  • In this DIY video I will build a bedrail mounted 6 gallon water on demand system for my Toyota Tacoma truck camping set up. I lay it out in a step-by-step process of how I built this water system. You can build this water system with parts that are easily bought off of Amazon, Walmart or any hardware store for about $50. I hope this project inspires you to build your own projects and customize your camp / overlanding setup. Thanks for watching, it's really appreciated. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. Stay safe out there! TbT #Tacoma #Campwater #Truckcamping

    Where did you get the propane holder from 😊

      I custom built it myself. It’s just poplar wood glued and screwed. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Liked. Very good. I'm looking for some ideas to use in my subaru forester. Thanks for sharing. 👍

      Thanks. Hope some of my vids helped you come up with ideas. I’m sure you’ve seen Softroading the West’s channel - he used to drive a forester and had some mods too -his designs are a little rough but he has great content. Also Solid wood worx does great high quality builds and you could get some ideas from his channel. Thanks for watching and commenting. TbT

    I just saw a pretty cool way to stop the fraying on the end of paracord. Take a small piece of shrink tube and put around it and shrink it down and it won't Fray. I thought that was pretty cool myself, I'm using it

    Great job! I had something like this set up for my mobile detailing business, the only thing I had was a fill tube. You could add a tube to the vent cap and use it to fill the tank without removing it from the truck. I had a 60 gallon tank so it was much easier. It would also allow for good venting all the time without water splashing out, provided you keep the hose high enough. Well done!!

      Thanks. Yeah it’s have thought about doing the filler thing, but just haven’t found the right fitting/ cut in piece yet. Mostly do shorter trips so the full tank is usually enough for us. Thanks for watching and commenting. Stay safe out there. TbT.

    Do you think you could get adequate pressure if you have a spray nozzle instead for dishes?

    • @TravelingbyTacoma
      @TravelingbyTacoma  3 года назад

      No, we just use a collapsible dish tub. Fill it with water and bio soap and you’re good to go.

    Simply gravity fed?

      Yep. Works super well too. Best camping mod I’ve made I think - adds so much space to the tailgate and I don’t need to touch the after container anymore when camping. Thanks for watching and commenting. TbT.
