Have you experienced teammates deflecting the blame on you when they are losing lane even though you are dominating mid? Do you just mute or does this pressure you to unnecessarily rotate?
ye, then you pos 1 and 2 that dont pick in picking phase then to grief they go to the same lane together and the pos 5 has to play midlane and then morph sells items and u cant do shit :)
This is an amazing video and reaffirms my beliefs already about mid lane and mid lane meta. It's pretty hard playing with lower mmr friends and them crying about enemy mid lane ganking (because the enemy mid is getting nothing from mid so theyre forced to roam).
Amazing video! I’ve been doing coaching with balloon since the beginning of this year. It’s amazing how all of these concepts were being taught to me as a crusader/archon and seeing it apply in the immortal bracket is crazy. Goes to show that balloons lessons will continue to benefit you as you climb
Wow. And here I thought 7.5k mid main players already drilled in their head that they will only move if they can get something out of it without dying. His last hit prioritization and match up understanding is definitely great. But he fell off in my eyes when i saw him not prioritizing mid and keep making unnecessary "plays" Reminds me of my playstyle before i discovered your videos.
@@tsenguun You TP if there is a chance to turn things around, particularly if the fight is reachable in time to your hero. If not reachable or no chance to do anything like kill and turn fight around, then no point going over.
As a mid player myself, it is very important to mute every one because they always expect you to rotate. But If I was destroying lane like he was, i would have stayed mid and make necro petrified even to show himself in the map. Never forget to farm while rotating, dont just camp on the side lanes. Everything is all about Mathematics.
Very nice video. I like this format because I get to hear both the reasoning behind an action and your explenaton why that's good/bad. I do have a question though. You mentioned that you should keep pressure mid if you're winning instead of trying to create pressure elsewhere. What should one do if you win mid, enemy is a level or two behind you, you keep up pressure mid but people don't come to you - the enemy mid ganks a sidelane and starts coming back. Are you supposed to still stay mid and farm in that situation? I've come across this multiple times - I win mid, am ahead in gold and xp over the enemy mid, I siege tower and farm either my own creep camps by T1 or the enemy's. While I do this, the underfarmed enemy mid keeps going from sidelane to sidelane, getting kills because they're in a 3v2 situation and they're still a mid with XP and gold, and they end up ahead of me in NW and XP. Even though I get mid tower while farming both lane and jungle creeps. This is the 3k bracket, so I am obviously doing things wrong, but I am curious what I should be doing in such a situation. Supports in this bracket often don't help the mid lane (both my and the enemy supports, we're all 3k, not just my teammates and enemies, me too).
@@GamerGuy1O1 hi bro, of course there will be case-by-case scenarios where there were perhaps situations that required you to TP in to join and turn a fight around, or a fight broke out that was reachable but you chose to stay Mid instead. The key here is as long as the enemy wave is coming to you, you have a short span of time to quickly clear it, and decide whether to move to a side lane through their jungle to gank a high chance kill / push a tower depending on if your hero sieges towers like DP, DK, or come back to mid and repeat that process on the other side of the map instead. This is by no means telling you to AFK mid and soak up farm while there were tons of openings to move to side lanes through their jungle for successful ganks or towers. That is why it is so valuable to have someone point out these scenarios to you as every situation can look different. It requires a lot of repetition and understanding of your hero's and every other hero's limits.
@@BalloonDota thanks for the response! Of course, Dota 2 has so incredibly many variables that almost every time something happens it's to be dealt with on a case by case basis. I will try to keep in mind splitting up my attention better depending on what task I'm doing (clearing wave mid, then push tower OR clear jungle camp nearby, then reevaluate). I'm new to your channel, but it seems like I'll be sticking around. Thank you for your input and content!
But if you are drawing attention, you are putting yourself at risk of dying. Sometimes when I stay at the lane there are going to be gangs, and I am losing the tempo if I die. What to do in the case when even though you won the labe every part of the map feels dangerous, especially with heroes who can easily rotate e.g spirit braker, earth spirit, shaker as he has lots of control

Even your hero have high mobility like qop, ember or pb? You'll stay mid and destroy the tower or it depends? I still don't know when to gank side lane. I always gank when I'm going for the rune or when the enemy is near my sidelane's tower
@@bon8484 high mobility heroes provide a higher chance for kills to succeed. Most of the time a TP for these heroes will almost always generate a kill. You give the best theoretical advice but unfortunately for solo queue there are too many infantile teammates that don't care if you won mid, they will throw a tantrum and give up if you don't tp, even if it's the wrong play. This is mainly for laning phase and slightly after laning phase. As the game goes on into 10+ mins, it would be inevitable for sidelane rotations to happen, not forcefully but naturally as a byproduct of forwards wave and jungle pressure.
Seems suspicious that this player is 7k mmr and doesn't know basics like not to dive tower for kills in sidelines and taking mid if you are crushing the lane. Even 2k players know how to do this. Looks like one of those players who get dopamine hit from dominating enemies in lane and team fights by displaying extreme mechanical skills, but don't want to care about game objectives. It's like they think "I'm too good for this shit, let my peasant teammates handle the objectives I'll get the rampage instead". Question is how did he get to 7k without already knowing these things.
I do know those thing ofc lol, I just test my limits from time to time to not just climb mmr playing the safest way and be a 9k-10k player doing the same thing every game, I wanna level up my gameplay and knowledges at the game at the same time i climb up mmr, forcing me to be in those situations give me more pressure and more material to learn of my own replays :)
