    i7 3770 + 32 GB of ram plus a good GPU is enough for 1080p gaming and it can run all the games that cool guys play I mean the Battlefield series.

    • @digitaljon1109
      @digitaljon1109  Год назад

      Yup! It can run almost any game at 1080P, and 30-60 FPS. The only 2 games I know of that struggle on it is Cyberpunk 2077, and the new Call Of Duty Warzone 2.0.

    never know that rtx + epic settings will makes fortnite looks like cyberbug 2077 and crysis thingy that even rtx 3060 isn't enough to run it, and it's nice to see how i7 3770 dosen't become bottleneck there (never reach 80% cpu usage)

      If I am not mistaking, Fortnight doesn't use all 8 threads on my CPU. I am not positive though.
      Also if I where to use my dual core Pentium G7400 at the house with the 1440P monitor, and played at 1440P, it would also most likely max out the GPU.

    Any performance difference between ssd and hdd when gaming? You were using a HDD for a long time, why the sudden decision to change? #curious

    • @digitaljon1109
      @digitaljon1109  Год назад

      Well. There is 2 things. This computer always used a SSD, ever since I got it in 2018. But my main computer at the other house with the Intel Pentium G7400 had a 5,400 RPM Western Digital Blue, which was 3 TB.
      I did actually recently upgrade it to a 1 TB Inland Platinum as the boot drive. And the performance in games seems to be exactly the same, at least to me. But I struggle to tell smallish differences like that.
      And the normal Windows usage is about the same for me too, as I leave everything open. But opening everything is a bit faster.
      The reason I upgraded from a HDD to the SSD is due to the price of electric where I live. It is $0.54 USD per KWh. And if my HDD is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for a entire year, that comes out to $94 just for the HDD alone, if it is using 20 Watts.
      And for a SSD using 1.5 Watts, it would cost $7 per year. Which is a lot cheaper.
      But to be fair, 20 Watts for a HDD doesn't seem right. I would think it would use less.

    try realtime priority to see if it runs better on epic + rtx settings

    • @digitaljon1109
      @digitaljon1109  Год назад

      That won't do much in this case to be fair. From my testing in the past, the "high" or "realtime" priority's don't do much, at least if your computer doesn't have anything open in the background.
      But like, on a very slow computer, if I record with OBS, and am watching RUclips, it would be good to put OBS in the high priority, so it doesn't lag. But it will make the video lag.
      But in the test I did in the game, I don't have really anything open which will affect the performance.
      Thanks for the comment, keep being awesome! (:

    next time put ram usage in overlay becuse I have I7 4790 with 8gb of ram (gtx 1080) and on fortnite runs soo bad and I tought ram wasn't problem or I got bad silicon becuse it was using only 80% ram, but I replaced one 4gb stick with 8gb stick (12gb total) and it performs like champ now (cpu usage is still same at around 60-90% buth I get 200fps easily and use more of my gpu, buth before hardly 75fps stable)

      I been thinking of doing that, but never did. I will do it next time. Thank you for the feedback Almost Broke! (:
      How do you like your i7 4790 by the way?

      Yup! I have a Discord server.
      I did use a i3 2120 for about a week. And I also used a Core2 Quad Q8400 for about 2 weeks and it had 8 GB DDR2. So I do have experience with it.
      Where you using a HDD? Or a SSD?
      Yup! We do have a Discord server. I have had it since 2018. Join it if you want to. (:
      Thanks for being around by the way! I enjoy replying to everyone! Thanks!

    Because you're using an older processor you are bottlenecking the card

    • @digitaljon1109
      @digitaljon1109  Год назад

      Are you talking about the GPU held back? If so, it depends on the game, and the resolution.

    • @ApplePlayzGaming
      @ApplePlayzGaming Год назад

      @@digitaljon1109 If you're using a older CPU but a newer GPU, It could have a chance that the CPU will be bottlenecked, Yes I already know that it depends on games and resolution, but also depends what Graphics preset you use too, With the epic preset you could almost max out the GPU which means you're testing the GPU, Also the RTX 4060 could be coming soon since this year, the RTX 4070 Ti released in January 5, 2023

    • @digitaljon1109
      @digitaljon1109  Год назад

      @@ApplePlayzGaming Yup! But a CPU bottleneck doesn't matter too much anyway in this case, as the parts are at leas somewhat close in performance to each other, and it runs the games good.
