@40:00 Voracious means hungry, so sacrificing the food at the altar could have triggered contact with the goddess. Also, the card there was a unique card which could have been really good, right? Gotta spend money to make money! (Gotta sacrifice food to progress the story!)
One more hint occurred to me. I had to leave during part of this stream temporarily, but at least out of what I saw, you never pulled out the lens included in the game. It was included for a reason! It may be easy to miss if you have not seen a Fresnel lens before...it looks like a sleeved clear “card” (in thickness not in material), with what look like concentric circles. It is a “flat lens”. That can help you find even more on cards!

Just as an FYI, the save and restore will not help the hunting since the original hunting cards get banished and replaced by the gold cards, restoring a save does not bring back banished cards, only those in the past.
Save and restore will allow you to draw another green at that hunt spot however since the gold goes back to the box when you save. You always take a green before gold so it is definitely a way to hunt some easier game as most spots have 2 green hunts and 1 gold.
