We have a very powerful banker without a face who is smart and values feedback but has a lot of class biases & gut feelings about what should and should not be funded (including power over those investments that will disrupt her own interests) even though they may benefit the larger community. As a result her town is not experiencing positive growth and change from the top down but, instead, a slow death and decay coming from the bottom up. She’s not fully aware of what’s really happening because her niece, the RUclips journalists, knows that her aunt is her number one customer and would be uncomfortable with to much focus on the death and decay she has had a hand in. That is not a small town. That is America 🔥🇺🇸🔥

17:19 I feel this phenomenon is playing out in the attention economy as well.
E.g. youtube may suppress or just not promote videos like these that could start discussions that have potential to inspire groups to move in ways which diminish the economic power of these platforms in the long run.
Love how you explore alternate possibilities to wall/main st. :) please keep sharing!

The main problem with the current financial system is the system itself. It does absolutely nothing to help anyone on a moral or ethical basis and disregards or doesn't include damages that will occur. Basically because morals, ethics and the ecology are not profitable. My main problem with it is that there is no alternative means. Therefore, we are all slaves to money / finance.

For one as a programmer, domain expertise is needed for inference of the validity of an idea, this seems like all the biases of those with the connections to end up in banking are more the genuine source of poverty than any government action because starting a loan with lossy compression guarantees volatility and system collapse

This seems an expansion of Hayek's diffuse information problem.
In which case, the financier IS the problem.

Missing component is time restricted investments platforms for local businesses, to avoid the volatility brought on by inhabiting a market that has large disruptions in distribution lines

The more you talk, the more I ask how can the west claim to believe in democracy if banking is not public, but this far on in years lossy compression is now expected humans speak of lossless compression but I'll be dead before we achieve it in conversation.
