    I upgraded my 2014 GC Limited to the 2021 GC-L Overland with all the extras and 4x4. I love it. I don't have kids, but I like having the extra space. I prefer this over the Tahoe and others like it simply because they're actually much bulkier and, I feel much safer in GC in severe road conditions than I would in a Tahoe. As high as the price is on these, it's actually comparable to other SUVs in its class. And from all the shopping around I did recently, you can't buy anything else in this class, with all these options at this price. Most brands out there don't even offer a good chunk of the options you get with this.. I love mine. ❤️

    You do a nice job describing this ride and the function of so many gadgets they have put into this model. You also talked about the second row bench seat which is something we want and cannot find in the Steel Gray color we want. This video was made covering the 2021 model. Here we are in May, 2022 and we are hearing we cannot order what we want. Kinda early in the year to shut off ordering! Strange times for them and potential customers.

    Hello JB Reviews. Good review video for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L in the Overland trim. This was the trim I was waiting on for review. The fun starts with this trim level in terms of luxury. This would be the trim level of choice for me. In general the Jeep Grand Cherokee L will not be bad news for me. I test drove it couple weeks ago. Overall ride was nice n comfy and it wasn't even the top trim I test drove. One I test drove was in the Limited trim. So, just imagine how the higher trims Overland, Summit and Summit Reserve feels like. At the time for the test drive it didn't feel like a third row seating vehicle. It didn't feel heavy or wobbling. When the time comes for me to get the Jeep Grand Cherokee L I'll get it in the Overland trim nicely equipped with the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8 engine. The rims shown in this video I would get those as well and the gloss black roof. I'm not a fan of captain chairs in the second row, so I would get the second row bench seat.

      Great info Jeffrey, I think most people cross shopping the JGCL will love the overall look and increased space but for most who have owned the 5 row JGC Will probably still prefer that one especially when they redesign it 👍🏾

      @@JB_WhoWork The new generation fifth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee with the usual two rows of seats will be out. Either by November or December it'll get released. Some people are waiting on that. The overall appearance will be like the 3rd row seating Jeep Grand Cherokee L, but with couple other differences besides being a little shorter in length. Earlier this year back in January at the presentation event, Jeep said they decided to include third row seating based on requests made by current Jeep Grand Cherokee owners. The requests made to include 3rd row seating wasn't a little bit. It was more than quite of few requests to a good amount made including one by me. They said another reason to include third row seating this time was that most of the rival mid-size SUVs have third row seating. In general third row seating was rumored for the third generation Jeep Grand Cherokee, but it never came to fruition. Third row seating was also rumored for the outgoing fourth generation Jeep Grand Cherokee, but once again it never came to fruition. Now it did for the fifth generation and I'm glad for that. One thing I noticed with Jeep is that the advantage they have over the competitors is overall flexibility. Flexibility in terms of features, trim levels available, engine powertrains available and in this case vehicle sizes. Later this year after the new generation two row seating Jeep Grand Cherokee gets released, Jeep will have two kinds of mid-size SUVs for people to choose from. Actually, three if you include the four door Wrangler. Two regarding the Grand Cherokee though. Not all, but most of the competitors only have one mid-size SUV in their lineup. With the Grand Cherokee if someone wants more space along with more passenger capacity choosing the Jeep Grand Cherokee L would be best instead going to a rival competitor. If they're not concerned about passenger capacity the regular two row seating Grand Cherokee would be more suitable. Whoever is shopping around can pick and choose what they want in the Jeep lineup which is good. Both the third row seating Jeep Grand Cherokee L and the two row seating Jeep Grand Cherokee will do well in overall sales.

    I am considering the L over the two row because I need a little more cargo area and I would leave the third row folded down. I’d really like to get a Ram 1500, but it’s too big to park in many places in L.A. and won’t fit in my garage. I currently have a 2014 Overland.

    Strange question. During your test drive period, did you notice any vibrations while sitting at idle in gear, with your foot on the brake; or during quick acceleration with vibrations in the gas pedal? I just bought a used 2021 JGC L Overland, with the 5.7 and I’m noticing some strange subtle vibrations.

    Finally found one like we wanted, so we drove over 550 miles to trade for it. That was 3 weeks ago. Where are the garment hooks we should see along each side towards to back? Can't seem to find them. Oh, maybe that's a trade off for all the electronics. I'm thinking we will need to get some suction cup hangers to stick on the top of the back windows so we can put our hanging rod across there to hang our cloths on for our trip.

    Very Good video JB.
    I do agree with what you say in regards to the size in that for say a family of two children and two adults the Standard Wheelbase Jeep Grand Cherokee would be sufficient, and when you go to the larger families the JGC L versions would suit them very well. I cannot get over the Tech that is in the new Overland L, it is now mind blowing......lol
    I am looking forward to see if Jeep bring out the new 5.7 JGC Standard Wheelbase. People say buy the Diesel, but it is not for me as I do not do the miles anymore like I used to as I am now Retired and I find myself sticking close to home because of the COVID Pandemic.

    • @ImYoutubing247
      @ImYoutubing247 3 года назад

      @@rauland that’s true but the comp doesn’t offer a V8 except the Durango. Yes the Durango will compete with this even if they’re both Stellantis products. The GC L is heavier then all its competitors too. I guess I’m more hung up on the what you get for the price you pay with jeep. I can see maybe the Altitude and Limited offering a V-8 that would make sense too.

    • @rauland
      @rauland 3 года назад

      @@ImYoutubing247 all the more reason it’s going to be a premium upgrade. If you want an suv with a v8, you have to jump up to a full size suv - Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade, Sequoia etc. And the GC, while being heavy for its size, is one of the smaller mid-sized Crossover/SUV’s on the market. My 2010 Traverse is larger in every way, and it’s V6 is more than ample enough to haul 4 adults and 3 60+lbs dogs plus luggage. The market has dictated that V6’s are fine for that particular vehicle, and the fact the GC offers a V8 is just a bonus. And if you want the bonus you’ll have to pay for it.

    9:00 min. mark, oh yes, it's still expensive you may get decent options but these are high priced, not for your average working class stiff.

    It`s a crazy nice car but the engines are a big let down (maybe even a deal breaker). For that money I expect a more modern drive train. I would save the money for the massaging seat group and the extended tech package and get the 5.7 for the same price.And why the 10.1 screen in the Overland is more expensive than it is in the Limited is way beyond me.

      Yea I’m not too happy with the 3.6L being standard in the higher trims and I think Jeep should position a TT V6 in the mix as well. The 10.1 shows standard online but the window sticker shows 8.4 standard… they also show projector headlights on their and that’s incorrect lol 👍🏾

      @@JB_WhoWork On the configurator it shows the 10.1 costs 1700 on the Overland and 900 on the limited, lol.

      Dont know why people fret over that 5.7 hemi motor. There is little info on performance of 3.6l vs 5.7l motor, but from what i found smaller motor gets you high 6 sec 0-60 and optional v8 drops that only by 0.5 sec. 6.5 sec is too slow for a v8. Price wise you are in a bmwx5 and audi q7 territory with this thing and germans deliver 5.2-5.5 sec times even with inline 6. Jeep needs to put in a modern drivetrain and stop peddling ancient motors at this price point

    The fit and finish needs to be dialed in. The doors don’t lineup with the fender and rear quarters. The gas cap cover doesn’t exactly match the rest of the vehicle paint. The money that there charging it should be near perfect.
