I was like what is blackest black?! Seriously it just dumb having 2+ blacks. I didn't walk out with anything b/c I didn't know what cosmic black means. BTW I don't wear waterproof either. I don't want something that will take off my lashes when I have to remove it. Seems counter productive.

@@sittingprettywithj Does it remove easily like tubing mascaras? Does it transfer on tbe lids? Those would be my main reasons on trying it
@@sugerless20 it didn’t transfer on my lids and it is a washable mascara (I use my Garnier micellar water on a cotton pad to remove mine) and unfortunately I never tried a tubing mascara before so I wouldn’t be able to compare. I hope that helps 💕
I believe the difference is Cosmic Black has black pigments

It was a clean wand and when you put it in the mascara it turns black from it
When you swatched them, the blackest black looked darker than cosmic black.
I don't see the difference enough to pay $3 more.

I get the water resistant mascaras because they don’t smudge, I’m always rubbing my eye and I forget that I have stuff on my lashes! So to not look like a raccoon at work I use the water resistant ones 😂
If it’s just for a virtual meeting I’ll just use the regular ones so I can easily remove them since I won’t wear it all day

I think the 799 cosmic black shows more on your lashes than the 800 blackest black, the lashes look longer thicker on the right eye.
I want the cosmic black but none of them is available in waterproof version in Vietnam. I plan to wear it at yoga, sports: with all the sweat, if not the Mansoon rain or humid tropical weather, it has to be waterproof. Only 802 Very black is available in waterproof so I wonder how different it might be from 799 cosmic black.

Hi! Neither one of these are waterproof. The waterproof one is called “Lash Sensational Sky High Waterproof Mascara” and it comes in 2 shades: brownish black and very black. 💕 thanks for watching 💕

Hi! The cosmic black one isn’t waterproof and color wise they are pretty much the same color. Cosmic black maybe a hint darker. I haven’t tried the waterproof one thou 💕 thanks for watching
