- In the final wave of battles, Team Venom Hound and Pushing Daisies clash at the PAX EAST ESL Pro Am Tournament!
Team Venom Hound battled their way through 126 teams, to get to the CHAPPiE challenge finals, xXDallaBillzXx winning the tournament, and $15K with Vexxed, and Mr. Croft, GhostXAK, and Dirtysh33ts as runners-up, and winners of $5K with KPB. They’re now looking to combine forces and crush the competition at PAX East.
Pushing Daisies: With 3 Evolve tournament victories between it’s members, Pushing Daisies has the experience and the skill to give the rest of the competition a run for number one!

I'm still playing this game. It's because the development ,did not have a lot of faith in it when they started it.
It's actually dead. I can neither find it on steam nor in the ps4 store. It's no longer available for download.
@@lonesomewendigo yeah they offically closed all servers due to the parent company shutting it down, the devs wanted to continue but wasn't aloud too.

Lowkey feel nostalgic over this game now. I had a wonderful experience with this game, never knew how bad of a rep it had until a year ago. I revisited this game just last week and it’s been pretty fun for just a solo experience. I do wish you could still play online though, sucks that they shut down the multiplayer servers.

I always admire the sportsmanship and the warm community of this game despite how the game turned out.
The captain from team Venom Hound looks like HE could be a hunter in Evolve.

I love this game man, played it since day one and I have to say as a Goliath the only teams to ever kill me have been using daisy and bucket. Bucket's turrets are a nightmare when they place them spread out in a dome because you can't escape the dps. Have to admit i'd love to try my hand in a tourney! I think i'd have a good chance at winning

I have questions, why does player on goliaph jump so bad? he jumps just straight , not higher to cover a greater distance. And all of them didnt know when and how to evolve at right time, why they dont eat to gain armor if armor is main even if it in a small amount. And i have so many questions to ask... I see their skills only on battles as a hunters, but still not every time.
Can you make the letters bigger? I can't read the team names...
so how does it works does one player from each team just play as the monster?

Usually the most skilled monster player on your team plays. It's often the trapper, because they're usually the best at reading the monster and vice-versa. They are allowed to switch if they want; as one team did for the third place matchup.
Think of it like a shootout in hockey.

Normal matches are 4v1 and no need to switch, you can just leave the lobby. But it wont switch teams.

Hunters movement are to predictable, doesnt know how to use jetpack. Dont know how to dodge monster attack. Doesnt play climbing hill lmao.

I've always been curious. Can someone explain to me how exactly competitive Evolve works?
+Kyle Hantaa what do you mean, theres two teams of 4 people, they play the game against each other, they try to win... what do you mean?
Like how are matches setup? Given one team has to be the monster how is it determined etc. Rule set and so on.
Like does the opposing team rotate on who ends up playing the monster or something?
Kyle Hantaa in this competition there was a coin toss, the winner gets to decide monster or hunter to start, the loser gets to pick the map. The team that is playing monster picks one of their members to play it. The two teams swap side after every round.
Oh ok I understand it better now. Soon the monster side I assume the otherr 3 members give advice and assist him correct?

the first thing to be said... I find that the friendly spirit between the opposing teams is a win-win for both of them... if you look at Starcraft II the people hardly share a word with each other...and it feels like they are almost reluctant to shake each other's hand...
Second, It is sad they never got to really balance it up, the game could have been so much more.
Maybe something even to being akin to planet-side 2 almost. where monsters players battle human players for control over areas orso.
point is, I think you could balance the game... even if you had to reduce monster strength and have maybe 2 monsters vs 5 hunters, they should have kept working at it. and this game could be dominating today. - with new monsters, hunters, areas and all that.
But this was great to watch.

+Tyler Capehart I think they use it as like a double noise canceling headphone. The earbuds produce the sound and some noise cancellation and the headphones don't produce any sound but provide a lot of noise cancellation and they use the mic from the headphones too.
I remember seeing the same thing in a CoD tournament a while ago and the team did it because the crowds can get really loud and having that setup just helps them concentrate.
+lilturk726 I've heard one pro (not in Evolve but multiple games) say that the earbuds are indeed for sound, and the headset are for team-speak and specifically for sound cancellation (crowds at big events apparently get noisy). But the headset also served another purpose. He would turn up only game sounds and a few other audio settings (a very complex sound mixer setup that I only briefly got to look at) in order to hear/feel vibrations of the sound for a more 360 degree feel.
To clear that up, the headset would have game audio cranked up but other settings off so when enemies were around him he could like feel they were there to help him from being surprised.

Yep, that makes sense. These pro players need every bit of help they can get to get a leg up on the competition.
earbuds play game sound, headset is for voice com and noise cancel so they cant hear the commentators give out any information.
this just shows the fault is not in the game but the way people played all these guys play there classes roles and help each other it's a team vs the monster while on the normal multiplayer it's just 4 lone wolf's vs the monster as you can see if you play as a team the game is actually good

I played this game for about 6 months. Bought it the day it came out. But after a while it seemed like it was dying. Took a while to find matches. It was booming for a while, but didn’t last.

The monster can't destroy the relay if the hunters attack him. They weren't letting him end the game.

In the last Kraken game he had so many chances to end it.
