I felt so ashamed when I see those people begging from a tourist. Please don't do this . As Srilankans we always have a very good image about Kerala. We wish you all to work towards a more developed India.
Its only those fishing nets people. Outside of that Kerala is pretty much scam free compared to rest of India.

Daud If you want real silver bracelets go to any good jewellery shop. Mostly road side seller are selling polished one.

@@Prince-bv4ke Who told!? here for one tea people normally charge 12-15rs and for one bread omelet, it will cost 30-40rs. The guy in this video made the omelet much bigger. So, it will be two eggs! and the price is also reasonable.

I am very happy to see you made your way to Kerala, it's certainly 'God's own country.' I was an exchange student in India back in 2005 and Kerala/the Punjab were my favourite places and where I felt most comfortable in India as western woman.
Then you should visit other places in India. Especially West Bengal and Northeast India, which is actually the safest states for women.

The konkan coast of India from Maharashtra to Kerala is the safest place in india. There is no presence of army here. All districts of this region have 90+ literacy and High HDI

The ‘silver’ items are actually brass which has been ‘dipped’ in silver water, a basic form of electroplating. It gives a very thin silver coating that wears off quite quickly. If the item is all silver you can always get it redipped.

So that 'chinese net' catches only 2 or 3 kilo fish every day after 200 to 300 pullings? I guess it depends on how many fish come swimming near the net.... Why dont they fix the net to a boat or a group of boats and actually row down to waters where more fish are present. They could catch more fish.
